The service department claimed the brakes on my mom's car were bad and needed replaced..There were no pictures other then they were bad. I questioned this service tech and he stood behind that. I have been contacted multiple times by this dealership with repeated attempts to lure me in to purchase a vehicle. Unfortunately, every single time I show up, there is always some excuse as to why they "cannot" sell the vehicle without mandatory add-ons such as a $995 ceramic coating, Apex security system, extended warranty, and other unnecessary extras I specifically stated I did not want. This has been a constant issue with this dealership -- high-pressure sales tactics and forcing add-ons onto customers. Extremely unprofessional and a complete waste of time. In California, it is illegal for a dealership to deceptively claim that non-factory add-ons are "mandatory" or required in order to purchase a vehicle. Consumers should be aware of these practices before wasting their time. To make matters worse, I'm still waiting nearly 5 years later for them to install the "security system" they charged me approximately $1,500 for on a previous purchase. Every time I follow up, I get the same runaround about bringing paperwork back in, despite the same salesman continuing to contact me and pretend we're friends whenever they want another sale. Dropped my truck off for a flow control Valve check engine light, it was covered under the extended warranty which took 2 days for approval after sitting there being checked for 3 days, They discovered the motor mounts were broken as well and of course a DEALER doesn't have the parts and had to order them with a 5 day lead time so they removed the cab of truck and replaced the flow Control valve and the motor mounts during the replacement process of the cab the side steps stopped working which added days, and power steering didn't work added another day, went to Pick up truck and another issue arose with when putting the cab back on they broke the dipstick tube and it was leaking oil bad and so it sat for another 5 days, and of course DEALER DIDNT HAVE PART AGAIN, during our inspection of truck we found 2 dents in the drivers door jam that was not there when it was dropped Off but, I have no photos of PROOF so they say its not their fault and THEY SAY not their problem but I know it was from when they took the Cab off truck frame, and finally picked it up after being at this crappy service department for 24 total days It was excuse after excuse on what was happening. Was told about they will make it up to me for it taking so long, LIE, truck was filthy, Didn't clean it at all left parts inside cab on floor with trash inside, and it was fn Empty on fuel. My name is Nick and I was having car issues my stabilizer light came on and I lost power. My transmission over heated and Cased me to loose power once my transmission cooled down the. I could proceed. I drove it to Diamond Chevrolet they charged me $280.00 to diagnose the problem the called me back 2 days later and said I need a New Transmission I new that was not right because I drove car to the Dealership. The Problem with my Transmission is what they call a Trans thermal cooling Valve which Diamond Chevrolet technician never checked. Diamond Chevrolet advised me it would be $8500.00 for a New Transmission and I purchased the Trans Cooloing Valve for $21.74 and I had it installed and now my vehicle runs great. This part goes out at around 80,000 miles and the Diamond Chevrolet could not Diagnose the problem. They just wanted to rip off the customer by selling the A New Transmission when the problem was a $21.74 dollar part I saved over $8,000 by not listening to what Diamond Chevrolet they take advantage of people and that's not right I do not recommend Diamond Chevrolet to anyone they are crooks like most dealerships. These people they call technicians they can't fix there own vehicles. they overcharge the customer and can't fix the problem. read more

My initial experience with Joe in the service department was awful. He was condescending, dismissive and disrespectful. I literally lost track of the number of time he "hon'd" me while setting me up for services that I may or may not have needed. I went in for an oil change and ultimately ended up with the oil change, spark plugs, transmission and radiator services. Joe assured me he'd communicate what was happening with my car and when it would be done. He also said that they closed at 5pm. I made sure he knew I needed my car that night as I needed to go to work that night. I never heard from Joe and at 4:30 I called to see what was happening. I left messages and called multiple times without ever getting a call back from Joe. I eventually spoke to someone who informed me they close at 6pm, not 5pm. After 5pm, I was finally able to speak to Joe and he informed me my car was now misfiring and they wanted to keep it overnight. I explained this was not possible. He stated the technician was next to him and they'd discuss and he'd call me back. At this point I got a ride to the dealership to speak to Joe directly. In the 20 mins it took me to get there, Joe did not call me back. It was 5:45 when I got to the dealership and still no new information from Joe. The technician was still figuring out what was wrong and Joe said it was grease in a coil and spark plugs so they were cleaning it out. A little after 6pm the technician came back up to the front and spoke to Joe. I went inside and Joe informed me my car was ready to go. At this point, he THEN STARTED working on my paperwork and by the time all was said and done it was 6:20 before I was finally out of the dealership. Absolute incompetence on the part of Joe. 0/5 stars for Joe. I drove my car to work that night and the next morning I wasn't able to drive my car home. It would start and then stall out. I ultimately had to have my car towed back to the dealership to be taken care of. The person I spoke to THIS time was Antonio and this was an entirely different experience. He LISTENED to me. He didn't dismiss what I said. He didn't "hun" me endlessly (or at all). He was NOTHING but respectful. He maintained communication with me regarding my car and how long it was taking. He didn't have me frantically trying to track him down for an update half an hour before they supposedly closed. After all was said and done, the technician inadvertently left a rag in my air filter housing box and did NOT replace the air filter. Thankfully it didn't get sucked into the engine and it was an easy enough thing to fix. Antonio was excellent and treated me the way I deserved to be treated. He made the situation right for me and he is the kind of person I would a want my daughter to interact with when the time comes for her to need car repairs. 5/5 stars for Antonio. Incidentally, in addition to Joes complete incompetence, he also blatantly lied to me. He told me that the service manager (Antonio) was helping the technician fix my car. I asked Antonio about this because he seemed completely unfamiliar with my car...he informed me he did NOT work the day before and was NOT helping the technician fix anything...and he is the only service manager. Again, 0/5 for Joe...5/5 for Antonio. read more

