Thank goodness for Reveal Diagnostics. They have several different sites. Mica from the diagnostics team was super helpful in scheduling the exam and coordinating with my ENT. The owner was overseeing the scan because it was not a routine dental scan. A major issue was my titanium caps interfering with the imaging on regular CAT scan. This is where the technician Makayla was able to do what other major institutions which shall go unnamed came in. With the research grade scanner she was able to adjust conditions to virtually eliminate the interference and image the area of interest in a phenomenal way, so I really owe all of them a huge thanks. They corresponded with the medical center and got them the imaging to them very very quickly. The scan is rendered into 3 dimensions that the doctor can look at from all angles. This was just a single picture taken at the imaging facility . I have the entire scan with a viewer that I can see the entire study from. 5 stars to the max!

I thought it might be associated with a previous and ongoing shoulder injury. So was told by the good doctor it would probably take 2 or more weeks to get in. I got in in 4 days on Easter Sunday no less. Yes, MRI appointment on Easter. I took it. I noticed one of my images on the screen on my way out and upon looking at it real quick I noticed my left side is the side jacked up with potential pinched nerves. Not my right. A few days later a massive rash appeared on my arm and I was diagnosed with shingles that attacked the nerve. Not jacked up shoulder. Not a pinched nerve. But shingles. So appointment scheduling was great. Wait time once there was quick. MRI took as long as necessary. Staff was nice. There were no wheel chairs or other metallic stuff to join me in the MRI tube so that was nice. Waited about 10 minutes for a DVD of the results and out of there. Parking was close.

I've always been able get an appointment within a reasonable time. I've never had a long wait, even for a walk-in x-ray. The front desk people are knowledgeable, welcoming, patient and efficient. For today's mammogram I was in and out in 20 minutes!

I told him five times that my leg was paralyzed and not once did he acknowledge that I had spoken. What planet is this man from? When someone has a disability, ESPECIALLY in healthcare, you say you're sorry to hear that, and ask how you can help them. At one point, I couldn't get my leg into the position needed, (because it's paralyzed) and he actually YELLED AT ME!!! I haven't been screamed at like that in years. It was appalling. I was shaking all over. I reported the incident to the young gal at the X-ray desk, who was very nice, and she was shocked. The three people in the waiting room were all men and they were scandalized to hear that a disabled lady with paralysis had been yelled at. The nice desk girl gave me his supervisor's name: Jean Mufty. I called her and at first she defended him, saying he had a hearing problem. I said this was nothing to do with hearing loss. Then, she switched tacks and apologized. But she never once asked for my phone number so she didn't care enough to report back to me. In fact she she kept saying that he wasn't normally at this location as though that made a difference! As a disabled person, I am APPALLED that Alta Bates/Summit would employ such a man. What if I had depression or was fighting cancer? His yelling at me might have put me over the edge! HOW can a healthcare company employ such a person and HOW can he be allowed to talk to a disabled patient this way? If you have complaints about the staff here, the supervisor is: Jean Mufty, Manager, Outpatient Imaging 510-610-1478.

I just wanted to take the time to thank the staff of 4 North East for taking such good care of me…read moreduring my recent 5 day stay and the start of 2026 in the ER and later admitted at Alta Bates Medical with a final diagnosis of the rhinovirus which left behind some nasties that got into my lungs and caused a mild case of pneumonia. This was a first for a lot of things for me there... My first time as an adult being admitted into the hospital for something for myself. A first time having my blood ever drawn as an adult let alone having IV's put in me, which were terrifying and excruciatingly painful, but thank God for the nursing staff who were so patient with me and understood my fear of needles! I also had to have my blood drawn regularly to check my white blood cell counts, which I really hated, but the nurses were very kind and made me laugh. Likewise, I had a really good physician, Dr. Shah who provided me with detailed information and even let me look at my brain after doing a CT scan, which I thought was really interesting and very cool. In addition, the RT staff came in regularly to give me my breathing treatments who are so nice to me and explained how giving me these treatments would help me breathe. I couldn't have done it without them as for the food... Well it is Hospital food after all, but I did have the midnight hook up as my grave shift Nurse did provide me with some yummy Jell-O and a low sodium turkey sandwich now again when I got hungry. This could've been a lot scarier for me had it not been for the compassion and kindness I received from my healthcare providers. Thanks again for helping me to feel better and to get well.! You are greatly appreciated!

The procedure/surgery was performed in early May and I have completed my 3 month blanking period and just saw him in follow-up. I couldn't be more pleased that I am lucky enough to have him as my electro-cardiologist. While I am sure there are many very capable electro-cardiologists out there, Dr. Kang is, by reputation and personal experience, a cut above. What he does is part science and part art - you either got it or you don't and he's got it. I am hopeful that my AFib is gone for good but I am grateful for the time and effort he put into my surgery and it's so far favorably outcome. He is also a good communicator and actually follows his patients. It certainly helps that he has such high caliber PAs at his group. Messages through the Sutter app are promptly responded to with the responses typically complete and informative. I have had office visits with just a PA and leave feeling like I saw a Cardiologist such is the caliber and training of the PA staff there. Even the medical assistants are top notch. Frankly, you can't go wrong with any of the cardiologists at this group right across the street from Summit Alta Bates Hospital in Oakland but they have a couple of real stars in Dr. Kang and my regular cardiologist, Dr. Johnson. Prior review: I was recently referred to Dr. Kang by my cardiologist for an ablation that is upcoming in May. I have only praise for his clear and forthcoming responses and guidance in my two pre-surgical office visits. He is engaging, empathetic and clearly an expert in his field - every one of my Doctors speaks glowingly of him as well. I feel fortunate to have managed to be one of his patients.
