My family and I eat at this location quite often without any issues. On our last visit they burned our first two pizzas and it took quite a while to get our dinner. I understand that problems happen everywhere and I'm a firm believer that it's how you handle them that makes a huge difference. I'd like to personally compliment Zach on a great service recovery as it was suited for the issues we had, he was extremely personable and very professional. Great variety of options and specialty pizzas. Buffalo chicken pizza was our favorite. Taco pizza was great as well but could have used a bit more taco sauce flavor. Overall, would definitely go back again and order both. read more

After many visits I think I've had just about every item type on the menu and I've not once been disappointed. The food is consistently terrific. They take a team approach to service meaning you always have an available person if you need something. I wish more restaurants would use this approach. Highly recommend. read more

Isn't the cheese supposed to cover the whole pie? This did not even come close. Ultra thin crust with a scant amounts of sauce, cheese and toppings. All of which I suspect taste like the box it came in. read more

What a disappointment! Went here with a co worker for lunch. The chicken on my pizza tasted like it has been killed twice. It was dry and flavorless. The other ingredients on my pizza must have been playing hide and seek. I could have saved the 15 dollars for a 11 inch pizza and got something worth talking about. read more

We really enjoyed Dewey's. A bit expensive for take-out, but for a nice dine in pizza, it was a good experience. We avoided the busy times, and got there around 4PM on a Sat., no wait. But it was not deserted either, a good sign to me. Service was good. Salads were very good. Red sauce is great, savory and just a bit spicy. White sauce was a bit too garlicky for both me and the hubs. The crust was delicious, light, with just enough toughness to stand up to the extra cheese I ordered. Nice bright atmosphere, just fancy enough to make it seem special, but not so much as too make you not want to bring your kids. read more

The food was really good and the house salad was amazing! However our sever had no personality and was so quiet we could barely hear her. She didn't great us or really talk to us at all. All she did was take our order and leave. Also, the hostess who took us to our table was very rude and it was kind of unprofessional of her to be on her phone while working. This was my first time at this location. Super nice staff! Came in on a moderately busy night and we were seated immediately. We got our drinks quickly and our waitress was awesome. Our pizza took about 30ish minutes to get to the table from the time it was ordered which is great for freshly made pizza. We got the Socrates' Revenge which we get almost every time we visit Dewey's. It was delicious as usual. Our waitress made sure we weren't running out of drinks and was friendly throughout our visit. Our wedding was a destination wedding; destination, St. Charles, MO. I had eaten at the Dewey's Pizza in Webster Groves (also amazing), and decided when planning our wedding that for our "rehearsal dinner" we would have a pizza party. I called from NC, and was told that they don't take reservations, but if we have half of our party there at the start time, they would then seat us with the "reserved" number of seats. My fiance and I stopped a couple of days before the dinner to confirm this in person. The night of the party, (I WISH I could remember the manager's name, because...................) She had already set up the tables for our party of 20 before we got there! AND there were 15 extra family members who ended up crashing the party; they got seated with us!! The wait staff was WONDERFUL!! They didn't make us feel rushed; they were attentive and kind. It was SUCH a great experience ALL the way around. The atmosphere was quaint, classic, and upbeat. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and there was almost no wait time to be seated. Things seemed to be running very efficiently for only the second day of the establishment's opening week. As for the pizza, it was absolutely delicious! We tried the Don Corleone special and the Killer Veggie. They accidentally put sausage on the veggie, so when they brought it out to us they explained they were already making a new one correctly at no charge and it would be out shortly. I went there with my boyfriend. I got the house side salad with the dressing on the side. It was incredible! We shared the Bronx bomber without olives, add bacon. AMAZING! Dewey's has been very good the three times I have eaten at this location. Dewey's won my heart on a busy weekday. The wait time was 45 minutes for lunch seating, and I was ready to leave. But the host and bartender and a couple of polite guests made room for my husband and I at the bar. The candied walnut & grape salad hit the healthy-spot, and it was very filling. We were out and about and saw a pizza place we have not tried. We decided on a whim to eat here. We are extremely glad we did. When we arrived we were just going to do take out so we sat at the bar. Upon seeing how awesome our meal looked (Calzones) we decided to eat here. The staff was extremely nice and gladly helped us switch to eating in. On the topic of nice staff the people making the pizza can be seen behind the glass and put on a show for the kids here. I waited 45 minutes to be seated, it was certainly busy which is always a good sign. I ordered the Calzone and my wife ordered the Edgar Allen Poe Pizza, and we shared a peppercorn ranch salad. First, I must say the service was absolutely excellent. Our waitress was attentive and wonderful. Our salad came out first and it was delicious, although I thought it was a bit light on the dressing. Our pizza came out next and they had messed up our order, so they gave us the pizza with a topping that we'd asked not be added, and said they'd bring us the correct one. Both Pizzas were paid for on the house, so another bonus, although still a bit disappointing. My wife enjoyed the pizza, but I must say the Calzone was incredibly disappointing. It was mostly bread, I thought they should have added a whole lot more cheese and meat for the price I paid. Easily the worst Calzone I've ever had, honestly, and certainly the reason they get two stars.... its because of the food, not the service. I won't be going back because the Calzone was sub-par, but I won't knock the staff. Excellent experience with them. If you want a great Calzone, I'd look elsewhere. read more
