We were craving pizza in Missouri and this place had a good rating. Braving 34° temperatures feels like 21° (extremely cold for this CA girl), we headed out to Dewey's Pizza. We ordered an 11" pizza half Don Corleone and half ham. My half was the Don Corleone and it was very good! The flavor combinations were perfect! The pizza crust is thin, but I like a thin crust. Nov. 28 we brought our family of eight to Dewey's. What a pleasant experience. To be honest, it was so nice we all were a little surprised! All staff was great! The pizza chefs were excellent! My 4 year old granddaughter was in 'awe'! The chefs were extremely engaging. Their interaction with her made her (and her Mimi) life long fans!!!! Dewey's is always a solid choice. The gluten free pizza is so good and my family loves the regular crust. We had a very minor mix up with our order tonight and the manager and our waiter were so professional and gracious. I was very impressed. We love Dewey's! With indoor dining closed, we ordered delivery and they were so patient and accommodating. Since they have different beer at each location, their beer menu isn't on their website. The server was so sweet and listed off all of their cans and what was on tap for us, told us about each beer, and advised us on a half and half pizza vs two small pizzas. The food itself was delicious. We got half veggie/half inferno, and turtle cheesecake for desert. The pizzas are HEAVY and I'm referring to the actual weight. They definitely don't skimp on the toppings and we ate every bite. We really appreciate businesses who have adapted to curbside/delivery, and are taking every precaution to safely serve customers. I highly recommend Dewey's and we will be customers as long as we are in the area! read more

On 9/27 my family picked up two Deweys pizzas for takeout. Not long into the meal my three year old discovered a giant piece of glass in his cheese pizza by biting into in. Thank God my family is ok! We immediately called the store to warn them and make sure others pizzas weren't also being baked with glass inside and not only was no apology given, the matter was not taken seriously and the stores response was a partial refund and a $20 gift card which I might add won't even cover the price of a single pizza there. So disappointed in Deweys hazardous kitchen environment and lack of apology. I know there's a lot of good pizza to choose from here in St. Louis and depending on the type of pizza you prefer you may even disagree with the following statement I am about to make but here goes nothing.... "DEWEY'S IS THE BEST PIZZA IN TOWN" The crust is as soft as a baby's bottom, the Green Lantern and the Billy Goat are perfected with the topping of goat cheese (my favorite cheese in the whole wide world) and the service is consistently consistent. This is the newest location and I like it because they have outdoor seating unlike the other's. Wait...the seating could belong to Five Guys with is right next door. Nonetheless, I sat there and enjoyed my pizza. I say they should share the patio furniture and everyone'll be happy. read more

My wife and I shared a salad and small pizza. The dinner salad was plain and simple but very good. The small pepperoni and mushroom pizza was excellent. We also had two ice teas. The service was good and the young ladies were very nice. The ambience was good, just a pizza joint. Our bill was $34 before tip. We will return because the food was really good. read more

I first tried this place on a complete whim when another local restaurant wasn't open for dinner that night. I have to say, I'm so glad that we happened across it as it's become one of our favorite local pizza joints. You can obviously get all the staple usual pizzas that you can anywhere but where they shine is in their speciality offerings. The Porky Fig is alway such a hit with any guest we have because it's so different from anything anyone has ever had. For the more basic side they have Ryan's Inferno and the SW BBQ. Even though those two are more mainstream dewey's does a great job at adding their own twist to them. My only gripe, and it a small one, is that they don't offer delivery. read more

GLUTEN-FREE (GF) PIZZA CRUSTS!!!! First, before you judge, I used to be a "normal" person and ate whatever I wanted. Yum! Dewey's pizza is Dee-Lish. No need for special anything. Then stuff happened (oh sadness) and I am now unable to eat WHEAT. No more yummy pizza crusts, burger buns, etc. Then I discovered Dewey's GF pizzas. With trepidation, I ordered my first carry-out. So good! Caprice with freshly sliced tomatoes and basil and their undeniably flavor-bombed white sauce. GF and happy. At this point, you need to know that when you order a GF pizza, the Dewey's employee will ask if you have an allergy or a food preference. Allergy means they cut the pizza in a completely separate and GF place. Once when I ordered, the worker said, "ok, but I just want you to know there is a lot of flour all over the place here." Hmmm. Anyway, their topping choices are amazing, and if you can't decide, you can order a half-n-half, which I recommend. Go for an old favorite and try something new. The fontina cheese in their white sauce topping will make you never want plain old mozz again. Smell that? My GF Pizza is ready. I bring it home, open it up, and it is gorgeous. The bright red tomatoes, deep green basil leaves, and soft hues of white and palest yellow from the cheeses is mouthwatering. The crust is thin and crispy, like the edge of a cornbread, with a hint of sweetness. The edge of the crust is a bit too chewy, so I leave the bones on my plate like when I was a kid. Unfortunately, there's been such inconsistency - and at least once some cross-contamination with flour that left me sick for 4-5 days - that I am taking a break from dear Dewey. On the worst days, the pizza has been so greasy (and it's vegetarian) that it soaks the paper liner beneath it. One Wild Mushroom pizza had so few mushrooms on it I could've played connect the dots, while another time, it was a masterpiece of shroominess I refused to share! If you get the GF pizza, it doesn't fare well as leftovers in the box. It needs to be stored in an airtight container. Otherwise, the crust becomes more like a rawhide chew you'd give to Rover. read more

When I'm visiting some place out of town I like to think that I am visiting a local restaurant; however, once home I found out that this is a chain, albeit a small chain restaurant--so not big corporate. That being said, I was very impressed with the Bronx Bomber that we ordered. It had a crisp, wood-fired crust that I enjoyed, so it wasn't chewy. Ordered the caprice pizza and the peppercorn salad. The pizza ingredients were fresh and plentiful. This was easily one of the best pizzas we've had from Dewey's. My only recommendation for improvement was more dressing for the salad. Due to the waitlist, we ordered our food to go.
