I'm midway eating this food leaving this review! This food is fire. Owner is extremely nice and gives great portions. Will definitely come back here if I am in the area. Not on a busy street so doing my duty here to make sure he gets the traffic he deserves. Got a combination plate of oxtail and jerk pork.

If you're staying at the Fairfield Inn at JFK Airport before a flight out of JFK, do yourself a favor and walk the block to Devine Bickles and get dinner. SO GOOD! Huge portions, friendly service, and the price is right! We got one order of jerk chicken with chicken gravy, peas and rice, and veg -- and a beef patty. More than eno0ugh to feed 2 people. Thank you, Yelpers, for leaving such good reviews so we could find this place!

Food was okay especially if you are craving it and have no other options. Owner was super friendly and we talked for quite a while.

One of if not my favorite Jamaican Restaurant. Food is always good, like mom use to cook.

When you walk in for the lunch or dinner rush, the sheer volume of options hits you immediately. The protein lineup alone is a masterclass in variety, covering every angle from deeply smoky jerk chicken, BBQ, and rich brown stew to curry goat, tender pork, and pristine fish like porgie and red snapper. It's supported by an endless array of staples--perfectly executed rice and peas, clean white rice, green bananas, and sweet, caramelized plantains. There is quite literally too much to list, but the execution remains remarkably high across the board. The staff keeps the line moving with a pleasant, welcoming energy, and while the legendary Jamaican breakfast menu remains uncharted territory for me, the dinner rotation alone makes this place an automatic favorite. Food (4/5): A massive victory for variety and flavor. To pull off this many traditional Caribbean proteins--from oxtail and curry to perfectly fried fish--and keep them all consistently tender and deeply seasoned at a buffet scale is a serious achievement. Decor (3.25/5): Unpretentious, functional, and clean. It's a space built for high-volume neighborhood traffic where the visual focus is kept exactly where it belongs: on the food. Customer Service: The staff is consistently warm, patient, and efficient, maintaining a welcoming neighborhood vibe even when the counter gets absolutely slammed. Price: Around $15 per person. For a heavy, high-quality, fill-your-plate to the brim ..... Caribbean feast in this day and age, the value here is completely unmatched.

It is in the parking lot of Walmart/Home Depot but closer to the BJ's side. The wait was a bit long to order the food. They have a great ordering system in that they have a megaphone to call out your receipt number. I had a bit of a wait to receive my food. I initially went for corn soup and I should have just stopped ordering right there. The corn soup was very tasty. I didn't care for the dumplings that they had in it though. I poured pepper in my soup and it was real nice. I should have gotten two soups. I got an aloo pie with channa, pepper, tamarind, mango, cucumber, and chadon beni. This could have used more flavor, which is surprising, especially with all of the toppings on it. I got bake and saltfish with tamarind and pepper. I truly did not like or enjoy this at all. I took one bite and knew I shouldn't eat anymore. I took another bite to be sure and after that bite decided to just take my L and throw it all out. The saltfish was rubbery, at room temperature, and it tasted off. The bake itself seemed like it would taste okay but it was soggy and soaking in liquid. I literally opened this shortly after getting it so i don't know how the bake could be so soggy. I would not recommend the bake and saltfish at all. The aloo pie is okay but it wasn't giving what it needed to give. However, the corn soup was delicious. Def go for the corn soup.

Time for an updated review because credit is definitely due…read more For nearly the past year, The Door has been in our family's Friday night dinner rotation. Every Friday, my four of us pick a different takeout spot, and without fail, someone always says, "Can we just get The Door?" We've had the curry goat, Rasta pasta, jerk chicken, fried chicken, oxtail, Esco chicken, soups, and the chicken patttttttties... mi God. Mi never taste a food wicked suh yet! Everything is consistently flavorful, fresh, and cooked with love. It's honestly become one of our go to spots because we know exactly what we're getting every single time. In my previous review, I mentioned a less than stellar experience. Looking back, maybe they were just having an off day or maybe I got the pot bottom. Whatever the reason, they've been nothing short of amazing ever since. Whether they changed chefs or tightened things up, whatever you're doing... DON'T CHANGE NADA! And I have to give an honorary shout out to Desrene, one of the wonderful team members who takes the takeout orders. She is ALWAYS pleasant, professional, and genuinely kind. It honestly brightens my day whenever I hear her voice on the other end of the phone. Consistency is everything in the restaurant business, and The Door has absolutely earned this updated 5-star review. Keep doing what you're doing!

It was already a few others in there, music was blasting, we were greeted as we walked in and given the option table or bar seating. The service was really good and friendly. Our waitress was Stacy and she was attentive and fast. Dena Kay also assisted and she was just a sweetheart. We indulged in the happy hour menu which has a good deal of options and the price is really good. The drinks and food are all $8.95 with the exception of 2 food items which are $9.95, still a good price. We had the passion fruit martini and margarita- both were good and not watered down. For food we had the yummy sticky wings, champagne mussels, fried chicken dumplings, and crab dip nachos. The champagne mussels were amazing! That sauce is to die for. The wings were good. The crab dip was tasty but I think it's a little too watery. The chicken dumplings were okay, nothing special. Only recommendation to management /DJs is to turn the music down just a tad. The vibe and music is always great, but we still wanna be able to hear our conversations without yelling or struggling

My boyfriend suggested we come here after a long day at work to relax, eat, and watch the basketball game. To be fair, the music was good and we were greeted and seated immediately, so initially everything seemed fine. Unfortunately, things went downhill very quickly. I ordered a Caesar salad with salmon, and there was a ROACH in the food. Not near the plate. But crawling FROM my the salad. Completely unacceptable and honestly disturbing. The waitress apologized and offered to remake it free of charge. At that point I should have left, but I tried to give the place the benefit of the doubt and stayed. Then the bill came and they STILL charged me for the salad with the roach in it. That alone told me everything I needed to know about the level of professionalism and sanitation standards here. Between the unsanitary food preparation, unproportioned BBLS, and the overall atmosphere, I would never trust this establishment again. First and absolutely last time coming here
