Great experience this week at Aspen Jewelry! This was my second time using them and I will always go back. I went in with my wedding and engagement ring. I needed both widened a bit. Gretchen was so helpful in finding the perfect size. She explained everything to me (my band has claddagh symbol all the way around) and how there maybe a space where the claddagh is smoothed out to stretch it. I was quoted a price and told it would be about two weeks. Was pleased when the rings were ready for pick up a week early. Rings fit perfect and both rings were cleaned and sparking! We were invited to attend a function at Aspen Jewelry on Saturday evening where Kurt Rose (owner) was introducing his new line of jewelry for next year. The items that he has created are absolutely phenomenal. We have been going to Aspen for over 15 years and have always been extremely satisfied with the service, the quality of the jewelry and the selections available. They have always been very helpful in helping me pick out items for my wife, which she has throughly enjoyed each one. They have a fantastic variety of unique jewelry from various vendors around the world, plus Kurt has his own designs which he creates and they are truly unique and beautiful. His staff has always been friendly and helpful and willing to work with you to either get a piece fixed or replaced based upon your wishes. Their professionalism is awesome! Went in about mid-morning a few days before Christmas. The shop had just a few (3-4) other people there so we were asked right away if the could help us. We explained we were there to look at one item but mostly had questions about jewelry I'd just inherited and didn't know if anything had any value. We looked at a gold necklace I have been wanting but (unbeknownst to me my hubby had already bought!) asked a few questions to find out what we could do. They were so kind and answered the best they could but said to be honest, they would have to see the pieces to give any firm answers. Hubby played the let's talk about this at home card about the necklace and they we very understanding (I didn't understand and he wouldn't explain when we got home), but he had already about my necklace there and was shaking his head to the sales clearly for them not to spoil the surprise. Worked with Mike, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, he didn't push me or pressure me to purchase a certain item for an engagement ring, like lots of other big brand/chain jewelers. I went about three or four times just to look and learn more about what I wanted to buy, before making a decision, and Mike helped me the whole way. I ended up buying an engagement ring from here as the customer service and authenticity of the business was great. When they didn't have something I wanted to see, they got it shipped in ASAP and contacted me to come in to see it. I referred him to a family friend who also started going and purchased a ring there. FYI, they have a lot of great lab diamond options as well as earth grown. Fantastic experience at Aspen Jewelry designs! My anniversary was coming up and I wanted something unique for my wife, who is not into big, flashy, pieces of jewelry and is normally dressed casually. I walked in the store and started looking around a bit and I could tell right away that a lot of the pieces I was seeing were unique. Mike Estrada came over to see if he could help me and asked what I was looking for, and I basically said "ideas", so Mike, who is great to talk with and is excellent at his job, showed me some things, didn't try to sell me the most expensive pieces in the store just because he wanted to make a sale, no, what Mike wanted was to make a customer happy and he did. I ended up with a very nice necklace for my wife, who absolutely loved it, and has been wearing it for about a month straight. Mike explained to me that Aspen has been around for 25 years, and they create many of their pieces and will be glad to do custom work for you. They have a small area with some discounted pieces that have been in the store a while, and it looked like you could find some great deals there. I called Curt and asked him for prices on lab made diamond earrings. He found a near perfect diamond in the size I wanted. I've been going to Aspen for years and every piece of jewelry they have in the store is unique and quality. Their sales reps are experienced and know what they are doing. I've never felt pressured into a sale and they have a healthy respect for your budget. I recently purchased an engagement ring from Aspen and she loved it! So did her family, friends, co-workers, etc... Aspen even put a picture of the ring in a few of their weekly mailers. We'll definitely be going back for our wedding bands. About a month ago, I lost my wedding and engagement rings, I was devastated. Fortunately they were insured. My insurance company recommended Aspen Jewelers which is relatively close to my house. I was expecting the basic service that would come along with an insured item being replaced - not the case. I was immediately impressed with Arnie, he was knowledgeable, understanding and kind. I wanted to have an engagement ring made for a sapphire that I bought several years ago, and I had a fairly specific idea of the kind of setting I wanted. We had visited another jeweler the week before, and left feeling not great about the estimate we were given. I found Aspen on Yelp and decided to go in and talk to them based on the reviews. Kurt was SO nice, and SO helpful, and he was able to show us lots of options and give us a (super reasonable) quote in just a few minutes. My rings were ready in about two weeks, and I cannot stop staring at them. They're so beautiful. Customer service, what's that? Why are some people that work in customer service so inept at providing it? This place...There is a really rude, aggressive guy that works at this store. He is supposed to be the "diamond guy" or something. He has zero customer service skills and no patience. When you walk in, he instructs the women working to help the customer but then he talks over them and interrupts every question to the females with mansplaining and condescending comments. This guy is an obnoxious jerk who will ruin your shopping experience. Also, he has a disheveled appearance and unsightly ear hair which also makes for an unpleasant trip to the jewelry store. read more

