I looked outside and remember always seeing the mice outside, I thought it was okay, Until they got in through crack in the garage door. omg these little things within 30 days. it went from one mice to so many, I was going crazy. 1 no call no show and one time shows up 3 and a half hours late. I started using the company 4 months ago for residential and mosquito control that requires a monthly visit. They sent me the notifications of date and 2 hour time window they would arrive. They never showed, they never called. Dates were 7/21 and7/29. If you like your time wasted then this is the company for you. A customer should never have to hunt down the technician and see if they are ever going to show up. read more

My first time dealing with BEDBUGS! I've done my research and realize that these tiny bugs are tough to get rid of. I hired Terminex to spray chemicals and they're doing their job to lessen the bites that I'm still getting. So, I've asked Terminex for a quote for tenting my house and they're around 3k. I'm trying to get the best price and called Orkin. From the start, they ask for $116 to have an exterminator to stop by to see my house. Bedbugs are tough to find, but my daily bite marks are telling me they are still here. The salesman visiting me confirmed by the bite patterns that they are bedbugs. Orkin had me noted that they've chatted with me before and their salesman, Jesse said tenting isn't used for bedbugs which is incorrect when compared to online research. I understand spraying is the first common use to remove these bugs, but they spread quickly. I'd rather have these bugs gone by now, but hopefully a heat treatment will correct my problem instead of costing me a lot of wasted cash. read more

I use Orkin at four of my properties including my home with regular monthly service and I am really happy with them for a few reasons. 1. The treatment works. 2. It's a non-toxic treatment that uses mint oil and none of my guests have complained about the smell. 3. The techs give excellent notice days ahead of when when they are coming and another notice on the day they come with a two hour window. 4. They follow up with another notice letting you know when the job is complete. 5. All the service people are polite and responsive. I used this service once. I have bedbugs. I'm still getting bits while sleeping. They informed us it would take several treatments. They also instructed us on maintenance and a routine that works. Horrible company, states you will get full refund if not satisfied well they're crooks, I had mice issues and they showed up before I payed $300 upfront and used $.99 cent glue traps and use bait that attracts other vermin and when you call them about other vermin they charge xtra because you hire them only for mice . I hate this company. Call them I told them I am not satisfied and they just said "well then thank you" and that what's it. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY. I end up take care of the mess they made. Already report them to BBB and my local Consumer Protection Act Officer and they under investigation. read more

I've never received poorer service from anyone than I received from Orkin. They either no showed for my appointment or rescheduled my appointment without notification. When they did actually show up , after multiple reschedules or no shows, The service guy could not see what it was I was trying to show him and stated that he had poor eyesight. You're looking for pests, how can you have poor eyesight? When he finally was able to see what I was experiencing, he stated that he could not identify what it was and he would speak to a supervisor who would return the following day to identify what this test was. Supervisor never showed up, never called, nothing. Three or four days later I call again to Orkin to complain and they send out another service person to be scheduled on Friday, did not show, did not call, appointment was rescheduled for Saturday without any notification. When that service provider did finally show, this was December 16th, he casually walked around my home, I explained to him what it was I was experiencing and dealing with on a daily basis, He stated he understood what my situation was and agreed to treat my home for this pest(s). I was curious as to why he didn't do any inspection or have any equipment to inspect with but I was relieved that he was going to take care of his problem. So my partner, four dogs and I had to vacate the house for half an hour while he sprayed and let this chemical do what it needs to do. I was thrilled that he took care of it so quickly I paid my $144 or whatever it was for the initial treatment and agreed to have them service every month or every other month. Then I received the service report. In the report he stated that he inspected the house completely, not true, he assessed what the situation was and determined that he would treat for fleas, ants and roaches. He went on to state that he addressed the customers request for service and treatment and considered this visit completed. All not true. Not once did I request any service for fleas ants or roaches, I don't have any of that, never have had any of that, never complained of that. I complained of pests, flying pests and what appear to be mites. He did not treat for that whatsoever. I called the store immediately and complained , of course they were closed . So I sent an email describing exactly what I've described here. No response. I called again on Monday , multiple times to try and speak to someone. Finally the manager or assistant manager gets on the line and we have this conversation. He apologized that I was unhappy with the treatment and that he personally or the manager would come to my home within a day or two to view for themselves what the situation was and to address it. To date they have not shown up nor have they called. They claim "they're not satisfied till I'm happy", well I'm not happy, yet they seem to be satisfied with the service they provided. So I call again December 26th, manager not available, but he or the assistant manager will return my call today before the end of the day. I've been hearing that story for the last 4 weeks. So thanks to Orkin, I continue to deal with these pests. Thanks for taking my money. read more

I absolutely would recommend Orkin to my friends, family and honestly anyone with pest control needs. I have used other pest control companies in the past and Orkin is the only one that has actually done their job. If you live in Southern California, you know how crazy the bugs can get every time the weather changes. Especially in summer! Terrible service. I sent an email late one evening requesting service. It wasn't an emergency so was no need to call despite them stating they are open 24/7. By 10:30 the next morning I had yet to hear from anyone so called. You get their National call center. Lady was nice enough. Set me up for that afternoon between 2-4pm with a 30 min call prior. I took off work to be home (mind you we are super busy so taking off is not easy) only to have nobody call nor anyone show up. I called the National number again (as that's the only option despite you feeling like it's a local number) and was then transferred without knowing to the local folks who told me it wasn't scheduled properly. They were rude and frankly didn't care what had happened. Didn't offer to send someone out yet today despite them advertising for 24/7 service. I was beyond frustrated so called back to the National number to complain. I actually got a fantastic lady there who convinced me to give them another shot. Talked to me about the issue I was having for 45 min. Recommended a particular service but said the pest control guys are really the experts so they will more thoroughly discuss and take care of me and set up an appointment for Sat. I was hopeful however Sat was a joke. Kid that came out had zero knowledge of my situation, thought he was coming to simply do pest control. Talked to him vaguely about some of my issues/concerns. He was like a deer in headlights. Had no clue. Looked at a couple things and you could tell he had no clue what he was doing. Said he was going to go to his truck. 20 min later came in and said talked to his manager and he was going to do the basic service and charge me over $200 to do so. I asked about the service the National rep had discussed and it was like he couldn't even explain what it was, the difference, etc. guy was clueless. Needless to say, I sent him away so am still without my issue being addressed with significant time wasted and a nearly a week later.
