After months of trying to get a response, Patricia finally called us on 4/1/26 and assured us she would follow up by Friday, 4/3/26. Unfortunately, we have received nothing since. I have called, left multiple voicemails, and sent three emails with no response. I genuinely do not understand how a business can publicly respond to a review saying they are "looking into the situation," yet fail to provide even a simple update directly to the customer. At this point, I am asking again: what exactly are you "looking into"? Patricia already confirmed that we were charged for a service that should have been covered under warranty. In addition, your team improperly installed our exhaust pipe, which led to further damage and required a full replacement. We have documentation from another certified Chevrolet dealership supporting both of these claims. We are simply asking to be made whole. Please refund the $2,553.42 for warranty-covered repairs, along with the $1,373.40 in additional repairs caused by improper installation. If this is resolved promptly, we are more than willing to remove our negative reviews and move forward. However, continued lack of communication only reinforces our concerns. read more

Got a used 2022 Silverado. 6 days later, took it back to the service department. 6 days later, no communication, no update, no loaner. Spoke to the service advisor once after going in the second day of the truck being there. Left several messages, no calls back. Getting transferred back and forth from, ending on a line with no voicemail option so lucky for them it hangs up. I regret ever coming here. This whole experience sucks. had a very bad experience with Diamond Chevrolet and would not recommend their service department. Before bringing my vehicle in, I specifically called and asked how much the diagnostic would cost. I was told it would be about $280 and that after the diagnostic they would contact me with the repair cost so I could decide whether or not to continue. After keeping my vehicle for two days, Alan called me and suddenly said the diagnostic would cost $1,200. I immediately explained that this was not what I was told and will not authorize a $1,200 diagnostic. Instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally, he became upset and told me the car would be ready in about one hour. I showed up over an hour later and my car still was not ready. Because of this delay, I ended up being late to work. Nobody seemed to care about the inconvenience or wasted time. The whole experience felt misleading, unprofessional, and poorly handled from start to finish. Customers deserve honest pricing, accurate timelines, and better communication than this. read more

My 22 Traverse had an exhaust bracket issue which was covered under Chevy warranty. I called the morning of and was able to get an appointment that morning. I dropped off my car with Alan and he was a pleasure to work with. Made check in easy, kept in communication with me about my car, and was able to pick it up the next day. 1 Star - I will not be returning to this service department I reluctantly gave Diamond Chevrolet of Banning's service department a second chance after a poor experience over 1.5 years ago. I live in Beaumont, so Banning is convenient, and they were advertising an oil change special for Corvettes. Unfortunately, my second visit confirmed I should have trusted my first impression--this service department is unprofessional, unfriendly. The appointment: I booked online for 3:30. I arrived on time--no cars in line, no customers waiting, four service advisors chatting about personal things. I stood there unacknowledged until finally someone waved me off with a "one minute." Tyler, the advisor, eventually helped me but with zero professionalism--no eye contact, dismissive attitude, and made me feel like I was interrupting him. The pricing & coupon issue: When I told him I booked the online oil change special, he insisted I "needed the coupon" and wouldn't even look it up himself. After fumbling on my phone to show him, he finally accepted it but acted annoyed the entire time. The oil mistake: Almost three hours later, I was told my car was ready. To my surprise, they put in Dex1 oil instead of Mobil 1, which is what my Corvette has always used. Only when I questioned it did Tyler point to fine print on the special. He never mentioned it beforehand, and when I asked to speak with a manager, he literally turned in his chair and said, "He's busy." Only after I pushed did the service manager, Mike, finally step in. Mike at least listened, admitted the issue, and promised to swap the oil for Mobil 1 if I brought the car back. The follow-up: I returned at 7 a.m. the next morning. Again, I got Tyler. He seemed uninterested, barely recalled the situation, and then told me they were "out of Mobil 1" for my car. And if I wanted to wait while they go get the oil for my car. After another hour wait, they finally swapped it at no charge, which I appreciated--but the frustration, wasted time, and dismissive treatment far outweighed that small courtesy. Bottom line: From being ignored when I arrived, to dealing with rude and disengaged advisor, to having the wrong oil put in my Corvette yes I understand I am to blame as I should have read the small print but I also feel Tyler as the service advisor should have caught this. this was an exhausting and unprofessional experience from start to finish. Mike did the right thing in the end, but the fact that I had to fight to be treated with basic respect speaks volumes. I should have trusted my first experience and not returned. I will not be coming back to Diamond Chevrolet of Banning's service department again. read more

