We were excited to try Di Zucchero because we were craving pizza, and after hearing great things about their brick oven pizzas, it was at the top of our list. Unfortunately, we weren't able to place an order. We tried calling several times, but no one answered the phone. It's possible the phone number or business hours listed online weren't up to date, so we weren't sure if they were open. Since we couldn't get through, we ended up ordering pizza from somewhere else instead. We were definitely disappointed because the pizzas looked delicious, and we were really looking forward to trying them. Hopefully, we'll have better luck the next time we're in Puerto Rico--I still have this place on my list and would love to update my review after finally getting to try their food. read more

We had a really nice dinner here although it was a last minute walk in. The service was excellent -- our waitress was attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving smoothly throughout the meal. One thing I appreciated was the drink menu. They have a surprisingly good selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. I ordered the zero-proof mango daiquiri, and honestly, it was incredible. Easily one of the best NA cocktails I've had in a while. My friend ordered an Aperol Spritz, which unfortunately fell a little flat by comparison. For appetizers, we shared the sampler basket. The absolute standouts were the fish empanadas and the crab croquettes. Both were packed with flavor and easily the best things we ate all night. For the main course, he ordered the tuna. It was good, but a bit overcooked for our taste. If you're coming here, see if you can snag a table upstairs. The space overlooks the Marriott and has a tropical, open-air vibe that feels very San Juan and really adds to the experience. Overall, I'd describe the food as good, with a few standout dishes (seriously, order the fish empanadas). I stopped in to have a drink and ended up ordering the fried mozzarella. I was by myself and the portion was so large that I shared some with my neighbors at the bar. They were so delicious but it can really be shared with 3-4 people! Although I forgot her name, the bartender provided excellent service. There was a water issue in the area that caused the bathrooms to be out of service. I would have stayed longer and drank more had their been bathrooms. read more

We went here with a group and sat at the upstairs outdoor patio. Our server was excellent and the pizza was amazing. They were a bit crowded so we had a bit of a wait for a table but to the server's credit she didn't rush us. I got the vegetarian pizza and all the veggies were super fresh tasting and there were a lot of them on the pizza, no skimping here! The flavor was good and the crust was just the right amount of crispy and chewy. We had a real nice time here . The empanadas were all homemade and stuffed with grouper and absolutely delicious. My wife had a salad and I ordered pizza also. The pizza was good would've preferred slightly more cooking if the bottom of it , but seasoning and cheese were very good . Menu/timing is a little confusing. We arrived around 12:20, and were told it was breakfast/brunch only until 1:00, but we really wanted pizza. They let us order about 20 before 1. This place is a great place for a family pizza night. Great pizza options. We have been here twice and both times we ordered the hot honey pepperoni pizza and obviously it's great. The service is great because the staff is always smiling and so polite plus our wait times are not long at all. Kryzia the bartender has the most amazing personality and loves her job. We arrive early into PR & after settling into our hotel we ventured out for some food. Since it was so early not much yet opened after looking around this place both convenient & opened earlier than the rest in the area. Drinks to start , waiter suggested, Guanaco which is supposed to be more traditional, it was good, nice & strong for a first morning drink but it did the trick. On the food we got of the brunch menu , I had a Mallorca sandwich , hubby had the Chicken & eggs. The Mallorca sandwich was great, nice tasting chicken very combo w the sweet potato fries. First night with our full group of 8 in PR. Looking for something quick but tasty. Di Zucchero exceeded expectations in my opinion. Places like this are usually just beach front spots with mediocre food but was pretty delicious. Pizza was great and the wings as well! Ordered the hot honey and also a spinach pizza. Wasn't too costly either for about 6 pizzas and a couple orders of wings. Would recommend for a quick bite if in the area. Service was great as well! Walking distance from our hotel, there are several little spots and this one has a nice outdoor seating area and I was craving pizza, so happy to have stumbled upon this great spot! The potatoes were also amazing & cooked to perfection ! They were definitely fresh potatoes, not from the freezer. They were soft, and seasoned well, just how i like it. Our food did take a while to receive, but it made sense because our food was cooked to perfection! Our server was amazing! He was super nice, attentive && he has one of the best customer services I've had out here in Puerto Rico. I stumbled on this place and was surprised after to find that it only had 3.5 stars because I had a great experience. My server was such a sweetie - very attentive and fast. I sat outside and ordered a pina colada and a pepperoni pizza. The pizza menu is large with fairly inventive options. Prices range from $12 to $17 or so for a small pizza - big for an individual but would be small to split. The pina colada was good but not super strong. The pizza, however, was delicious - being that I'm from NYC my standards are pretty high and it was just a good pizza, no doubt about it. Hot, greasy, and flavorful. Very simple but it hit the spot. At one point a strong gust of wind blew over my drink and they replaced it without me asking and were so kind and understanding. Great service all around. Glad I checked it out! read more

