I'm a regular with Jess. She does my color and cuts. She's the reason I often get compliments on my hair. She's listens to me and delivers exactly the hairstyle and color I'm after. She gives suggestions and tips to make home haircare and styling healthier and simpler for me. I've gotten a cut from Kayla once before. She rocked too! For wedding hair and make-up, Rita set me up with Mary. Without a practice style and only a couple pics, Mary delivered exactly the wedding day look I was going for. I Love going to DeWeese. I've been to other salons and DeWeese gives me the best service for the price. I went there to get my hair colored back to it's brown color with blondish highlights because my daughter had been begging me to let her color my hair pink. I finally gave in. After a while it turned a kind of orange color. I saw Felicia Jines. She was GREAT! She turned it back brown with blond highlights. She was very professional as was the owner Rita and everyone else. The salon was very clean and they offer you drinks plus other things to make sure you're comfortable. The price is very reasonable and Felicia is really great at telling you each step she's taking to your hair. I go back to see her every 3 to 4 months and I LOVE my hair. I'm surprised at the other reviews because my daughter and I both go there and neighter one of us have had a bad experience. Maybe I'm just not as picky as the others on here. But I will continue to keep going back to DeWeese & Felicia. read more

A few months ago, moved to Indianapolis from Arizona. Needed a standard hair coloring, liked the reviews of DeWeese, so made an appointment. What a disappointment. This is a nice salon. The receptionists are very friendly and treat customers well. The stylists, like any other hair salon, are hit or miss. My first visit resulted in a sub-par hair cut and me questioning if I should give them another chance. I ended up going back and seeing a different stylist. The second girl was fabulous and she gave a great cut. Unfortunately, she is leaving the salon so I am iffy on whether or not to give a third person here a shot. The positives are that they do employ very nice people, it's a nice business, and the price is good for a cut and shampoo. The negatives are that it may take you a couple cuts before you find someone who is very good. Overall, I'd still say that you should give them a try and hope that you get a good stylist. read more

Went for first time a few weeks ago, the stylist made me feel as if I was bothering her. I was going from long hair to short hair, so the manager told her to take "before & after" pictures, which she did, without even asking me. Not that it would been a problem but common courtesy would say she SHOULD have asked. She never spoke to me, not until she said..."you are done". It was a decent cut, not great. I have to say the receptionist is a sweetheart and the ONLY reason I will go back, but with a different stylist. read more

I thought I enjoyed DeWeese, and was liking my hair, until during an arguement with my domestic partner, I was informed that I made quite the Impresson up there! Something about me playing on my cell phone, I really am uncertain. I think it is very unprofessional for a salon to say things about a client to their X GF, another client. I got a balayage and a textured lob. Although we weren't able to achieve the blonde i wanted because my hair just wouldn't lighten enough, my stylist (Dawn) gave me an amazing cut and was so sweet and made me feel comfortable and i even ended up liking the finished color a lot more than i expected! She brought me some coffee and the price was fairly reasonable. Such a welcoming environment and although it can get pricy, it's worth it if you want quality service and hair! read more

Went in for a Devacut and Style with Felicia - highly recommend! She somehow managed to tame my frizzy hair into beautiful curls and also explained the products she was using along the way and how to properly apply them. I am definitely going back the next time I need a haircut. read more

I went into this salon for a perm on 1/30/16. When she finished my perm, she cut my hair so I wasn't super worried about some of the parts where it looked like the perm didn't take. After 2 1/2 days when I washed my hair, I knew there was no way this perm took. I called them the next morning and let them know. I went in the next Saturday (2/6/16) and they did a test curl. The test curl didn't hold very well either and the stylist didn't know why it wasn't holding. When she told Rita (the owner) Rita said "and it's not colored hair?"... my stylist said "Oh yea, it is". That was the FIRST thing I told my stylist before she touched my hair the first time. I have colored my hair every 2-3 months since I was 12 and I stopped a year ago because I wanted a perm. Their solution was to get a hair cut every 6 weeks for 12 weeks and then to try and perm again. I have no problem paying for the next 2 hair trims, but I hope my next perm is free, as now I have to deal with frizzy hair that has curl in some spots and some strands that are stick straight (even though my natural hair has wave). I wouldn't mind paying for another perm or not getting my $120 back if I had not told her everything my hair had been through, but I was totally honest with my hair's background, so I'm not totally happy at the moment. I am more than willing to update my review in the future but right now I'm not a happy client. read more

I got a Devacut at Deweese Salon this week. It was my first time and it was a great experience. I met with Kayla a week before for a consultation, and explained to her what it was that I wanted she made me feel very comfortable. She explained what she was gonna do before she started cutting and took her time to cut each single individual curl (and I have very small corkscrew curls). I gradually got to see my hair take shape. She took her time finger detangling my hair and asked me what kind of products I used in my hair and how I styled my hair. The devacurl products did give me good definition and fluffy curls which I liked but it felt kind of like there was a "sticky film" only way I can explain it. However, it might have just been the combination of products used. They smelled really good! Kayla did exactly what I asked, I've never felt so comfortable getting my hair done. I didn't leave the salon with my hair styled exactly how I like but I went home and stretched my curls and fluffed them a bit more and it was great! I love the cut, Kayla was great I will definitely go back for another trim. read more
