Cannot review the food unfortunately. Biked 20min to eat here, arrived at 8:32pm with the doors locked, floors cleaned, and everyone cleaning the kitchen- they must have started at 8pm. Sign on the door says closes at 9. I would call ahead if trying to eat within an hour or 2 of closing.. Poor business practice in my mind. read more

Went in during break from work because I had been recommended it. I told the man that was working the counter I had never been there and asked for a recommendation. He just pointed to the menu and said "something here" and walked away from the counter. I ordered their "world famous" chicken sandwich. As I handed him my debit card to pay, he touched and made contact with my hand while not wearing gloves during this pandemic. All he needed to do was grab my card as I extended it out to him but he made contact with my hand. I received my order within 10 seconds of ordering. Atmosphere is awesome. Graffiti art on the walls. Super clean and friendly , helpful staff. Just an overall good vibe to dine in. We really enjoyed this place. Since we travel on a bus often we are trapped in one neighborhood. Sometimes that's a bad thing. In the case of Wicker Park it was great. Devil Dawgs wasn't rated as high as some of the others we read about but since the top rated place was closed on Sundays Devil Dawgs got our dollars. It was excellent. The fries were hot and perfect, the sliders weren't under some lamp, they cooked them when we ordered them. The Devil sauce was great and the DAWGS...they were great! Maybe the top rated place is better...who knows. Maybe they should be open every day. Devil Dawgs was excellent and we loved our first Chicago dogs. read more

Food used to be really good but the last 2 times it was awful. Hot Dogs were shriveled up and tasted old. Fries were very greasy. I'm so happy this opened in the neighborhood! I can drop by whenever I want to eat naughty. I had the Chicago style dog, a bag of fries, and Southern slaw. Total was $6.87. My meal was delish and not greasy and I was able to top it off with their filtered water. The dining space is clean, colorful, spacious, and sunny. We like Devil Dawgs and realized we haven't been since the pandemic. I called in an order last night for pickup and was beyond disappointed. We arrived less than 10 minutes after placing the call. If we hadn't had better experiences in the past, this would be one star. Bucket of fries was half full and cold. Ordered a burger for the first time and we laughed when we opened it. It was a slider. Now I could have read the menu but I've never known any hot dog stand to serve sliders instead of burgers and I would have hoped over the phone that they would have said the same. The hot dogs were also cold. Overall a huge bummer. We'll stick with George's in Bucktown. read more

Love this Devil Dawgs location because there's space to sit inside which is nice- especially during winter. I always get the Chicago Dawg with a side of cheese fries. Onion rings were so crispy and delicious! They were on the greasy side though, but not overly oily as other's have been. I had a coney and cheese without mustard - was yummy but I do wish my chili was hot enough to melt the cheese. We had eaten sushi right before this, so I wasn't quite in the mood for a hot dog. Delicious every time. I usually get a couple of sliders which are just slightly smaller than a regular sized burger. They definitely don't skimp on toppings and they are all high quality.
