It looked delicious but tragically the hummus was so spicy and basically inedible, and this is coming from people who normally enjoy spicy foods. Came in because we were intrigued by the veggie cakes and WOW they were so freaking good! They were packed with old bay flavor and served with a lemon aioli. I love crab cakes and honestly didn't even miss the crab in these they were so good! Excellent spot for some drinks and shared plates! I had the Pimm's Cup (delicious), a French 75 (more delicious) and a delicious glass of Malbec (yes, all of the alcohols). The five of us needed a snack so we had the shishitos, fried green tomatoes and falafel. All excellent! The fried chicken and fries at the table next to us smelled incredible. This is a new kid in a pretty saturated 17th Ave corridor, but wow are they great! Me and the hubs had a quick happy hour cocktail (Svedka and soda for him, a "I'm on a Paito" signature for me) and tried the fried green tomatoes. I requested my signature cocktail come with less syrup, and the staff was happy to oblige/ and while we're on the subject, Dew Drop's staff is stellar: attentive but not hovering, kind but not sugary sweet in a cheap way. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. The only reason I can't give them five stars is the fried green tomatoes: crispy on the outer, juicy on the inside, but INCREDIBLY BLAND. If they continue to prepare them as they do, I'd suggest adding a salt shaker to your patio tablescapes. read more

This is a comfortable and friendly place with very good food. We had a "picnic plate" (charcuterie board) and a cubano with fries. We got to the restaurant and we're greeted by a waitress and told her that was out first time and wants to get some idea of their signature dishes. She recommended the mussels. We also ordered two happy hour drinks and the food after a long wait since the waitress was just talking to the right next to us. As we finished the drinks I asked her for another round and took her another 15 minutes to bring that. We got the falafel bites. I've never had anything that tasted so bland, we're almost like rubber , dry and cold. My wife had the chicken and did not even got silverware. Ultimately the food is not even eatable. We were CHARGED for even the food we left on the table and the drinks we didn't drink as we walked out and also the string fries we ordered that never got to our table. I have never walked out of a restaurant before in my life but this was so bad we had to leave. The waitress had the worst attitude, was rude, inconsiderate, so unprofessional WE WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS SHIT HOLE. We will make sure to tell everyone we can about our experience. I stopped in for the first time today and it exceeded all my expectations! It was hot so I didn't want to cook so I stopped in(after hearing many great things about this place). The ambiance of the bar was very welcoming but the best part of the experience was the people who worked there. The bartender & another woman (whom I later met as the owner) welcomed me into the space. The bartender helped me choose my meal (the fried chicken & shoestring fries) .
