Worst and most stressful experience. Zero communication. Rameez promised he could replicate a ring from day one. I got zero communication, always had to call. They do not do 3D CAD sketch's for rings(they say they do on their website but it's a lie). "CAD" sketches were inaccurate, had another jeweler draw up a CAD sketch and gave it to them and said this is what I want. Walked in when they said the ring was done, ring was not corrected on design I requested. From day 1 was told 6-8 weeks, that was on June 30th. Totally unprofessional did not request for another chance. And the ring looked and cheap felt cheap, did not present the ring to me In a box (probably knowing I wasn't going to take it) and told me to go somewhere else. Totally unprofessional. The nice young lady that works there helped me pick out a new chain (since my old one kept breaking). This new chain is more durable and is super stylish! She's very sweet and helpful. My experience was pleasant enough but nothing particularly great that compel me to return. They are definitely priced lower than RB, on average about half the cost. Joe knows his stuff and is upfront about the 17% mark up on anything purchased through them. HORRIBLE!!!!!! NEVER COME HERE!!!!! I brought 5 pieces of jewelry to be repaired. 1 item they completely lost (14K gold necklace) and another they stole some of the links and made it shorter. When I first came in, I had two 10" anklets now I have an anklet and a 8" bracelet??!?! I just love this place! I got my wedding band here almost a year ago and I'm just so happy with it and stare at it every day. The workers here are so nice and really make you feel like welcomed and excited for you to find what you are looking for. And their prices are so reasonable. A couple of months ago, my original engagement ring (from a different jeweler in Santa Monica) was badly damaged and the diamond itself had chipped. Luckily, I had insurance and was able to submit a claim to have it replaced. My insurance company works directly with Brea Diamond Direct and so, I brought it in for an appraisal and to see about getting a replacement. From the moment I called to inquire about the process, I knew I was in good hands. I was able to work directly with Joe and Rameez throughout the entire process. Their professionalism, know-how and patience are beyond outstanding! Part of what made this such a great experience, was that I was able to work with them via email! Since we were redesigning a brand new ring, I sent in a few "inspiration" photos and even a, very poorly, drawn sketch of what I wanted. From those images, emails and a couple of in-store visits, they were able to create a CAD rendering and email it to me for approval. Joe and Rameez made the whole process so easy and enjoyable!! They even greeted me by name whenever I came into the store! Joe is so knowledgeable about how the claim process works and was so patient with all of my questions and really took the time to explain everything and make sure I knew exactly where we were in the process at all times. Rameez was such a huge help to me during the design process as well and very reassuring that my new ring would be everything I wanted! I was convinced that the home grown diamond in the center stone was every bit as valuable as a natural diamond. When I came upon hard times I went back to this store to ask if they would consider buying back the ring for 50% of what I paid for it. The owner informed me that he could put it on consignment for $1,500.00 dollars. I have gone to countless jewelers in an attempt to sell the ring, and each one has informed me that I was ripped off.