The service department has issues. I booked an appointment for 4 tires and an alignment for 8am. I showed up at 8am sharp and noticed my service advisor (I'll call him "E") was leaving in a car. Another advisor (I'll call him "J") came out promptly and greeted me. He asked me who my advisor was...I told him my advisor was E and he just left. J told me he'd inspect my vehicle and scan me in. He then had me wait for E to return. He sat at his desk and was busy on his cell phone. Apparently E was out on a food run and showed up 10 minutes later. Once E showed up with an arm load of food and drinks he said I was good to go and he would call me when the truck was done. If E didn't need me for anything why didn't J finish checking me in? Instead I had to stand there waiting for E to return from his food run. The 10 minutes was not a big deal...it was the idea of it all that bothered me. Fast forward to noon...I received a text that my truck was finished and ready to be picked up. When I showed up to pick up my truck E was gone (another food run???), so another advisor grabbed my bill. I noticed in the paperwork there were no numbers reflecting the adjustments made during the front end alignment. The advisor check on it, and it turned out the alignment was never completed, but I was getting charged for it!!!!! The advisor apologized and took the non-existent alignment off my bill. Never again will I have service done at Diamond!!!! read more

I recently brought my truck for an oil change and to address a coolant reservoir warning light on my dashboard. After dropping it off, I didn't hear anything for four days until I received a call saying the truck was ready for pickup. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I decided to inspect it. To my surprise, I noticed what appeared to be oil leaking from the newly replaced oil filter. I immediately brought it to the staff's attention, and they took the truck back into the shop--only to wipe the leaking oil off with a rag rather than actually addressing the issue. To make matters worse, less than an hour after leaving the dealership, the coolant warning light came back on, despite the invoice claiming that the reservoir and sensor had been replaced. This service cost an outrageous $1,100, and yet the original problems remain unresolved. The lack of quality and attention to detail is extremely frustrating, and I'm left questioning whether my vehicle was properly serviced at all. I expected far better from a professional service department. I hope others carefully consider this experience before bringing their vehicle here for service. read more

Finance department employees and managers are bunch of liars. It's been a year later and have yet to receive my refund for the extended warranty. Chris has not return my phone calls have been passed to other employees and never get a follow through. Undesirable Customer Support Like any other sales place, the people seem really nice, but the overall experience is yet to be desired and arguably dismissive. The sales manager, VJ, is a nice enough guy when you speak with him, but overall results are just that. I purchased a 2023 Canyon GMC in September 2023 ($50K). On Dec 12, I had to have the vehicle towed back to the dealership due to an electrical issue. The dealer stated that no loaners were available, and when asked, they were not able to drop my vehicle at my residence either when finished. I was able to find a ride and retrieve my vehicle on Dec 15. Ricky Ramirez (Service Tech) stated the radio was causing a parasitic draw and fried an electrical module. He stated they replaced the module and updated the software that allegedly fixed the root issue of the electrical failure. On Dec 26, my vehicle suffered another electrical issue, which resulted in it being towed back to the dealership. I was told by Ricky Ramirez again that no loaner vehicle was available, but they could arrange for me to rent a car at Hertz at my expense up front, and they would "cut me a check in a day or two" after I submitted the receipt. Ricky also told me that only one electrical technician supported the entire facility and was on vacation until Jan 2. So in short, my vehicle will be sitting for a week before anyone can even look at it. CONCERNS: I was under the impression that any mechanic working at a dealership was certified to look at any vehicle at any level and not just need to be a specialist as an electric tech. Curious to know why only one technician is qualified to work on the electrical systems for an entire dealership. Given the fact there's only one technician supporting the entire facility and new cars are moving more into electrical dependency, supports the fact that management is again at fault for not having the foresight for maintaining good operational continuity and customer support. The fact that my contract includes a loaner in it is because new vehicles are not supposed to be breaking down. But when they do, you don't leave your customers hanging without a vehicle after spending good money on it. Further more the fact they don't have a loaner available brings into question either they don't have any or there are so many vehicles under warranty that are being repaired, they're unable to sustain customer support. Again supporting the failure of management foresight. SUMMARY: The level of customer interaction from Ricky and VJ were great. I know Ricky and VJ do their best, however, the Management business model for operational support is highly questionable, and with that the incompetence level with management is arguably high. After opening a case with GM Corporate and the Better Business Bureau, I hope for a practical and complete resolution. Lastly, given the multiple poor reviews, I hope people read these before giving any business to Diamond Chevrolet. Jan 3, 2024 - UPDATE I was contacted by Ricky stating they have changed their relationship with Hertz and will allow me to rent a vehicle without having to front any money. Bad news is they still don't know what's wrong with the Canyon on what caused the electrical failure. Jan 12, 2024 - Update I was able to retrieve my vehicle after being in the shop since December 26th. The service team did wash and topped me off with fuel. The invoice had a small discrepancy where the mileage was missing 30 miles. Meaning when I turned it in the mileage read 3990. When I went to pick up the vehicle the invoice stated 4026, but the odometer read 4057. I had the young lady in the service dept handling the paperwork change it, but she was only able to whiteout the old and hand enter the correct numbers. She was also kind enough to initial and date it. The concern regarding this, is invoice does not account for all 60 miles in the notes, but at least they filled it up with gas before giving it back. I'll take the small victories where I can get them at this point. read more