I've been waiting to write this review as soon as I picked up my ring when it was finished. My boyfriend got me a beautiful saphrine ring with two diamonds on the side. It was a beautiful family heirloom so I was quite excited to wear it. The ring came to me too big so on friday my boyfriend dropped it off asking for them to make it a little smaller. Friday night it as ready, it's on my way home from work so I went to pick it up. When I received the ring I noticed it was still pretty loose. But i didn't want to say anything because my boyfriend had picked the size. But what we both noticed that night was the band around my ring was fat like the orginial band around the top area, but they had severly thinned it out on the bottom which it didn't have before.. so not only did it not fit but you basically stole from me. We went back on saturday together, I got my finger sized to the correct size. Explain to the women my distress. She said they'd add the metal back but I would have to pay yet again for it to get sized. First of all for good costumer service you shoudn't have had us pay twice when you stole from me to begin with. They said it'd take a week to get done. I called on wednesday to check the status only to have someone hang up the phone on me. Then today I called again to check the status. I was told I didn't need to keep calling that they would email me when it was ready. I found that a rude statement. When I went in tonight to pick it up. (Again I don't know much abut rings) But when she gave it back yes it did fit better on my finger. But my band looked even smaller than the orginial first time I dropped it off. I asked if it was the correct size just to check. The women working there basically looked at me like I was crazy. I just finally agreed with her & went on my way. Had I known this would be such a hassle I'd go somewhere else first. Never coming back here. I guess I'll just have to take my ring elsewehere to get my gold added back on. I dont trust these people. I trusted a mom & pop type place & they really let me down. Extremly unhappy. read more

We've been purchasing our special pieces of jewelry from Aspen for more than 10 years. I recently went in to have the batteries in two watches replaced. One we purchased from Aspen 7 years ago. The lady who helped me last week was unfriendly and took the watches I had and walked away without telling me it would take over 20 minutes to replace the batteries. If she had simply told me, I wouldn't be miffed! She came back with one of the watch backs not in place but taped on. Yes, taped on. She then told me they couldn't get the back on. I was perplexed and asked what she expected me to do with it as it was not how I gave it to her. She said they tried but couldn't replace it. I asked that she try again and voila, it came back in place. That particular watch is the one we bought from Aspen and the battery wasn't the issue. She told me they could not repair it as it wasn't under warranty. WOW! I am now going to pay Bulova to repair the watch and will not be returning to Aspen for additional jewelry. Unfortunately, I have noticed this service issue over the years but it's getting worse now. A diamond anniversary band we purchased cracked - yup, cracked after a two mont period. They told me I must have done something to make that happen. When we pushed back (as I hadn't experienced any major injury to my hand to cause the band to crack) they replaced it. To round things out a few years earlier we purchased a beautiful blue semi-precious pendant on a black rope chain. The 'chain' didn't hold up and the clasp broke quickly. They repaired it only to have it break again. Finally I asked for a different type of black rope chain and they wanted to charge me for it. I love supporting locally owned businesses but find their customer service deteriorating. read more

We were greeted right away and he had a number of great ideas. We worked with him throughout the design period, and made a number of tweaks to the design along the way. He was very receptive to our ideas and was right on point with the design. The finished product is a gorgeous custom ring and I can't be more thrilled. My fiancé and I went to Aspen Jewelers to look at wedding bands because it's close to our home. To be honest the outside appearance of the store put me off quite a bit so I wasn't going to go in, but we figured: what the heck. The inside of the store is MUCH nicer. We ended up buying our rings there and love them. They always offer to clean my engagement ring when I'm there and they even noticed my center stone was loose once and tightened the prongs on the spot. Nice people that work here and good product. I think, being a jewelry store, they should try to make the outside of the store look more aesthetically pleasing and luxurious to attract more people. I know I personally feel better going into a nice looking jewelry store and you can't tell that Aspen is nice until you get inside! Not a fan of the logo or frosted window look with a "we buy gold" sign. That being said, please don't pass by this place because of that like I was going to. I have a ring that was my Grandmothers that she was wearing when she passed away. Although it is considered a cocktail ring, and is not worth money, per se, it has great sentimental value to me. I took the ring to Aspen Jewelers to replace a stone that had fallen out and to get the ring cleaned. Not only was it exceptionally reasonably priced to have the repair and cleaning done, they emailed me shortly after I dropped it off suggesting to do a gold dip as the ring was tarnished. I picked up the ring not even two weeks after dropping it off and it looks like a brand new, high end piece of jewelery.
