    Smoked Tuna dip

Love this place! Must eat here when in the area, the original restaurant is the best! Counter service to order, with wait staff to deliver to table. Love sitting out on the dock outside at the original restaurant, has a great sunset. The fish dip is good as a starter. We had the fish and shrimp baskets. Their fried fish is so good, light crunchy coating and so fresh tasting. The shrimp are large and lightly battered, and not greasy. Both baskets are plentiful and come with fries and coleslaw. Will definitely return when in the area!

The views 10/10! Our food was pretty good. I ordered the fried sheepshead fish basket. It was perfectly cooked, but lacked flavor. I love cocktail sauce, so that added made it pretty tasty. My husband ordered grilled fish and it had a teriyaki tasting sauce on it. That was just ok. We would have preferred fresh lemon juice and maybe lemon pepper instead. The hush puppies were really good. This place got crowded and it was hard to find parking. Good for the restaurant though with all the business. You will have to wait in a line to order, but they are quick and efficient getting out meals. Would definitely come back and try something else next time. Also stop by and get icecream next door too!

I loved this place! The seafood was fresh. The Services counter service and then you go and pick a table either inside or outside that you want. It is really informal and a great place to have lunch. It is literally right on the beach! I could make a sand angel after I had my fried shrimp if I wanted to lol. You can also go right in the water and play. Or you can rent a jet ski. So many options!

Came here for some drinks while we waited for some friends to get done jet skiing. Staff was so nice and helpful. If you're looking for some fresh seafood this place can give you that. I will have to come back and try the food but those around us raved about their food. I love that you can see the boats and people jet skiing while you dine.

Food was decent. I liked the hole in the wall type vibe though so 4 stars it is. Would go just to watch the view onto crab island and crack a cold one.

We chose to stop in as we saw that it is considered a local favorite and the because of the location on the dock with the ocean view. They have plenty of seating inside and more outside, all tables have an umbrella for shade while enjoying the view. The prices are a bit steep, as is expected from a tourist spot. We opted for their popular gulf shrimp and fries option but weren't too impressed by them. They were cooked/fried perfectly but they were definitely missing seasoning, they tasted very bland. Not a very memorable option but we did enjoy the location and there was a nice breeze out.

Destin, FL 32541 / SEAFOOD / 07-21-25 / DINNER / 2 Adults, 2 Kids +The gumbo was amazing, lots of fresh seafood. -This seafood shack drenches the grilled fish with a sauce. -The grilled shrimp basket was a bit overcooked and dry. -Kids hot dog was super salty. Benn coming here for about 10 years and it has been our favorite "go to" .... best view of Crab Island and the Bay while eatin' on the dock - until now. Alas, times change as do so many things. Straightforward - beautiful view. Service here is still 5 star, friendly and courteous; food came out quickly and hot. Food/Taste: Here's where things have begun to slip. I normally go for grilled, but decided to try fried Triple Tail. Yes, fish was flaky and tender....but not "slightly sweet" as described by waitstaff. And it was a bit "off" (one piece in particular was pretty darn "fishy".) Bottom line however was that the seasoning was nowhere to be found. Yes...lightly coated and decently fried.... but zilch for enhanced taste. Maybe I should'a stuck to my regular order of Grouper or Trigger fish. (My bad.) Fries were spot on hot and crispy. Wife's fried shrimp were a bit rubbery. How'd that happen? And, the fountain drinks, while cold, had a "Fort Walton-type" funky flavor. Not my cup of tea so to speak. Fallin stars in my Yelp sky.

We gave this place a try after seeing so many great recommendations on Reddit. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The shrimp were extremely difficult to peel, and the red potatoes were undercooked. While the rest of the food at the table was decent, the shrimp were probably the worst I've had. I really wanted to like this place, but it just didn't live up to the hype for me.

Only good thing is the view.

