I love this place! Honestly, some of the best coffeeshop breakfast food in town, and everyone is so nice. My faves are the breakfast tacos and the breakfast sando. The tables outside are perfect to hang out at, and it's such a vibe on a nice San Diego day. The drinks are yummy & creative. They always have fun seasonal options (and good tea options for the non-coffee drinkers). There's a winter latte with cardamom that's to die for right now. Izzy, the owner is the kindest and you can tell he's super involved with making sure things are running smoothly. This place has such a great community feel and the weekend markets they host are a cool switch up from the normal vibe. I had been here before a while back and saw the place resurface on TikTok by someone and unfortunately not sure how I got influence because when I got there and ordered I remembered why I didn't go back. Great spot with really friendly baristas. My soyrizo burrito was delicious. My chai latte was good too although I wish they would try making their our house made concentrate. It would take this place to the next level. There's have a small amount of indoor seating and some picnic tables outside. I loved the designs on their cups and building. Mystic Mocha is a neighborhood hole in the wall with the cutest outdoor patio! They have a very kind staff that is always down for a chat and remembers their regulars. I'll usually stop in on a Thursday or Friday to get some work done and find myself sitting there for hours. The coffee menu has INSANE variety, and I love their Irish coffee. This morning I snuck in for a breakfast burrito since I've been dying to try it. The music was bumping and vibes were good. My burrito was a little dry, but nothing that some hot sauce couldn't fix. I would definitely get it again! The outdoor seating area has a few different options, levels, shady/sunny spots for everybody. It's a great meeting spot and parking is usually pretty simple. What a great find! I was playing tourist with a friend of mine who used to live here, and we were driving around remembering all the places that we used to get drunk at...some that have changed hands, and alas, some that have closed. We needed a caffeine fix. Searched Yelp and found our way to the land of Mystic... Great little spot! Inside is cozy, but there are plenty of outside seats; picnic tables and some small two tops. Great place to come and enjoy a morning or late afternoon...you can even bring your pups! Friendly greeting when I walked in. Ordered an latte and a John Wick (my favorite character) and the irony, honey and lavender latte...LOL! Both iced. We didn't have to wait long. That John Wick was delicious! The calming of lavender and sweetness of honey....LOL! There were a few people sitting outside, and people coming in to get coffee to go. Cake was at ease and likes watching things. Came here with friends on Sunday and it was packed. The worker was kind and they had a large menu of specialty drinks with fun names. I was going to get the hazelnut + banana aka Valkyrie but then I saw they had lavender honey latte. I went with that, they call it John Wick, I ordered it iced with regular milk-- $7. I was waiting for my name to be called, but it was hard to hear. I'm unsure how long it was sitting at the bar for & so, the drink was a bit light. I wonder how many shots they used in this size cup (it looked like a 16 oz). I think with another shot added it would be better. I don't think they make their own syrup, it's .75 cents more than other coffee shops. Not a super big deal if you're getting quality, but it wasn't a strong latte so I was a little sad. I'll order a different drink next time! There's a few inside seating and several outdoor tables. There's a little library posted nearby as well. And a bathroom, if you need it. I ordered a chai latte here, and it was solid with a good balance of spices and tea flavor. The bartender was excellent and and skilled. They did the best foam of the oat milk I've ever had!! A nice perk was that milk substitutes are free, which I always appreciate. Parking is mainly street since it's located in an interesting intersection, but I usually never have issues finding a spot nearby. Izzy is the man! This cafe is one of those hidden gems with a super chill vibe with lots of murals and plants everywhere. Great spot for brunch with the family, their Chilaquiles are highly recommended. Lots of drink options for everyone, great chance to try something new. Decided to try this coffee shop while in the area. After finding parking fairly quickly we went in and order a John Whick (honey+lavender latte) and the Valkyerie (banana + hazelnut latte). The JW was tasty, but I did think the honey and lavender were a bit subtle; whereas, with the Valkyerie the banana flavor was strong but definitely tasted of artificial syrup which isn't to my taste. For the space and service itself, since it wasn't very busy we got our drinks within minutes and sat down on one of the benches outside to enjoy our drinks. EXCELLENT beans and also, as one of the cheaper things on their breakfast menu, it's very filling and very good. The people who work there are also really chill. I recently went on a very busy Saturday, so they were a little overwhelmed and initially forgot to put in my food order. Despite this, when they found out, they immediately started working on it and offered me a free drink card as an apology. They take accountability and approach things with kindness!
