This place sucks, i fixed my cracked screen here and a week later the screen started to come off a little so i went back and they re glued it for me, and so i leave thinking its fixed, a couple days later the whole half of my screen is UNGLUED hanging off!! I've been using their repair services for ten years and fortunately very infrequently but LA is blessed to have Dialnet on Melrose. When my HTC One M9 could not be started up I feared it had given up the ghost but it turned out to be a "Corruption Code Error" and Peter had it working fully charged within 2 hours. I paid the $85.00 and bought the team a big multi topping pizza from the Snake Pit next door. It was a miracle..... Very happy with the work and prices. I replaced the glass and battery on my iphone for 10$ less than Wireless Waves (my old phone repair shop also nearby on Melrose) wanted for just the glass repair. It took about 20 minutes and they did it while I waited and watched. They told me it would take 30 minutes so it seemed very fast. They were very busy even though they just opened. I was hoping my phone never left my sight, because I am very protective of my privacy (i.e. photo library) and hate surrendering the phone to anyone. They did take it out back, out of sight, for about 90 seconds but I got the impression I could trust these guys so I didn't worry about that too much. Great service at great prices, it is no surprise they are busy all day long. Highly recommend. read more

Very organized and experienced technicians. If you need to claim with insurance and with high deductible costs, just take your phone to them and they will fix it for you for less than the deductible AND you get to keep your data on the phone in most cases too. The price of 16 Gb memory card for my Samsung Galaxy was 3 times the price at T-Mobile. Definitely referring them more business. All the guys and gal working there are nice and knowledgeable. Update: I, myself, ruined my beloved iPhone 5s, by tossing it in my lunch bag along with a leaky water bottle. The water damage ruined my head board, err... hard drive. I could see I still had some data that , with prayer & a gluten-free diet, just might be retrievable. I never, ever take iPhone retrievable advice from any dude or dudette in a storefront slap-dash business that mostly sells phone cards for calling Antigua, Guatemala. After crying a lot over my loss, I hightailed through Hollywood & West Hollywood from my school in Echo Park, right over to Sean, Love, & Peter @ Dialnet. The traffic & parking around the Melrose District is horrific. Why the heck is there a comic book shop & a tofu cafe on Melrose? Sean, the tech guru in this shop, investigated the ruined Iphone thoroughly. Found nothing but a burnt out master drive. I asked to see some refurbished iPhones. Peter, a soft-spoken, but focused tech owner, gave me a discount on an unlocked 5s, lectured me about storing too many photos on the phone. Apparently, there's this thing called the Cloud, where I should have transferred data, but, of course, fearing everything new tech, I ignored & avoided this Cloud. Peter was able to retrieve all my data, including my fabulous party photos from the Tam 'o Shanter. Thank you, Peter, for adding in an Otter case. New phone, same data, new me. Never considered taking my water logged 5s elsewhere. Don't believe the negative reviews. Dialnet delivers. read more

Excellent service!!! I would recommend this place to anyone. I dropped my phone off just before closing and it was ready the next day as promised. I overheard a conversation with one of the guys and a customer...basically the customer had an IPHONE with issues and ask how much it cost to just replace it...he said $650.00 but it was better to purchase through ATT it would be much cheaper provided you qualified for an upgrade. I have a Palm Centro and one day I was in the bank and it started trying to sync with something and then just died. I was devasted because my grandmother just passed away and I had some of my favorite pictures of her on there. I took it to several different places and no one could fix it. This shop was my last hope. They not only were able to get the pictures out and put them on a disk for me, they also fixed my phone and only charged me $25. God bless David and the Dialnet team! I'm not a religious person, but I was praying that my Google Nexus 5 would not have to be replaced after going into a crazy restart loop. These guys were great. I got fast service and they took care of me. I went to get my broken screen replaced. I wound up coming back the next day because it seemed like the screen was warped or something. They took a look at it and fixed it for no charge. shattered the screen on my phone to hell. Went here to have it replaced yesterday after my coworker said this place was the spot. Over all the service was good. Prices weren't any cheaper than anywhere i asked around to but for $80 that's still cheaper than having my whole phone replaced with my verizon insurance. 4 stars only because he charged my coworker $20 less for the same problem on the same phone and after reading the other reviews i see that he also charged many other people less. I guess they just charge you whatever they feel like at the time or maybe i just need to practice my haggling skills. None the less $80 and an hour later my phone looked new again. read more

Went here for an accessory. Customer service was excellent. The staff were all very friendly. There were quite a few people in there, but they were able to get to everyone quickly. I can't speak yet for the repairs. I have to have my phone repaired soon so I will update my review then. But I would recommend, as everyone seemed satisfied that walked out. The accessory was clearly overpriced, hence take away one star. It was clearly a cheap accessory made in China, although I'm not knocking China made products, as everything is made there :), but I looked it up on Ebay when I got back and it was selling at an average of $9.99 and I paid $39.00. :( read more

Dialnet is fantastic! I think this must be a difficult business to be in, because I went to another phone fix store and my phone came back to me worse than when I came in. So I went to the Verizon store and they suggested Dialnet. This turned out to be a fantastic tip, because the dude at Dialnet was able to fix the cracked camera glass on my Galaxy S3 in 20 minutes. My only complaint is that I keep returning as a loyal customer for the same problem and they keep re-charging me full price (they have a 30 day coverage policy but it never happens within that time)...give a girl with a broken phone a break once and a while! read more
