Today was the final straw with Dewey Pest Control. The technicians have all been great BUT the billing department.... is another story. This month was the second time in about a year that I have been issued a statement with a past due balance. I pay my bill directly to the technician most every time, so I knew that there wasn't a past due balance. So I called in again and asked for verification of payment and I got the exact same story .... oh, sorry, we did get a payment through the technician, but it was credited to the wrong account. I have edited this review because the manager quickly phoned me to explain the problem on their end and attempted to make amends for the errors. read more

My husband signed up with this company a few months ago. At the time, our house was on the market for sale. The sales rep indicated that it was not a problem to cancel when our house sold, they would just close out our contract. Well, I called yesterday to cancel because our house sold and they told me I had to put my request in writing. So, I went to their website and submitted an online contact form, providing a written request to cancel. I got a call today telling me I had to pay $120 for early termination of the agreement! I asked to speak with the manager and was told the person I was speaking with was the manager. This is not the only problem I have had with them and I did request to cancel in October, but they didn't cancel my service then either - they just said they would cancel and then they sent someone out to perform the next service this month - pretending like I never asked for them to stop coming. The sales rep misrepresented the service and the requirements of the contract by promising services that were not included in the contract and not informing us of the early cancellation fee. The technician that came the first time bad-mouthed the company, bad-mouthed the sales rep and refused to perform promised services because they were not included in the contract. He even said the sales rep is an "idiot" and that he only had his job because a family member is in management. Now, I understand you can't always control what your employees say, but other technicians that have come to service our house have said they hear tons of complaints about that guy. Why would they keep sending him out to work? It's too bad this company doesn't value customer service. I am going to rent for the next 2 months while I wait for my new house to be ready for me to move into it and once I move in I will need pest service - I promise you it will not be Dewey Pest & Termite Control. Also, when we signed up for service we also signed up my mother's house. When her contract is finished we will not renew. The customer service issue is inexcusable. I wrote a review 2 years ago and it was all positive. And I had the same experience again ever since. Dewey is a professional pest control co. with employees that ensure the customer's come first. All my contacts, communications and service provided by Dewey is perfect. They are interested in service and providing help first and foremost. Dewey has the knowledge and experience to use their products in a safe and proper manner. I have had annual termite inspections with Earnie followed by treatment with Santiago, if necessary. Earnie has the knowledge and experience to find areas with a termite problem and Santiago does an excellent job with treatment. Both employees put their best effort in and represent Dewey in the best light. My recommendation is to contact Dewey as the are the best to work with, fair and have the necessary knowledge to do things right. read more

We've used Dewey for years....just seasonal maintenance BUT when we needed them..WOW. Our tech, Augustin Cordova, is excellent, knowledgeable and a gentleman. He spotted and addressed termites latest year and this year he investigated our complaints and eradicated rats from the attic, sealing off all entry ways! Augustin is exceptional and was ably assisted on the last call by Danny. Both are professional, clean, competent and very nice! We will continue using Dewey because of people like Augustin! read more

I fancy myself a man who can take care of all the needs of his house. For fourteen years I bought pest control sprays from Home Depot and applied it myself every three months.Then came the invasion of the crickets. I could not get them. I tried and tried. I killed dozens by stepping on them. It made no difference. A friend told me about Walter with Dewey. I called. One trip and five days later we never say another cricket. Now I use Walter with Dewey every three months and we have no problems. He is a very nice person and knows just where the critters hide, mate and multiply. I could not live here without Dewey's service and Walter's care. read more

Not good. Inconsistent service had this problem more than once they threatened collection after not fulfilling a contract even after a call and written cancellation. They are not well organized so I'd utilize another service their collection department is rude and unprofessional. I am still waiting for my zero balance bill read more

I set up treatment of ants with Dewey My tenant ask that they set up appointment time to come by and spray after several time unannounced showing up my tenant was so pissed off he wanted out of his lease. I lost 10 mo rent from Dewey's stupidity. I called and cancelled service immediately They continue to now hassle me for not paying of service after I call to cancel last year and gave me 5 days before going to collections.Terrible customer service that don't listen to what customer requests are. be cautious! read more

I have been using Dewey Pest Control (DPC) for approx 10 years. I live in the desert where huge cockroaches and crickets are a problem. The products used by DPC have eliminated the problem. The best thing about DPC is my technician Joe (route 6, branch 2). He is very knowledgeable and friendly. I was about to cancel DPC because of the previous tech I had but then they gave me Joe and I've been very happy with him and have keep the service. He usually calls before coming and always leaves a note on the door when he is done. The reason for my 4 star instead of 5 star review is because DPC has steadily gone up on the rates. I started paying $32/mo in Feb 2006 and now I'm paying $39/mo in 2016. That's just short of a dollar increase per year. Quite a lot. Joe only sprays the outside of my house (that's all that's needed to keep the bugs out). The inside sq ft is 1536. read more

Buyer beware! If I could give them less than one star I would. I hired this company in 2015 to maintain my personal property and to perform a rat extraction on another property I manage. The initial job was never completed in that they left holes open in the roof for the rodents to continue to enter. The initial maintenance guy left the company and they never completed the first job. With tenants still complaining that they could hear things in the attic I called them again. They didn't warranty the first job and wanted to charge me an additional fee to clean up the mess their company made. I asked for a supervisor to come out the the property three times, to date 2018, a supervisor has never walked the property. After multiple attempts to have the issue eradicated I finally gave up, I told them I was not going to pay the second fee because the job was never done correctly and I had to hire bug guys, who finally took care of the issue, to come out and finish their job. They sent me to collections even though I was still using them for my personal property and my account was paid in full. After multiple calls and me having to take time off work they still have not made right on this issue. Why they wouldn't take care of a customer who has used them for multiple properties is beyond me. I just pulled my account completely today and will never use them again. read more

We have been a very happy customer since 2009. David, the technician, is the best. Professional, thorough, knows his stuff (truly expert). Ask him a question, ask him for general advice - he's got the answer. If he needs to come by again, he does it - (suggests it!). Office staff is the same, just takes care of business. We have a monthly service contract and there have been ZERO issues the entire time. Dewey Pest Control has been keeping our home "bug free" for 12 years. Our technician, Walter, is always punctual, friendly and knowledgeable. He shows up each month looking professional in a clean uniform and when he enters our home he puts "booties" on over his shoes to protect our floors from the outside elements. WARNING - This company has the worse customer service I have every encountered and I think their actions regarding my acct are borderline criminal! I have been with them for 14+ years and cannot believe how badly they treat their customers. My monthly charge was $39. In error an online bill pay payment went to them for $3,900. My bank contacted them in order to obtain a refund for me. They promised to issue a refund within a week. Well, it's now over two weeks and they have NOT refunded anything. When I call them they say they will contact "Corporate" and call back, They never do! I called the Corporate office directly and they said the refund was processed last week and they would call the "local" office and call back they didn't. I'm now out $3,900 and since I am on a fixed income due to retirement I had to take an equity loan to prevent my other checks from bouncing. They are causing a hardship to me and they don't give a crap. If you use this company you'd better be meticulous in your bill paying and record keeping because if you make a mistake you are out of luck. read more
