Stay away. This is the typical dealership every one is afraid of. Bad deals, long wait times, terrible service department. When we initially inquired about leasing our cx-30 they gave us a price. Of course we should have known that was going to change as soon as we got in the door and we were right. We ended up spending an entire day there going back and forth over numbers. About a year and a half later my younger brother needed a car so I inquired about possibly doing a lease swap. They went back and forth with me telling me they needed to do inspections and paperwork and their were fees and in the end to transfer the lease over to my brother would cost more that when the car was brand new . For the price they quoted it would have been better to buy another car which is what their goal was. We inquired with Mazda financial and was given what would be our buyout but this dealership tacks on a bunch of other fees to squeeze you dry. We have about a year left on the lease our car has only 7000 miles on it which is brand new and we went to carmax to get rid of it. This dealership did the same and quoted an even higher buyout. Each time we've tried to upgrade they make false promises and then flip it with an astronomical monthly payment and down payment. The service department is even worse. Forget about scheduling an appointment. Even with an appointment you end up spending half the day there waiting for your free oil change that was included with the purchase. I finally used the two oil changes you get that are included and went to another shop to have the service done and the mechanic there pulled in our car and then quickly brought us outside before performing the work to ask us if we've had any engine work done. I asked why and he pointed and showed me that a clip on our coil pack on the spark plugs was broken and taped back together. This would be under warranty so I don't know why riverside Mazda wouldn't fix it while it was at their shop unless they're really that careless or dishonest. Last time, Christmas lights on dash, wouldn't start. AAA tow, they told me "after market installation ". $700, I bought it off their lot, was a loaner car, 4k miles. I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with the customer service team at the service department regarding my spider-cracked screen. This is the second time in just two years that I've experienced this exact issue, and the handling by the service team (particularly Wendy) was just as difficult as the first time. Despite this being a recurring problem--serious enough to have sparked a class action lawsuit--I was met with resistance and unhelpful responses. Instead of assisting or acknowledging the repeated defect, the process was made unnecessarily hard, leaving me feeling dissatisfied and unsupported. This experience has completely eroded my trust in both the product and the service department. I sincerely hope the company addresses these ongoing quality and customer service issues, as no customer should have to go through this twice for the same defect. I work a deal with Shawn over the phone and get the Out-the-door price that he confirmed with his manager - ALL IN WRITING. I get passed over to Jeremy, another salesman, and he again confirms with me that the deal is confirmed. However, when I'm on the way to the dealership, all the sudden Jeremy is on a delivery and I'm told to talk to Don/Dom Then when I go to pay the $32.7k and pick up the car, miraculously, Don/Dom has never heard of me and slaps me with over $37k for the final bill. I show him the writing confirming $32.7k from his employee, yet he doesn't appear to understand federal or state law. I get Jermey on speaker phone and he even says to Don/Dom that he spoke with him earlier and he approved it, yet this stereotypical and self-destructive sales manager flat out denies him. The nerve on this man is incredible because as we're walking out and calling him out on his BS he wants to throw out $33.7k. To the owner, Richard, managers like Don/Dom ruin your reputation and make people HATE CAR DEALERSHIPS. Technician Juan C. Hernandez was very dishonest and rude during my visit. He claimed my vehicle was running with no oil or extremely low oil. Immediately after leaving, I drove to Oil Changers down the street, and they informed me this was false my vehicle was fine, and they even topped it off for free until service recommendations is needed. I was genuinely caught off guard by how rude and dishonest Hernandez was. Service Advisor Salma Escobar also lacked attention to detail. She overlooked my previous service history and incorrectly claimed a service had not been completed -- something the manager later confirmed was completed. Recommendation: For honesty and proper service, I strongly recommend taking your vehicle to a different Mazda dealership. Please take precautions if choosing to visit this location. read more

Upon arriving at 9am on a Tuesday, I was asked whether I had an appointment. I explained that I did not and that I was only there for a quick, simple oil change. The initial response was hesitant, and after a brief pause I was directed to the workstation in the center where the check-in process began. I stepped aside and waited patiently until Salma, who was assisting at the end station, completed my check-in. During the process, I clearly pointed to the service menu and stated that I only wanted an oil change- no tire rotation and no additional services. I also asked a couple of routine questions since it was my first visit, including one about diagnostics and another about whether they offered a shuttle or rideshare service. Salma confirmed that they did and kindly arranged a ride for me. I left for work after being told the oil change would take approximately 3-4 hours. While at my computer, I located a coupon on the dealership's website for a discounted oil change (which I recommend customers check for specials before visiting any dealership). When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I presented the coupon. At that point, Salma informed me that the coupon could not be applied because she checked me in under a different promotion. This was frustrating because I had explicitly stated during check-in that I did NOT want a tire rotation or any additional services- only an oil change. Despite that clear request, I was told that the box i pointed to included the tire rotation, and my verbal request was essentially dismissed. As a result, I was charged for a service I specifically asked NOT to receive. This situation could have been easily avoided if my request had simply been acknowledged and documented correctly. Customers should not be forced to pay for services they clearly declined. If you choose to come here, I strongly recommend confirming exactly what is being entered on your service order-preferably in writing - even for something as straightforward as an oil change. This experience was unnecessary and disappointing. Service staff need to listen carefully to customer requests and respect them. When a customer clearly states what they want- and what they do NOT want - those instructions should be followed. read more

