I ordered the bacon panini which was good but in my own personal opinion, I felt that it had too much cheese. It was a bit overwhelming and felt too greasy/heavy. I also felt that it was lacking egg. Used to be a good spot but last time coming in here was such an unpleasant experience. As soon as I walk in another customer looking impatient asks the girl at the counter how much longer it'll take for her sandwich. Then as I walk up to the counter I have to force eye contact with the worker and say "hi". There was an older man standing next to her and they were talking. Instead of taking my order, they continued to talk about sweeping the floors and refilling the cups. I stood there awkwardly for about 3 minutes before the two turned around and walked to the back. Immediately I walked out of the restaurant and most likely will not return. It's sad because this place used to have very friendly workers and I loved coming here. But not anymore. It seems the workers think they don't need good customer service anymore. Good luck staying in business with that attitude. read more

Picked something off the menu because I thought I had to. MIEL Y CANELA LATTE ($4.75) - this is a honey and cinnamon latte. They executed very well. The beans were smooth. The honey and cinnamon ratio were balanced in flavor. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BUT let's speak on that customer service. They are friendly and all but who they fooling?! So they do have the mazapan latte but that menu is hidden and logistically placed in a very weird location and SHOULD be placed where customer can see it right away. While the barista was steaming and waiting for the espresso shot to be made, I had stopped him because I wanted to change my order to a Mazapan Latte Me: "wait. Did you make it already?" Barista: "yes" ** LIES ** Who is he fooling? I see the milk being steamed and the shot still being made. Didn't have the audacity to see what I, the customer, needed. Also, didn't have to bluff either. Several minutes later he pours in the shot and milk in the cup and gives it to me. I took it and let it be. I've been here a few times and will continue to come! Dia Del is a Mexican inspired cafe with Mexican inspired menu items. The decor is so cute and homey, and the owner Tony is the best! I ordered the Miel y Canela Latte (Honey & Cinnamon) and it's definitely my favorite from here. If you can, try it with oat milk! I also got a Butter Sugared Croissant and it tastes like the type of pastry your mom would warm up and give you after coming home from a bad day at school. Parking is never a struggle if you drive around for a minute or two. The main street where the cafe is located has 2 hour limit parking, but I drive into the neighborhood either to the left or right for parking that isn't limited. I usually can find a spot easily, especially on a weekday in the middle of the day. Totally remote work friendly too! When you first walk in, it might seem like the outlets aren't accessible but there's always some hiding around. I sat outside and charged my laptop by reaching through the window to an outlet inside of the cafe. If you're in the North Park area and need some coffee, you will not regret coming here!! read more
