He is friendly and efficient. I absolutely love working with him. I appreciate that he explains everything and is assuring when it comes to any doubts as sometimes it does take a few visits to resolve an issue. But he is wonderful! Scheduling for some of their termite inspections is at times the only downfall with some of the inspections being a 3 weeks out. Having to tent your house and move out for fumigation is no fun. But Dewey Pest Control Made it as easy and seamless as possible. Jose, our inspector was thorough, accurate, and good humored. Marlon, the chief of the crew that did the fumigation was very clear, easy to talk to and considerate. We had forgotten to pack up some produce that was in the refrigerator, and they very thoughtfully, took it out of the refrigerator and left it for us in a bag at the front of our house. They arrived on time and we were able to re-occupy our home at the estimated time. If you want a competent and reliable company this is not it. Called and explained that had rats in the house and needed someone asap to set traps and get rid of them. While they sent someone the next day, the person who arrived was just an inspector who's job was to assess the problem and recommend a plan. When I explained that I we needed traps right there and then and that I couldn't sleep one more night with my kids and dog terrified of the footlong rats we'd seen running up and down our house, I was told that's not how they do things. While Rob was empathetic and tried to help by leaving me with 2 useless nonworking traps that he had in his truck, he assured me that I could call anytime for additional help and removal should we catch any rats. Well, Rob answered my first text and then never heard from him again after several voicemails and texts. They are supposed to come every week to check traps and remove any dead rats and have yet to show up as scheduled leaving me to dispose of over 6 rats while constantly having to call the office to get someone to show up to do the service we pay for. The only reason I am giving even 2 starts is because of Manuel, the kind and responsive technician who comes for the removal, who is just as frustrated with why I am having to call him instead of being automatically scheduled to come weekly as service contract sates. read more

This pest control company is garbage. I have had multiple appointments (orchestrated through my building), cancelled last minute. I have also experienced them simply not showing up. Today, someone came, yet could not perform the extermination. Thus, they rescheduled. This, after I moved all furniture off the walls (in order to accommodate them). The two stars (over one), is due to decent service before 2021. Perhaps this is due to a change in Dewey's company; perhaps due to a change in their relationship with my building (Riva). Either way, having multiple pests with no extermination response is unfortunate. Please do not schedule appointments if you cannot execute them! read more

I can't say enough about this company. My tech is Omar and he is consistently on top of everything. I have a very large property in Santa Monica so I have every kind of creature you can imagine (squirrels, opossums, fleas, mud wasps, bees, water bugs, spiders, roaches, silverfish,etc). Highly unprofessional and they charged for services not rendered. I hired Dewey Pest Control for a property in Brentwood, signed a contract for services which they failed to provide. It took way too many attempts to reach anyone in the company and I hardly every received a call back. Never knew what date the technician was visiting the property to perform services and to give access yet Dewey kept thinking it was ok to keep charging. I must've made at least a dozen calls and left a half dozen messages to cancel the account yet they did not care. It took a simple message to the technician when I caught him on site one day that he was not allowed on the premises and to have the office call me. I eventually stopped paying in order to receive a call from their office. While on the phone the rep only cared for receiving money owed for services they did not provide according to our contract. I offered to continue doing business together according to the terms of the agreement, the technician said " I will close your account" and he hung up the phone. I recently received a collections notice for this account and will be taking legal action since they don't care to correct their own mistake. They don't care for customer service, money is the only this they care about. I'm sure they'll ignore this review just like they neglected to provide me with services based on out contract. read more

Want a bug detective? Over the years, these people have come through time & time again for unknown insects. Reliable, dependable, trustworthy. Sound advice for free & it has worked every time, like a charm. Please, have the courtesy to ask what is a good time to drop by. After all, it is a free favor. Here's what they told me: take a piece of scotch tape, tape the bug to a white index card. Don't press down on the bug, just the edges of the scotch tape. Bring in the bug taped on the index card, & voila, they are happy to examine it under their microscope. The funny thing is they get excited about bugs!
