Vacationing alone so lots of time to eat.... Alone. Which can be intimidating. No issues at this place. Or anywhere in Moab! The bar tender was very polite and attentive. Ate dinner at the bar on my first night in Moab. Got the poblano burger. OMG so freaking good! I'm not a picture-taker of food but I knew my son would be jealous so I took it to show him. This place wasn't originally on our list to try, but few places were open late when we got back from the national parks. Food was good and portions were generous. It was quite unexpected. The service was also very quick and attentive. The only downside was they seated us to a very large and noisy party when there were other tables open just for the two of us. Front dining room with obnoxious canned lighting felt like I was on stage. I'm willing to bet there are much better places to eat in Moab but I was only there one night. We stopped in to Dewey's for dinner because it was within walking distance of our hotel. After a long arduous day at Arches in 100 degree heat we were looking for something close by. Loved the inspiration for the name, we noticed the Dewey Bridge driving into town. We had great service but the food was pretty mediocre. Beer cheese soup had nice flavor but was pretty thin. Onion rings looked better than they were. The French dip really needed the Au jus. Was very dry without it. The steak and fettuccine was merely okay too. Steak ordered medium rare was served much closer to rare. Fettuccine was bland, as it often is. Menu described roasted garlic sauce, there was no garlic flavor. Another strange thing ... a manager circled up the wait staff and appeared to chew one out in view of customers. It was a slow night, but still very odd behavior. read more

We had stopped for a drink and some appetizers. We almost got the shrimp tacos and the house burger but didn't think we could eat it all. We ended up with a basket of onion rings and a cheese quesadilla. The onion rings were pretty good, not greasy and we served hot and crisp. The quesadilla was nothing fancy and it was good. The drinks were fantastic. We ordered a spiked Arnold Palmer and mojito. The AP was peachy and it was a nice fresh drink. The mojito was also top notch. I'd recommend this place for sure! read more

After looking up a few of the spots in town this is the place we decided to go. We were so incredibly happy that we did. With no children hanging on us this trip we decided to go to the bar side where it's 21+. Paige came up and greeted us with a smiling helpful happy face. She gave some great suggestions and when asked about her opinions she did not disappoint. The drink service was fast with cold steins to keep the beer cold in the Moab dreadful heat. What surprised me the most was how reasonable the prices were for this part of town. We ordered the Cuban and French dip. It was plentiful as we couldn't even finish the sandwiches. What really surprised us as well was the quality of the side salad my wife got in place of French fries. If you are in the mood for a salad I would definitely recommend that. Came here with my family after a day of driving and hiking in Canyonlands. We were seated immediately and our server was very nice. We order Moscow mules, their seasonal beer (blackberry sour), and a rum and Pepsi and everything tasted very good. Went into Dewey's in search of nachos and BOY did they deliver! The portion was huge and so satisfying. I added the pulled pork and that really leveled things up! The waitress was very friendly and service was fast! My guy got the chicken parm which was also delicious but the nachos were definitely the star! Our server was really friendly and the vibe is great! This place has nice open areas, great for large groups, as well as small table areas for a more intimate dining experience. The staff seemed knowledgeable about GF, however I will give a *WARNING*. I was served the Spinach Artichoke Dip with corn tortillas, and spent the entire night in the bathroom. I do not believe the dip was GF, so if you do go here, make sure they check EVERYTHING until you feel safe. We ordered two orders of "a cheese quesadilla with corn tortillas" and learned that one order of the above comes with 3 quesadillas. The chicken cordon bleu and pistachio chicken were great. We finally made it to Dewey's. It seems like every time we'd try to go something or other would prevent us from actually going. It's worth the hype! We ate in the restaurant side with the big door which they opened while we were there. It was perfect :) I ordered the Chicken Marsala which is so so tasty (although maybe it's a little on the salty side by the time you reach the end, but I would order it again!). We had a mixed experience. I had the Cubano sandwich and it was very good. My wife had the salmon salad and it was not good. We sat on the bar side, which had a dive feel to it. Service was good...no complaints. I would go back for beers, but probably go elsewhere for dinner. read more

A friend and I came here this August during a weekend getaway in Moab and we had such a blast. We were just planning on grabbing a drink or two, but ended up staying for hours after conversing with some of the locals and staff! We didn't get to try the food, but the cocktails were great and the staff made us feel so welcomed. I'm blanking on the name of the owner of the bar, but he has created such a great community at this location for both locals and visitors. Was recommended by locals to eat here and it did not disappoint. Service was great, friendly and fast. Food was delicious, I had the pistachio crusted chicken and omg it was GOOD! My husband had the Hawaiian burger and he loved it. He also had the Dead Horse amber ale that he enjoyed to the last drop. We got there about 2030 it was pretty calm but it was also a Monday night but as we were leaving it was starting to pick up and the bar side seemed hopping. We just completed an evening trail ride and we're a bit dusty but still felt comfortable in our casual clothes. We loved Dewey's! We ate here twice during our week in Moab. We got the nachos appetizer, poblano burger, and shrimp alfredo pasta. The pasta was REALLY GOOD. It was big portions too. The cheese wasn't too overwhelming (the pasta wasn't drowning in cheese), and the shrimp was cooked well. I was really full after, it came with 2 pieces of garlic bread too. The nacho appetizer was yummy too. It wasn't too expensive overall, compared to food in the city. Service was great, our server was super nice. It's crazy to see that this place changed from Eddie McStiffs. I love the next design with the outdoor garage doors and covered outdoor seating. The inside is also revamped with light blues and high beams; industrial look and feel and ver open. The food was okay; that being said, the onion rings were the best I've ever had. The shrimp tacos were really good as well. The spicy pomodoro chicken was not spicy, the sauce should cover the pasta not the chicken. The area where is wasn't smothered was nice and crispy, but the rest of the chicken that was covered made the breading less appealing to eat. The south of the border chicken sandwich was decent, but not to the point I only ate half the sandwich. Next time I'd just stick with a burger and onion rings. read more

Dewey's is an AWESOME choice if you are in Moab. We arrived just before 6PM and were seated immediately. They are in a shopping center, so they have easy parking. All tables are inside, and it is a mix of booths and tables. The service is friendly and the joint is clean. People really hustle here. The food was also delicious. The LOs enjoyed their grilled cheese while DH enjoyed the daily special, which was pasta in a cream sauce with prime rib and shrimp. To be totally fair, the meat was a little chewy and the sauce could have been more generous, but the flavors were there. I really enjoyed the Shrimp Fajita Salad. It was torn Romaine with sauteed peppers and onions as well as grape tomatoes and lots of well seasoned, moist and sweet shrimp as well as some slices of avocado. Initially, I thought that the dressing was insufficient. Instead, I cut it up and tossed the salad, and it was PERFECT. Bonus was having local beers on tap and local spirits available. We were told to visit this place. Y another restaurant owner who's business was closed at the time. She said to try the French Dip because it was the best she'd ever had. Her review held up because that's what my wife ordered. We started with their artichoke dip with came with grilled pita wedges. This dip was outstanding! I don't know how they make theirs, but it was very creamy and full of flavor. My wife said the French dip was the best she'd had, the roll was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The beef was thin sliced and tender. The broth was flavorful and the fries were perfect. I had the Poblano Burger, one of the best tasting burgers ever. A great mix of flavors.
