You can not get a bite in, of their so/so food, without CONSTANT interruptions from the wait staff, like at LEAST 20 times. I answer, "the food is still fine". DO NOT ASK ME AGAIN. Then 10 minutes, not 20 or 30 minutes, they take your plate away, with lots of food on it and food on your fork. This level of over service happens EVERY SINGLE time. I even wrote and email to corporate asking for a change and was offered a coupon. A coupon???? Like I would want my meal interrupted 20 times yet again. No thank you. Skip this place. Dewey's is my favorite place to get pizza! I love having the option to do half and half, so it's great to go with friends. This time we got half porkys fig and half Dr. Dre. Porky's fig was a bit too sweet for us, but it did taste like a charcuterie board in a pizza. Dr. Dre is our favorite flavor! The weekend dinner waits are usually long, but we went later on a weeknight and it was really quick. The restaurant is cozy and it's fun being able to watch the pizza get made while waiting though. Dewey's is my #1 place to eat when I'm in Cincy. The service and food are consistently great and today was no different. My husband and I went in for an early dinner. They open at 4 on Sundays and at about 4:15 we were the second table and were sat and waited upon immediately. They have a rotating selection of draft beer with some local options. We split the house salad. No iceberg lettuce here! The salad has spring mix, goat cheese, pine nuts and crasins. Perfection. We got the Edgar Allen Poe pizza. I think this is the only pizza I've ever had at Dewey's because if it ain't broken... The pizza has kalamata olives, goat cheese and roasted garlic. Gf got wine, I had a sip it was good. Prob the most flavorful part of lunch. Waiter was attentive, guess he was the bartender too, there was another server and one lady in just normal clothes, guessing the manager? Pizza came out quick, flavor was alright. A lot thinner than I remember, size was decent tho. The cheese was better than the one I got honestly. Luckily the pizza half and half was 14 something since we didn't get a full signature one. All in all, you can find better and cheaper pizza around town, better service and better atmosphere. After I arrived and checked in my order was brought up by a younger girl with braids in her hair. She had an absolutely awful attitude. She handed me my order and I told her that she forgot my salad, to which she just rolled her eyes and walked away! She brought my salad up and just walked away again without a word! Came in for a quick lunch with my family. Had to take the daughter for a check up and she wanted pizza! Noticed it was next to ice cream so I was ready! The service was great and it wasn't crowded. I had not had it in at least 10 years. Let me tell you; it was better than I remembered. My daughter never eats crust. She ate the crust. That's how good it was. Usually land here when visiting Cincy on a day trip. It is fantastic pizza that is consistently so. I had the Edgar Allen Poe and a house salad paired with a beer (a Dunkel by High Grain that was happier and less malty than I expected). The Poe is a white pizza with an olive oil base, mozzarella, and fontina, roasted garlic, olives, and goat cheese. Tomato slices are part of the recipe as well, but I think the pizza works better without. This pizza is made with a really thin crust. I dined at this restaurant for the first time with friends of mine from my community. We had one waiter who took our orders. When it came time to pay our bill, we all paid separately. I noticed that there were 3-4 staff people taking our cash and credit cards. My bill came to $9.05. I gave the one waitress $11.05 and told her that "I was good". I was one of the first ones out the door when we all had paid our bill and what I didn't know until I arrived back at our community was that the manager came over with several of my neighbors still near the table and said that our table still owed $28.00. He then figured out that no, the remaining amount was not $28.00, it was my only bill which he said I had not paid. When I found this out from one of my neighbors, I drove back over to Dewey's and asked to speak to the manager. He told me that the waitress had thought that the cash that I had given her was her tip. Why would someone think that for a $9.05 tab, that your tip would be $11.05? The manager did not tell me that he was sorry that this had occurred and that the waitress should not have kept my money for herself and then accuse me of not paying my bill. I will not return to this restaurant. They have a waitress who will take your cash and tell the manager that you walked out without paying your bill. Plus, the manager handled this very poorly. There are plenty of other pizza restaurants in West Chester and I would strongly avoid this one. read more

Dewey's Pizza has some good pizza! We hadn't had it in awhile but decided to have a Friday night family pizza night here. It was packed and we had to wait about 45 min-1 hr. While we waited, we did enjoy wine at the bar and good family laughs. They also had the Yelp waitlist available. I would definitely encourage putting your name on the list if you plan to come on a Friday night like we did. I forgot to check for the name waitlist and we had a long wait. However, the service is very good and the food comes out pretty quick. When we were finally seated we started our night off with side salads. My mom and I had the house salad. It consisted of field greens, toasted pine nuts, dried cranberries, goat cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette. It was very tasty and a good combination of tart (from the dressing) and sweet from the cranberries. I love this salad. While here I came with my husband, 2 kids, my mother and grandmother. My mom is a health freak so she made a healthy concoction with Gluten Free crust and no cheese. My grandma, husband and I all shared a large Bronx Bomber and added pineapple and jalapeños. We ordered my daughter a cheese pizza. Everybody enjoyed their pizza and thought it was good. No one had any complaints. Overall, Dewey's is a good pizza joint. read more

