Love this little hidden gem near the Manhattan Bridge photo spot in DUMBO. We stopped by on a Saturday after walking around the waterfront and taking the obligatory bridge photos, and it turned out to be such a nice place to cool down. We got the matcha soft serve and an iced matcha latte. The soft serve was super smooth and I really appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet -- it had that subtle bitterness that makes it taste like real matcha instead of just sugary green ice cream. The iced matcha latte was also very refreshing. They have a self-order kiosk, which is nice if you don't feel like waiting or chatting. The space is also connected to a fashion/lifestyle store, which made it feel a little different from a typical coffee shop. A cool stop for a treat and a quick rest in DUMBO. read more

I was in the area and wanted an afternoon pick me up that wasn't coffee. I was on the prowl for a matcha, but the other spot in the area that I was eyeing was closed (randomly, with no explanation). So I stopped in Devine'r. I ordered an iced matcha in water instead of milk and it was great. Perfect matcha flavor, not watered down at all. Matcha ice cream was delicious and tastes like true matcha. Elephant cake mousse, however, was not yummy. Very minuscule amount of cake inside and mousse did not taste good. I wish it had more cake. Unfortunately, this specific dessert item decreased my opinion of this place. Other than the food, the staff was nice but I was a bit confused since they did not seem to know much about their products. For example, I asked which ice cream flavor they recommend, the staff said they're not sure because they haven't tried it. This cafe had me feeling like I was in Japan again. The matcha quality is high like in Kyoto and the prices aren't bad at all. I ordered the level 3 and level 4 matcha intensity scoops of ice cream, and OMG!!! I wish we had this cafe in OC. It's one thing I'll miss in NY for sure. Love the aesthetic of this cafe and the photo op right outside. I wanted to visit again before we left but unfortunately didn't have the time to. Definitely visit here if you're in Dumbo. read more

I arrived at the location and initially found the atmosphere to be very pleasant. However, my experience quickly changed after placing my order. The employee at the front, a young gentleman, was extremely rude to customers. While waiting for my drink, I went to use the restroom and found it in very poor condition. When I came out, there were customers waiting to use it, and the same employee told them they would not be allowed to use the restroom if the current person did not come out within two minutes. This felt very unprofessional, especially since they were paying customers.He then began arguing with a customer, stating that he needed to close the establishment, and continued to make inappropriate side comments. Overall, the behavior and lack of cleanliness made for a very disappointing experience so I will not be returning. read more