I had no idea that the 2 restaurants on top of this place are all 1 chain so each restaurant offers menus for the others. She couldn't even explain that well. The food was not good at all. The tostados had no flavor. Fish tacos were too salty. Mofangos had no taste. Especially after you eat at smaller, more authentic restaurants and just want to have a nice sit down dinner but with good food. The menu is so americanized. Cocktail menu is not authentic either. The chef messed up our order for a single pizza pie and then proceeded to get upset when my husband asked where was our pizza as the table next to us got their food yet they had ordered 1/2 hour after us. She then asked if we still wanted the pizza - after sitting there for over 1 hour. The manager comes with the pizza In the meantime and she tells him that my husband was yelling at her. Not true at all as I was there. English is an obvious barrier. The manager then tells us he refuses to serve us as he believes we are yelling at his staff. Even while I was trying to talk to him he tells my husband to leave- not even giving us a chance to talk - I thought he was going to hit my husband the way he came at him. Felt physically threatened by the manager. Would never recommend this place to anyone as the staff and manager are this way. I gave a 1 star cause could not give a zero star. read more

The service was truly fantastic and our server was so kind and welcoming and helpful. I tried a non alcoholic beer which was so amazing (Ceria) I definitely recommend. My sister and I got the vegan la palomita pizza and it was so good. $23. It had a lot of veg (mushrooms, onions, spinach, tomatoes) really so crunchy and tasty. It is about the size of a personal pizza maybe a little bigger. Maybe normal pricing for the area. Regardless I was just so happy to have a vegan option. This was the first spot I ate at when landing in PR! When arriving, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who gave us the menus to look at. Once we made our decision, she seated us. I had to start off with a drink. The waitress gave me a couple of suggestions and chose the Femme de la Nuit which has New Amsterdam vodka, Cointreau, freshly squeezed lime juice, an infusion of red wine, strawberries and blackberries. The waitress suggested to sip the drink and not stir it so I could get the red wine taste at the top and the sour notes at the bottom. SO GOOD! For food we ordered tostones, a Caesar salad, wings and waffles. The Caesar salad was sooo good i'm thinking about it right now. Tostones were good too. My boyfriends said his wings were good but the waffle was a little too thick for his liking. Overall we were satisfied with everything especially the lovely waitress. If I wrote this review when we visited last month, it would read very differently. Our first visit was amazing. Party of 11, sat quickly and ordered 5 pizzas, 2 salads, mozzarella sticks, and pasta with pesto. Everything was delicious! Cooked and seasoned well, came out at a perfect temperature ready to be eaten. We left raving about our dinner (coming from a table of NYers, that says a lot!) We just went back this past weekend and it was very disappointing. Service was apathetic and exceptionally slow. Food took a long time to come out and was borderline cold. The salad came out last, after we asked about it. The pasta pesto was still the favorite, though. Torn on whether we'll be back, but the location is great, the inside is very cozy and cutely decorated (lots of beer decor). Maybe it was just an off night. read more
