Most of the time I deal with a diamond broker directly, but stopped in Diamond Concepts on a whim while shopping, just to get an idea of how much it would cost to reset my diamond solitaire platinum wedding ring into a three-stone design (to symbolize three decades of wedded bliss). James, the jeweler, designed a custom setting, sent images and made the exact ring I requested. The platinum setting matches perfectly with my anniversary band and the two diamonds added were exactly as requested (color, quality, GIA certificates). The best part is... James put my original diamond into the new setting right there in front of me at the store, so my precious diamond never left my sight. Bottom line... We talked to James the jeweler who looked at our rings, determined the correct size, quoted us a price (which we agreed to, and which was excellent, btw) and told us that it would take about an hour. Needed My Tag Heuer's battery changed, so my father took it to Diamond Concepts. It wasn't out first battery change but was a first at Diamond Concepts. What was a first though, was when the face flooded after a single shower. First time in 20+ years. His response.... "don't shower with it, that's not good". ITS A TAG HEUER DIVE WATCH PRESSURIZED TO 200M!!! When i said that to him he insisted that you don't shower with them... but that he would fix it free of charge... He told me that it would take about 2 weeks. I had to call three weeks later to remind him who I was and what he was doing for me. During the same call he also said that it was fixed... Upon receiving the watch, for the second time. IT STILL HAD MOISTURE IN THE FACE! It was almost humorous if this watch wasn't a priceless gift from my father... I took six rings in to get sized on July 15, 2020 as my fingers got fatter. He sized the rings as 7 and than sized my fingers. He said an 8 would work. He said $65.00 and I thought that was reasonable. Now my son was with me and heard him say the rings were all size 7. I went back the following day to pick them up. I tried on only a couple of them. Than he said the charge was $275.00. I was shocked. He said I told you $65.00 and I said yes but you didn't say each otherwise I would have gone to a more reputable place. He then said that the rings were size 6 and that he had to add extra gold to get them to a size 8. He is a rip off, don't use go to Jared or anyone else but him. He is a liar as well. read more

I made an impromptu visit to get my engagement ring appraised one night. It only costs $65, Jared costs $140. The man (owner I assume) cleaned my ring and was about to start the appraisal but I didn't have the pamphlet that showed my diamond registration info so I told him I would come back. Went back the next day with the diamond registration and he started the appraisal. He looked at the diamond registration and said that my diamond was rated higher than it's real worth. He didn't clean the ring again and pulled out his diamonds to compare the color of his diamonds vs mine. He kept asking my fiance, "What do you see? What do you see?" My fiance replied saying his diamond was more clear. Of course his diamond was more clear since it was CLEAN. He finished the appraisal and spelled my address wrong on the papers (after I wrote it down on a post-it for him). He then pulled out another diamond to compare to mine and told my fiance that his diamond is what it's supposed to be like and to get a better diamond next time. I truly don't appreciate his condescending tone when he continually tells my fiance what a terrible job he did with my engagement ring (probably since it wasn't purchased from his shop). I don't remember asking him for his opinion either. I will never be returning and urge everyone to take your business elsewhere. Please go to an establishment that treats you better! read more

This jewelry store is the BEST. I went to 4 different stores for my ring upgrade and after shopping around, l came right back to Diamond Concepts. The sales ladies there were friendly, sweet, and did a great job helping me find the perfect bridal set. The ring l picked was way out of my budget but they worked with me just to put a smile on my face. They even fixed my old ring and replaced the missing stone free of charge. I stopped by here after first stopping at Walden jewelers and Fink's jewelers in the mall. All I needed done was getting my gold chain's clasp replaced/repaired. First Walden jewelers told me they would not repair the clasp but could replace it for 95 dollars and get it to me tomorrow. Finks told me they could replace it as well but the jeweler was gone so they couldn't get it to me for a week. So I stopped in here and the owner I believe tells me I do not need to get it replaced and he can just fix it on the spot so that's exactly what he did. Highest quality for the best value. I bought a white/black diamond ring at this location the other night, and couldn't be more pleased. I had priced shopped online and was not happy with the quality of the settings I could find. My husband suggested I go view settings in person and opted to stop at the Dulles mall, where there is a large concentration of jewelers. Diamond Concepts was my first stop, but after spending several hours quality/price comparing, the clear winner was still Diamond Concepts. The service was fantastic. The price was unbeatable. After visiting four different Jewelry stores looking for matching gold wedding bands, we were very disappointed with the rings at Kay Jewelers and Zales especially.. I guess our modest budget wasn't enough because the rings were tiny and only 10k.. I would have been embarrassed for us to wear such cheap looking rings..We noticed the Diamond Concepts store at Dulles Mall while heading to the second Kay Jewelers and figured let's see what they have.. We were greeted by the owner and I told him what our budget was.. He pulled two rings out that looked way out of our price range and were priced accordingly.. We both loved the rings, they were a million times nicer than what we were offered at the other stores..When I said we love them but they were out of our price range, he said "don't worry, I'I going to give you a great deal". Not only were the rings much, much larger than the others we saw at the other stores, they were 14k instead of 10k.. My fiancé had a terrible experience where he purchased my engagement ring and our ruby exploded so we came to this shop to have a garnet put in the ring to replace to ruby. Although I had planned to buy my engagement ring online, and I had spent months learning about diamonds and comparison shopping, I was still not comfortable buying a ring sight unseen. So my fiancee and I went to Dulles Town Center to check out the jewelry stores there. The first store we visited was Diamond Concepts. I am so happy we did! With the help of James and a lovely sales lady I was able to choose the exact same setting I had planned to buy online except it is handmade and platinum instead of 14 carat gold (and less expensive than the 14 carat gold setting online). I was also able to choose from a selection of certified diamonds. My ring is gorgeous and I paid much less than I would have for the same ring online. I also feel so happy to have purchased my ring from a family of true craftsmen who have been in the business for generations. I highly recommend this store! I had a wonderful experience at Diamond Concepts at Dulles Town Center. The staff were simply incredible, professional, and attentive. I brought in my grandmother's 103 year old diamond to save money for us, as a modest, middle-of-the-road couple, and was simply looking for a nice, modest setting within our means. Instead, Mina and James heard our story and treated us like royalty and provided care in selecting the best setting for the stone we were working with to enhance the look to make it both modern and vintage within a price range that was under 3 figures. The end product looks like a vintage piece that could price for several thousand; but, it is our little secret about the surprising deal they provided for us!