Terrible. Had the grilled mahi-mahi fish for my very first time and I must say it was very bland. The potato was bland , the corn was bland with no seasoning. I feel bad for spending as much as I did at this establishment. No flavor or seasoning at all

We came here and the wonton appetizer was amazing. We had a burger, a patty melt, and I got the buffalo chicken sandwich. Our waitress was attentive, and checked on us in a reasonable amount of time. She was good with meeting our needs and bringing back items requested. The atmosphere is welcoming, the music they play is amazing and inclusive to all and the people were are all welcoming. First off, food came out piping hot, and they have these unique fries and they were amazing. This spot definitely exceeded my expectations and I will gladly return on our next visit to Destin.

The space has a cool indoor/outdoor setup, and the night we went they had live music, which made the whole place feel really lively. We sat inside but could still enjoy the music while catching some basketball games. The menu leans Mediterranean and everything looked incredible. We started with the tzatziki, shrimp wonton rolls, and potstickers. All three were great, but the shrimp wonton rolls were my favorite. For my main, I ordered the grilled shrimp pita (loaded with shrimp) with fries--definitely hit the spot. Around the table we also had burgers, a Mediterranean bowl, and pork belly tacos, and everyone loved their meals. We were so full we didn't even make it to dessert. Overall, great vibe, great food, and a fun atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out--just plan on taking an Uber or Lyft since parking is limited.

I got the Daily Special (which was a Red Snapper stuffed with crab) and was great. I also tried the Destin Snapper, the Crab Cakes, and some of the Seafood Gumbo. All of which were very good. The Daily Special was my favorite. We had a larger group and did not have to wait at 7:00. The setting was great. Outdoor seating is along a bay, a great spot to view the sun setting. It does get hot out there if you go too early, we were there in July. Parking is extremely limited and they do have valet ($9 as of 7/2026). The line for the valet was very long. We got lucky to find a parking spot, but plan on waiting for parking in one way or another.

The restaurant is very large with indoor and outdoor dining areas, and it is casual, but classy. Overall, we had a great experience. The host was fine; however, lacked empathy and customer service skills. He was a full 30 seconds ahead of us, and if we wouldn't have been tracking him with our eyes, we wouldn't have known where to sit. By the time we got to the table, he was nowhere to be found; however, the menus were in a pile on the table. Our server, on the other hand, was very pleasant. He was kind, caring and kept us informed and checked in on us frequently. The table shared the crab cakes and the blue crab claws, both of which were very good. Of course, the complimentary hush puppies are definitely a hit as well. For my entree I had the Grouper Louisianne. It was a tasty piece of fish, that came with a great side salad and a super delicious twice baked potato. Other than the host, the other reason for the minus one star, was the unusually long time it took between the salad course and the main course. It was a full 20 minute wait, after we were done with our salads, for the main course to arrive. Otherwise, I would likely try the restaurant again at a future time, if something brought me back to the area.

It looked like a nice, relaxing, elevated restaurant we could relax at after a day of excursions. It really wasn't that. After spending most of our days eating at the themed surf restaurants that decorate with shark heads, surfboards and tiki lights. We had hoped this would be a change, it's really not. It may not be grossly decorated with those tiki-style items, but most certainly is that same type of restaurant. It's not elegant, it's not elevated and its most certainly, not relaxing. The food was very good, the service from our waitress, Savannah was mediocre. She seemed bored or maybe having a bad night and was doing her best to cover it with a smile. We ate up at the skybar which does have a very lovely view. The high-top table and chairs are uncomfortable. My wife and I had to come off the chairs to stand next to the table for a few moments because the chairs were so uncomfortable. As far as their food goes, I had the shrimp tacos. They were made with very fresh tasting ingredients and the shrimp wasdelicious. At least the 2 pieces per taco they came with. Most of what was in the taco was just the filling. $22.00 for two tacos I expected more shrimp. My wife's Grouper Moreno and the conch fritter appetizer were both delicious. Dessert was the salted caramel cheesecake which was good, but ridiculously sweet (as you'd expect it to be) Overall, the food was very good though the tacos could have included more shrimp then they did. The service was just okay. The restaurant itself is nice, but not the quiet relaxing place it looks like on their website. It's just another surf themed style restaurant, without all the gaudy decorations.
