New I was searching for a shop for my truck from some hail damage from March. I settled on DG Collision based on their reviews and hoped for the best. I waited until I got my truck back to post review so I could be thorough from start to end. I have my truck back and can honestly say that I was 100% pleased. They worked with me in every way they could. Even met me at the rental car shop to pick up my truck to take another worry off my plate. Sal and Shad were extremely friendly and transparent. They were truly working in the best interest of the customer. So people know I'm being honest in my review, I did find one extremely small issue with a rear fender, that wasn't part of the hail damage, and Sal had it fixed as well on them. It will be well worth your time to at least talk to them and see what they can do for you. And let them know John sent you. :) read more

If however you are looking for a place that commits fraud, the inability to follow simple directions even when they confirm them, shoddy and extremely poor work that is so bad, the insurance company wont even take it back to them to fix it, this is your dream shop. *** Be careful with this group. Find someone else. Saturday December 6, 2014 at 2pm my wife has an accident. Tow Truck driver gives me 3 cards and recommendations for repair/body shops. I choose DGCollision becuase they are local and have been in business since 1978. I wish i would have chosen someone else. Car to be repaired is a 2 week old 2015 Nissan Rogue SL. The shop contacts me on December 8 and asks who insurance company is to get the process started. December 10, the adjuster goes to DG and does assessment of car. Over 10k in damages. Issues check to DG with both of our names on it to start getting parts to fix it. (I didnt know he issued check to them, which the promptly sign my name to to deposit). Talk to owner of place, John, and he says parts are on order. Great. Told him that there are issues with the brakes and they would eventually need to be looked at. Two weeks go by and i ask the status. Still waiting on parts. December 20 or so, I get another check from insurance company with my name and DG on it. I hold onto this one. Another week, still waiting on parts. 2015 comes and again, still waiting on parts. Even went and viewed the car. They had some parts but not all of them. Owner tells me this is not uncommon due to new car, parts are hard to come by. They will get all of them then start working from the inside out. Late Jan, I am reviewing information about Nissan Rogue and see that there is a recall due to brake issues. Immediately call DG to tell them DO NOT TOUCH THE CAR, ESPECIALLY BRAKES. Retain attorneys. Attorneys say cease and desist work on car as it will be part of a lawsuit. On Feb 11, DG received the letter and confirmed to attorney they received it. Early May, my insurance company calls me to tell me DG called them asking for final payments on car. I told them im not paying it until the car is finished. Late May, I get a call saying the car is repaired and ready to be picked up. I am shocked, they fixed the car when they were told not to. Attorney and I go pick up car and have it towed to my house. Yep, they "Fixed" it. I pay and it goes to my house to sit in garage as it is still evidence in suit against nissan. I also find out there are 5 other checks they have signed in my name for for an addition 5,000 dollars worth of work. Get home and look over car. There are issues that I noticed. Door makes a funny click when it is shut. AC does not blow cold air No license plate on front of car. Trim doesnt match up. And it is leaking fluids (transmission and antifreeze/coolant) . Called Attorneys and advised them and then tell me they arranged to have a data recovery specialist to come out and pull data off the computers for case against nissan. Data recovery guys come and discover that DG destroyed the evidence. They threw out the computer and replaced it with a new one. Attorneys write a letter to DG advising them they are now liable for the entire claim as they willfully disobeyed my instructions and their cease and desist letter which they confirmed. Attorneys ask me to take car to Nissan to have it inspected. Get to dealership and they wont even touch it as it has serious issues. They say bring it back after it gets fixed. I called my insurance company and they send another adjuster out to look car over. He gets there and is blown away at the DGs work. Things that are wrong are extremely poor workmanship, bad burn lines to blend old paint and new paint, body lines off, gaps in door frames/fender, Hood (way to light, no stickers or anything under the hood) , no ac and clicking sound in door amongst others under the hood behind fenders that indicate they were just getting it out as easily as they could. Insurance adjuster advises me the car is not safe to drive anywhere. The clicking in the door is the "locking" mechanisim that is not locking the door down. Adjuster talks to his boss and they decide to total out the car rather than send it back to DG to fix it right. Apparently they dont have any faith in them either. So now, a car that was repaired for 21,000 was just totaled out for another amount of 29,000. Thats right. a 29,000 Nissan Rogue is now worth 50,000 because of DG Collisions incompetence. I am completely disgusted with DG Collision. They have caused an incredible bad situation to get even worse because of negligence and carlessness. Do yourself a favor, go with someone else. You will save yourself a lot of heartache. read more

My Porsche was involved in an hit and run accident. I'm extremely picky on who touches my car. I got a recommendation from a friend that has good history with DG collision in Lewisville TX. Shah and his team did the annoying haggling with the insurance company's to get ALL original porsche parts as requested and have my vehicle as it was before the loss. They are very informative and available anytime for questions/updates. Witch is a huge plus to know you are being taken care of from all sides. At pick up everything was flawless! My husband and I have used DG Collision twice now. Once when we were in a car accident and once when our car was broken into the the window was completely shattered. Shah was extremely friendly both times. He got things taken care of very quickly and helped us when we needed it most. He was even willing to drive all the way to my husbands work and pick up the car when it was having issues. He then drove it back to our apartment when he was done with it. He is very efficient and cost friendly. Him and his wife and very nice people and we love using them. I had a wreck in my car and did not have rental coverage. They provided me with a loaner car, free of charge for the entire time my car was being worked on. They are very honest. I needed my car by a certain date as I was going out of town and they were able to get it to me by then but they did not have time to get the alignment. Although it didn't really need one they gave me a check for the cost of the alignment so I could get it at a later date and still make my trip. My car was badly scratch during an overnight parking from passenger side from Mid front door all the way to bumper and it was so bad that you can feel the body under the paint and primer . On recommendation of my uncle I took my car to DG and man did I do myself a huge favor! Shah, the owner met me himself and explained the process and set realistic expectation. He told Me car will be ready in two weeks but it can take upto 4 week based on adjusters approval. He delivered the car in2 weeks time and I have rarely seen a body shop guy taking interest and making call on your behalf . Car was fixed in a way that I can tell if there was any scratch . He cleaned my car inside out , washed my tyres and the main reason of car being at his shop, the bad and deep scratch I can't even tell if it was ever there to begin with . When taking your car to a body shop, you hope it will get repaired and your life will go on as usual. In the event you're not happy with the repair, you have some sort of leverage to ask them to fix it or take your car somewhere else. Not in this case. DG Collision Center is in business to get your money, in every way possible. They take advantage of this unregulated sector and bite, bite hard. Although Texas regulates how much a storage yard can charge every day ($20, I Googled it), DG charges $30 per day!!! They charge and charge and charge.... even more if you're not happy with their doctrine. Once you take your car there, expect to get screwed, royally. The insurance adjuster will probably hate you for making him deal with those people. They will repair your car in a crappy half way job, and/or kill you with their storage fees if you're unsatisfied. Exactly what happened to me, and when I complained (after a long research of who to complain to), Texas TDLR said since it was my choice to take my car there, they can't do anything about it. In addition to saying they don't regulate body shops, I should hire a lawyer, etc, etc... Do your self a favor and take your car somewhere else. Don't get fooled by their initial estimate or sweet talk. For them, you're just a prey read more
