Came here last week to do state inspection for my motorcycle - the owner said his computer is not working (seemed like he made it up on the spot) I asked him if I can come back the next day and he said sure I went back 2 days ago and this time he says he doesn't do motorcycles. So I asked him why he didn't say so the first time I was there, he wasted my time not once but twice. Got it done for $7 from kwik kar without any issues Oh by the way, for car inspections he charges $2 extra if paying by card no extra charge if paying cash (IRS wink wink). read more

State inspection!!! I came in for an inspection on my car. Was in and out in a bout 10 mins. The guy was very nice and friendly. It was kind of hard to find a person but if you walk around the building. He has an office at the very end. There's like three doors and they don't lead the same room. As mentioned in the last couple reviews this guy is rude jerk. I had him do a vehicle inspection of mine a couple years ago and asked if did any repairs and what his prices were. He said he does repairs and the prices seemed reasonable. So I go today to get another inspection done and I had front brake pads/rotter and back struts I wanted replaced/repaired. We agreed to a price and I had the stuff in my trunk for him and he said it would take a couple hours to do, no big deal I decided to wait. About 20 minutes later 2 other people stopped in to get vehicle inspections and then this idiot tells me he's too busy to do the work on my vehicle and to come back on Monday, this is after this moron already started and removed the 2 front tires on my truck. He puts the 2 tires back on and rudely tells me to come back on Monday, not a chance...you lost my business totally. As you can see with recent previous reviews this guy is a complete unprofessional jerk. I went to Mobile 1 Express and they completed the work I wanted done with courtesy and professionalism. The cost was only $50.00 more, but it included an alignment. They do state inspections as well and they are done quickly, I saw several people come and go in less than 10 minutes so I highly recommend them over this place if want professional work done and treated respectfully. This dude is fast and not only with inspections but he also changed my brake pads fir a super price. Don't let the one man show deceive you into thinking he's gonna pass your inspection and your car is missing a windshield or the steering wheel has been replaced with a lid to a paint can. He even showed me how they (Walmart where I got my oil changed last time) had not changed the oil filter and he showed me where to check under my car and marked the new one with my name so next time I know if they actually change it. Don't let the location behind a 7-11 deter you. I stopped at SSS today for a state inspection and got quick, incredibly friendly service. The waiting area was a pleasant surprise as well, but I didn't have to stay long because I was in and out within 10 minutes. The sign says they do oil changes, too, so I may use this business instead of the Valvoline down the street. read more

In violation of Chapter 37 of the Texas Administrative Code, Rule §23.62, Raheem, the owner of this inspection station, with no justification, refused to perform a basic safety inspection on a 2005 diesel pickup truck. He said he only does ODB inspections for which he can charge significantly more money than he is able to charge for a safety inspection which is all that is required for a 2005 diesel. Trying to protect this small business owner, I pointed out that the law does not permit him to be selective about to whom he does and does not provide inspection services. At this point Raheem became very belligerent. Use this provider at your own peril. read more

I had been driving around with an expired sticker for half a year and decided that it was about time to get my auto inspection done before my luck ran out. My roommate suggested that I give Triple SSS a shot and I'm sure glad that I did. Everyone knows the inspection sticker is just another way the state can make more money. But their criteria for passing an inspection is ridiculous. I once failed at a larger and well known auto shop because I didn't have "adequate wiper blades." Seriously? Ever since then I've been going to smaller mom and pop shops. Some good, some not so much, but anything beats having to make multiple trips back to the shop for a failed test This place is hard to spot as it's situated right behind Jack in the Box. If you see a structure that looks like a gas station car wash then you're at the right place! When I got there no one was ahead of me so I didn't have to wait. The whole thing lasted less than ten minutes, which consisted of nothing more than a simple read on a diagnostic computer. Yup. No headlight check, break check or the dreaded wiper blade check (kidding). The sign at the shop states that you don't pay on a failed inspection. I highly doubt that you'll ever run into this problem unless your check engine light is on. At $40 bucks it's definitely higher than other places I've been to. But the amount of time saved more than made up for it. Also, you're not going to find another mechanic that's as friendly as the owner. Pretty awesome dude. I'll be coming back here as long as this place is open. read more

My top priorities are that car shops are quick, affordable, gentle with my car, and have good customer service. This place is fantastic. The owner is very nice and approachable.