Originally had a great experience at Riverside Mazda working with Jeremy to lease my Mazda CX-90, but unfortunately, that changed once I received the final bill from Mazda Financial Services. I was charged for things that the dealership had specifically told me would be covered at the time of the lease. One major issue was the pull-ahead program. I was clearly told it would cover the remaining couple of payments on my old Mazda as long as the new lease was under the same household , which it was. Turns out, that wasn't the case at all. Now I'm stuck with charges I was led to believe would be taken care of. I've leased 16 Mazdas in a row, including two from this dealership, but this will be my last. It's unfortunate, because it's dealers like this that damage the brand's reputation. Watch out for this typical stealership!! At first, they showed us a used CX-5 that had an obvious engine issue and we quickly declined. Larry, the salesman, went the extra mile and found us very nice comp in the detailing bay. As we agreed, we would purchase this 2022 vehicle, we stayed late into the evening only to not be able to make a deal over $50. We showed them a comprobale CX-5 at a nearby dealership (Cardinale) on the Mazda website. They lied and said "that vehicle isn't even there, it sold". What they didn't know, is that we looked at that vehicle 10 minutes before our arrival. We departed and chose to look elsewhere and like clock work, received a call the next morning saying, we had a deal at our offered price. We planned to pick up the vehicle in that afternoon. About an hour later, a new call came in stating the numbers they were running last night, was for the 1st CX-5 we looked at, the busted one. NOT the one we drove and wanted. They then told us, they would have to raise the price for the one we all agreed upon the night before. At this point, we no longer trusted Riverside Mazda, 8330 Indiana Ave. Riverside CA, and instead of continuing to play their games, we decided to buy a brand new CX-5 at Capistrano Mazda the next day. This dealership won't honor the TrueCar price they email you unless you also purchase a bunch of add-on accessories. You only learn about this once you physically arrive at the dealership. Something I found weird was that during the test drive, the salesman started talking about how he doesn't see himself as an American and he said that I probably felt the same because I'm also a minority. I felt uncomfortable. He should really keep his personal/political views to himself during a car test drive. After the test drive and we went inside, the salesman had a credit application in his hand before even showing us the final price of the car. He seemed to get frustrated once I said I didn't want them to run my credit. In the end, I honestly didn't like the car, or their bait and switch tactics, so I left. I went to a different dealership that honored their TrueCar price without any add-ons. Our sales rep was friendly, attentive, and not pushy which is really nice when it comes to car shopping. Took the time to show us the car we were looking for, described the differences between all trims and answered any questions we had, his name was Larry. The reason I'm giving 2 stars is from the numbers they were presenting to me. They pushed that the aftermarket add-ons were non-negotiable which I knew was a lie because all add-ons are negotiable. We tried to fight that off but they weren't budging. The model we were looking at was the CX-50 which I've done lots of research on prior to stepping foot in a dealership. I made sure to research invoices of other folks who have purchased the car, meaning learning how much they paid after registration, license, etc fees. Max, this car should not cost more than $33k out the door (for the most basic trim, s select). I'm assuming who is the financial manager (can't remember his name but he was fairly young) personally came out to meet us and basically tell us we were expecting a non-reasonable price for the car and wished us luck on finding a deal like that. They were trying to sell me the car for about 35k. So we were unable to make business with their dealership. Fast forward a couple hours later, after a couple back and forth emails, I drove off with my brand new CX-50 from the dealership out in Fontana. Got the same model with roof racks included just under 33k. My recommendation when it comes to car shopping is do your shopping online! Get your deals via email with an internet sales manager. So I brought my car in to get the front rotors changed. They made me pay them an additional $50 to inspect the brakes before doing it. During this inspection, they "determined" that the rear rotors and brake pads also need to be replaced and it was going to be upwards of nearly $1000. So I said, screw you. I'll change it myself. I took the wheels off and measured the rotors. Both were 8.7mm thick. The minimum is 8.0 and when new they are 10mm. They were as smooth as a baby's bottom and the brake pads were super thick as well--neither needed to be replaced. They lied!! Do t go there. Dishonest and will try to steal your money. read more

Love the quality of the interior of the vehicle, you lean your elbow left against the doors arm bar and it's soft, you lean your elbow on the center console and it's soft. What a rip off. They tried to sell us a car, but they were very deceptive with hidden costs for after market items that were not disclosed. The additional cost brought the cost back up to the same amount as the MSRP. So, instead of getting a deal, it became a rip off. Then, after "seeing what they could do," the came back with a paper with $1,000 higher, and they used the excuse that they were going to include a 7-year service agreement that we said we didn't want in the first place. The third offer was even worse, so we walked out. What a waste of time with a dealership that is doing its best to take advantage of unwitting victims instead of selling cars honestly. We have found some reviews that mention a dealership with an honest salesperson that honors internet quotes. Do not go to this dealership.
