Let me first say that our waitress was great- she was patient and was definitely overworked during the busy weekend. This review has nothing to do with her and EVERYTHING to do with the horrible kitchen, food and wait. I would NEVER eat here again. Once we ordered our food, it took an hour to receive it. Normally, I'm patient about waiting for good food. But it wasn't!! I ordered DiLuna's signature hash and it was literally just boiled vegetables (no salt, no spices, not even any oil for flavoring). Disappointed that they moved the high tables away from the front windows but the atmosphere was still charming and rustic and the crafts in the front are a fun new addition. I came here for breakfast with the BF and his brother. I got the Eggs Seattle (Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon instead of ham) with the sweet potato hashbrowns and the dish was killer! A really good breakfast using locally sourced ingredients. My cranberry mimosa was so-so - since it is cranberry season and it was listed as a special I was expecting something fresh as apposed to standard cranberry juice. BF got the eggs benedict and was pleased, his brother got the garden omelet and thought it was so-so - said it tasted like the veggies had been frozen. We purchased French toast, which was made up of three very small pieces of bread and two tiny, thin strips of bacon. Our experience here, was okay. The place feels a little dirty. The service was friendly and prompt, with our iced teas being refilled multiple times. My husbands pancake was way too thick and dense, but he liked the bacon and eggs. I ordered the crab cake Benny and the flavor was good, but it was really soggy. Great food! After trying three other locations for breakfast at 10:30am, we came here and were over the moon with our options. Sharp and Sweet Hash is must try! Food was great, service was certainly not. We were not greeted at all when we arrived, drinks took almost 10 minutes and we were never given water like everyone else in the building. We then had to wait almost 40 minutes for our waitress who was not terribly happy, just so we could order. People that came in after us also revived service before us. After that, and we finally received our food, we were only briefly checked on once. We had to go up to the kitchen just to ask for our bill after our waitress continued to ignore us, only tending to her other tables. Very rude. Very disappointed. We were passing through town and decided to stop to eat. There was a parking space open in front of this place so we decided to give it a try. I'm super happy that we did because this is going to be our new go-to whenever we come back to Sandpoint!! The first good sign was their coffee! It was freshly brewed and had such great flavor. My hubs ordered the cinnamon French toast with a sausage patty. The French toast was everything you want it to be, nice crunch on the outside but fluffy in the middle. It's just the right amount of cinnamon and sweet. The sausage patty was one of the best we've ever had, you can tell the quality of the pork is top notch! I had the Greece scramble and they were gracious enough to swap out the olives for mushrooms. The eggs were cooked properly which is a rare nowadays. Most places over cook eggs and they're dry and crumbly. These eggs were fluffy and full of flavor. The homemade wheat bread was thick and crunchy, a great accompaniment to my scramble! On a side note, we loved the coffee so much we picked some up on our way out of town...Evans Brothers coffee!! read more

I had steak and eggs which will go down as the worst breakfast steak I have ever eaten. This review is for their dinners only. I hear the have great breakfasts, and the staff has always been friendly, but I've been there for dinner several times now and I've never had a good meal. It's always been just basic, like a quick meal I would do on a Tuesday night. Everyone I know has had the same experience. The last time I went for music, I decided to give their dinner one more try, but their eggplant Parmesan was almost uneatable. The person next to me ordered the same and agreed. But they must have a group of old local followers because I don't think they're hurting for business. First time to Di Luna's and was extemely disappointed. My wife and I went there for lunch and she had a sandwich and I had a steak salad. The server recommended the lamb stew and we both added a cup to our meals. *DO NOT ORDER THE lamb stew if you actually want something that tastes like lamb. It was basically a CARROT puree with pototoes and we couldn't find a hint of any actual lamb. We both only took one bite and the server didn't even ask us if there was a problem with it. (should have noticed the untouched stew when the check came). The salad was okay except for that it said it came with bread but was not on my plate when served to me and the Havarti sandwich was small and marginal at best. We were also overcharged on multiple items when the check came. The menu sounded great but did not reflect the actual service or product. We will not be going back! read more

First time at Di Luna's, busy weekend crowd, ordered Eggs Benedict with hash browns. They were stingy with the hollandaise sauce, the eggs were over cooked, I cut into them and the yoke resembled a hard cheddar cheese. The hash browns were brown on the outside but mushy and raw on the inside. I asked for some extra sauce and they did bring it which helped. The ham on the eggs was good. A little less folk music and more cooking lessons may be in order here. Maybe it was just a bad day. so will try again sometime to give them a chance read more