Very disappointing dealer. They load their cars up with every conceivable extra, paint protection, key protection, GPS, brake light BS, ETC., and you have no choice but to pay them the extra $. My car did NOT even have the $695 brake light extra installed on it. After calling 5 times to resolve the issue they just ghosted me. This dealer lacks integrity and is only interested in getting every dollar out of a one time deal. I'd never return to this dealer nor would I recommend this dealer. Their Dirty facility (Customer Lounge) and poor Customer service made us realize why the Coupon was needed to draw in New Customers. After this experience, we won't be going back. Updated Review: 11/12/2025 1-Star Rating still valid Took my CHEVROLET truck in for service. They declined to even look at the truck and informed me that they only service new vehicles. I even made an appointment online and they knew what year it was before I brought the truck in for service. Service advisor was rude and unhelpful. Three strikes. Will never do business with any of the Diamond dealerships again -- including for my 2023 Honda Ridgeline. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Second strike. Won't go back for a third. Brought my truck in for service. They gave me a $900 estimate for new distributor and coil. What they didn't know is that those components were replaced approximately 9 months prior. Problem was actually the ignition module. Bad diagnosis would have cost $900 more than necessary. I suspect that because it is an older truck, that Crest Chevrolet is more interested in selling me a new one than servicing the one I own. This is the second time the service department has shown a lack of interest in maintaining my truck. Fortunately, Tom Bell Chevrolet is not far away and, so far, their service department has been great and wants to help me keep my truck on the road. [Update: Tom Bell Chevrolet found the real problem right away - a $40 Ignition Control Module needed replacing. Service department- Should be no stars! Brought our truck in to check transmission. They said it needed a new one and it would take no more than 2 weeks to replace. We gave them the okay and it took more than 6 weeks for them to complete and had terrible communication the entire time. We would have taken it somewhere else if they would have been honest with us. After they started and were way beyond 2 weeks, they told us they were understaffed in the service dept and there was nothing they could do. And now less than a year later we are having trouble with a temp sensor in the new transmission that another Chevrolet dealer told us they should have replaced already when they installed the new transmission at this dealer. So now we're paying another dealer to replace the transmission temp sensor and all the labor to do that when it should have been done already per another Chevy service dept. And had that part wrecked our transmission the 3 year warranty we had would have been void because this part was not replaced, how convenient for these crooks! We paid a premium at this dealer to get a top notch job, and instead I should have taken it to another dealer or transmission shop and saved my money and gotten it done in a timely manner and gotten it done properly. We had been looking for a used car because we believed we would never be able to get financed for anything brand new, we've been driving a 2008 Honda Civic LX with 214,000 miles on it. it still runs, but it is getting old and it is ready to retire. So as they were working hard at getting us approved that car had fell through and so Timothy suggested why don't you try the 2025 Chevrolet Trax we could get you in that with no problem. I said I don't believe it but you could try if you want so Sam another manager there started working the deal in less than an hour. We were approved for 2025 Chevrolet tracks with 4 miles on it. I could not believe it. They had the car ready for us washed, cleaned everything and we drove down there and it took less than an hour to sign our papers and become happy happy Chevy tracks owners I never in my wildest dreams would've thought this would've happened. I cried. I'm still crying now. They made this process so easy and even with not great credit or terms. I cannot say thank you enough to Timothy Luis and Sam thank you so much for making our dreams come true. I hate dealerships. I always have I stay clear of them and away from aggressive salesmen. They were nothing of that sort. They were patient understanding and really worked hard to get me the car that I deserved and wanted and didn't expect. I am a loyal customer and Diamond Chevrolet of San Bernardino is a horrible place to take your vehicle. I took my 2019 Chevy silverado1500 LT in for my AC compressor to find out my transmission was bad. When I dropped my truck off I had no oil leak problems. Now they are telling me I have an oil cooler leak. They won't take responsibility for it. They've now have my truck going past three months. I call for updates on my truck, I can't get a hold of anyone. To have my truck for this long is very unexceptable business. I'm very disappointed on how they treat very loyal customers. I will never go back and I will be telling my buddies at work and anyone else willing to listen. Hopefully I can save anyone else from having this headache. read more

Caution. Make sure you talk to your service rep. Directly when it come to concerns or updates. I dropped off my truck for some overdue recalls, two days before my appointment I noticed my adaptive cruise control. My truck was not functioning. Since I was dropping off my truck, I asked him to take a look at it. $250 to get it diagnosed they told me. I said that's a little steep but OK I have to get fixed right so I agreed with it. As I left the dealer, I talked to a buddy of mine that told me he had the same issue with the adaptive cruise control. He told me that if my windshield had cracks or chips. It might be the cause of the adaptive cruise control not to work. So literally 20 minutes after I dropped off my truck I called the dealer service operator and let them know that I did not want my truck to get diagnosed for the adaptive cruise control. She told me that she would let my service department representative know. Well, she never did when I came to pick up my truck a couple days later I still got charged for the diagnosis. even after I showed him the call log on my cell phone. They told me I still had to pay. come to find out that when you call this dealer, your call goes to an out of the country call center. very thick accents can't understand what they're saying. They can't even understand what you're saying to them so please be aware. read more

I found out that Diamond Chevrolet uses "bait 'n' switch" as their business model the hard way. I was interested in their Equinox EV lease deal $149/mo + $2,999 down for current Bolt owners. I drove 77 miles in my 2018 Bolt Premier (68k miles, excellent mechanical, decent cosmetic) after talking to them for 10 days about the $149 deal and being told "yeah, we'll definitely buy that car," "you could probably get over what you want for it," and "our used stock is low." I owe $11,600ish on it and that's what KBB value is, so I figured this would be a done deal (or not hard to figure out). When I got there, there were no models with the options I wanted (I had spoken to two sales reps that never indicated this would be the case). I should have taken that as a sign...it turns out they wanted to give me $7,400 for it ($8,000 with pushing) and boost the monthly payment to $588. After thinking about it, I'm not sure how it's mathematically possible that being off on the trade in by $3,600 would drive the monthly payment up over $400. In no way did I think this was going to be the case; I was upfront with everything about my car in our conversations. I thought they would have been eager to make a deal, considering I followed their site for over 22 days, and none of the 15 Equinox EVs on their lot sold. The cost they show on their website is not what you pay. They have multiple add ons like paint protect ($695) and door guard ($695) that are not in the price. There was a 3rd add on but we did not get that far. You don't see them until you are sitting down. If you look at some of their other reviews you will see this pop up with others. It looks like it has been reported and seen as predatory. Management acknowledges it in other reviews but they have done nothing but facilitate it from my experience. There are much better and more honest places to buy a car. On the plus side is their sales staff is very nice. read more