Awesome pizza, great selection of drinks on tap, always a great playlist and a comfy atmosphere. Dewey's is really great. They're very friendly to kids as well -- you can see the kitchen behind glass as soon as you walk in, where you can watch them hand toss the pizzas. Not matter who's working back there, they always love to have fun with the kids by tossing some flour at the window -- my son *loves* it! If you're undecided on which pizza to get, be sure to go half and half...it's the way we always go. I'd suggest finishing the pizza there, as the toppings are so fresh, this pizza is always best right when it's been made. Be sure to stop in this location and say hi to Joe the manager. He has a great staff, and they always give you a great experience. They use the community service model, where any server waits on any table. The service here is some of the best I have ever had. Went in on a busy evening and took a minute to get seated. They have a large dining room that is clearly a pizza place. Had their half and half pizza and their pizza was excellent. Getting back to the service, the manager came out with the pizza and mentioned that it was smaller than usual so they fired another 11" pizza to go along with our main. My husband & I stopped by here for Cincy Pizza Week. I'd never been before & was surprised there was a 30 minute wait to be seated. We ordered the $8 pizza that was the Cincy Pizza Week Special...the 11″ Don Corleone which consisted of red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, Genoa salami, capicola ham, and seasoned with oregano. The pizza was good but I like veggies with the meat on my pizza so I would be more inclined to order the Bronx Bomber if I return here. I like that they offer gluten-free crust for $3 additional. The prices are high here compared to other pizzerias but the service was excellent. They only offer Diet Coke & not Coke Zero so I ended up drinking water...bummer! read more

Decent food, but it's hard to get. I ordered a takeout order with an hour wait time, which is fine. I showed up early to wait so I could sit at the bar and have a beer or two. Apparently the bar does no have anyone looking over it. I was one of three people seated at the bar, and multiple people walked by me and said nothing. I finally asked the hostess (who was great) of anyone was working the bar. She told me the person working the bar was "very busy" and offered to help me herself, which I appreciated. She got the person "working" the bar to serve me a beer, but said nothing. After about 20 minutes, I put my empty glass towards the edge of the bar and waited. And waited. And waited. There are several Dewey's and they're all pretty much the same. We've been to several others but this was our first trip to the West Chester location. We went on a Friday evening and as usual, there was a short wait. The place had quite a few families who brought their screaming kids. The decor is not sound absorbing and the noise level was a consistent 80 decibels. I'd suggest going after 7:30 for a quieter experience. We split a family sized salad ($9.25) and ordered a medium (13") pizza with half Socrates Revenge and half sausage, onions and green peppers ($19.20). The salad was huge and we could have gotten by splitting a small salad. The pizza was OK with tons of olives on the Socrates side and a medium amount of toppings on the other (see picture). The crust was on the thin side but the edges were nice and chewy. OK, but not great and @ $19.20, no bargain. However the place is popular so you might want to try it out yourself. Like almost more than I love my husband. So birthday goals this year included my own personal pizza buffet. Dewey's was just the right place for that! We came in at 6:00 on a Monday. We had 8 people, one who uses a wheelchair. I told the hostess that and she made sure to seat us near the side door so she wouldn't have to try to maneuver through the entire restaurant. We are all very used to opening doors for her and moving obstacles out of her way so when I saw her coming I asked someone in our group to get the door for her. The Dewey's staff were having none of that! They also saw her coming and without prompting two of them went to assist. It's not like they had nothing else to do - the restaurant was full! Excellent service continued throughout. They took great care of us! So about that pizza. We ordered no less than 5 different kinds, because pizza obsession is a genetic trait in this family. Each one was fabulous! Not overly greasy or heavy and the crust was oh-so-good. We got Porky Fig (this is a dark horse, people! Must try!), Hawaiian, Socrates Revenge, Don Corleone, and Ryan's Inferno. Ryan's was definitely the group favorite. I never expected to love raw celery on a pizza but trust me, it works! So smart, I am going to break it down in Dewey Decimal Code: 000 - Pizza: The foundation is well established with top notch, fresh ingredients. They offer what the chain establishments are trying to recover, QUALITY! Customers are increasingly becoming more selective and Dewey's has excellent pizza that commands notice over other chains. 100 - Salads: with a name like Dewey's Pizza, it is easy to underestimate their salads. Locals have caught onto their secret, with an excellent array of selections, all fresh and lively. 200 - Beer: like peanut butter to jelly, pizza needs beer. And when you serve top notch pizzas, the beer better stand up. Dewey's has picked a great set of handles to pour. They have a nice balance of local and nationwide micros, with no attention given to the big 3 macros... Amen! 300 - Service: customer service has the ability to cover flaws and sins for many restaurants... I've found no major flaws at Dewey's, and had excellent service every time I've eaten here. Seated fast, drinks quick to the table, order taken and food served within 10-15 mins. Quality never suffers all the while. You can tell that the servers enjoy working here, and are generally happy. Their charisma is refreshing. 400 - Atmosphere: sports on several TVs, located throughout the restaurant, but sized appropriately as to not take over the joint. You can catch your game, but keep the feel of a classy pizza spot vs. a sports bar. The pizza making is part of the show, with windows transparently showing off the entire operation. 500 - Fun! This is a great place for families. The kids love to watch the pizza being tossed, and the cooks always make them feel special versus ignoring or pushing them away. I always enjoy trying something new from their rotation of brews.
