First, there was the estimate, which turned out to be about half of what I was charged. According to one of the workers, this is an ongoing problem with the management there. They routinely underestimate the amount of time for the move. The workers were working hard and fast, but it takes time to move an entire household. Secondly, these movers speak Russian primarily, which was somewhat fun because I speak some Russian. Unfortunately, however, several of them apparently don't understand or read any English, which caused some problems. As one example, I had several open boxes of items that I had planned to take to the new home myself because they are items that I need and use every day. I asked the workers to leave these open boxes and just move the closed boxes. One of them didn't understand me, and I stepped away to do some other things. When I came back, my open boxes were gone. I started to panic, as I had about 140 boxes of items. I expressed concern, and the worker brought 2 of them back. Unfortunately, another one that I really need didn't make it back, and I still can't find it. Additionally, I had marked the boxes so they could go to the correct room. Unfortunately, because some of them don't read English, the box marked "Master BR: Shoes" wound up in my kitchen. Boxes marked "Shed" wound up everywhere...In my bedroom, the kitchen, living room, etc. Last, they inadvertently packed boxes in the truck without first pulling out the wardrobe boxes. Just prior to leaving the house, they had me do a walk-through. My walk-in closet was still full of items...boxes and, of course, clothing. They explained that they couldn't get to the wardrobe boxes and asked me to take my clothes in my car. I had to decline because my car had all my musical instruments and 2 of the boxes with important items and was full. They then rigged a hanging system with the dollys, which worked pretty well. Unfortunately, when we got to the next house, they squeezed all my walk-in clothing in one small closet, when they could have used a second closet. Clothing was falling off the hangers, and they just threw those clothes up on a shelf. It took me 2 days to sort through the mess in my closet. When they left, they left a mountain of plastic wrap, and forgot to take the plastic wrap off of the dining room chairs. When I complained about that, they did return to remove it. Also, prior to moving, one of the doors on my hutch was broken. Now two of the doors on my hutch are broken, so one was broken in the move. Kevin was great, and Tim was fine. So...be careful with the cost. If you are moving from a 3 BR home, the move will probably take 6 hours, rather than the 3 they will estimate. Make sure that the one or two who speak fairly fluent English understand all your directions, and have them put your clothing in the wardrobe boxes first. I'm updating my review from 2 stars to 4, as the owner of the company, Almas, has agreed to refund me for some of the difference between the estimate and the final charges. That does help. read more

EEEEK, NOT A GOOD MOVING COMPANY!!!! Our crew did not show up with masks and gloves. We paid nearly double over other moving companies believing that we would have better service. NOT TRUE! The crew did not show up with a supplied truck so boxes which I requested a week ahead of time for my TVs were not available. They made their own attempt by cutting pieces of smaller boxes and using shrink wrap. This was necessary for many items in the house and we ended up being charged for the extra time this took. NICE TRY! It's an hour and 20 minute drive to our new residence. Yet, Diamond Movers attempted to charge us for three (3) hours travel time. ABSOLUTELY NOT! I think it's true with most moving companies that the crew is a little tired at the end of the day. The Diamond Movers crew backed their moving van into the gate and wall at our new home. It has been displaced. Then they backed up and ran into it again. All on camera video! Nobody in their right mind would try to back a moving van into that area! COCKTAIL LUNCH? Several things in the home were damaged in their hustle to get out of here. All boxes were marked which room they should be placed in but only a few made it to their proper destination. The move out process with Diamond Movers was smooth from start to finish. I received a quote from Al who was helpful and always responsive to my questions. He informed me that the movers would call ahead of time and arrive between 8 and 10 AM the day of move in (Saturday, June 20th, 2020). The three movers arrived by 7:58 AM. The move took 6-7 hours to move from a 2nd floor (no elevator) 2 bedroom apartment to a 2 story 3 bedroom home less than 1 mile away. Be sure to ask for several boxes, including wardrobe ones, if you are moving from scratch. We packed our own kitchen stuff and clothes to help shave off some time. Our furniture was large and heavy and they were extremely careful in packing and moving our stuff. These guys were working the entire time and only stopped for their quick break and lunch. My husband noted how efficient they were during the entire move. I chose this company based on the reviews stating that they didn't waste time and I'm so glad I did. This guys are professionals. The way how they moved my Jacuzzi, impressed me a lot. It is expensive and heavy. They were very careful, and they knew exactly what to do. First of all when you hire movers, make sure you trust to their experience, otherwise you are going to interrupt working process. That what happened to us previously. My mother's health has taken a rapid decline. She has moved to a care home for recovery with hopes of living on her own again. I needed movers who could come in and pack and move her items to a storage unit. I am so lucky to have found Diamond Movers. The crew of Renat, Medet, and Sultan arrived on time and were very friendly. We briefly discussed specifics on certain items and let them get to work. The crew diligently worked nonstop for almost 7 hours before I asked them to please stop and eat. And then they only took a 20 minute break before they were back working again. This type of work ethic is hard to find these days. I feel bad that my mother has so much stuff and that is why the move took a long time. The packing took so long that by the time we arrived at the storage facility, they were closing in 10 minutes. Renat made arrangements for them to come back the next morning. I found Diamond movers on Yelp to help my clients and decided to try them, I was immediately contacted by John and he was very helpful and professional during the move. They packed everything properly. No damage or scratches at all. Almas was very responsive via Yelp messaging answering all my questions. I had conversations going with many other companies rated highly on Yelp. They sounded the best for a number of reasons. They also had ample availability. Once I have the go-ahead, he sent an email order confirmation. They called 30 minutes ahead to let me know that they were in time. Very professional. Very hard workers. Very efficient. They brought giant reusable boxes, so I didn't even need my own boxes, but because they are reusable, we had to unpack them before they could leave. They were also happy to move pre-packed boxes of my own. Once again nothing broke, nothing damaged, and everything took exactly the estimated time (we went 15 minutes over). Mike and his team completed our move quickly, efficiently and professionally. They packed a 26' truck from end to end, and then expertly unpacked the truck into our new home without as much as a single damaged item. They were asked several times to move very, very heavy pieces of furniture from an initial placement in one room to another room, never once balking and always stepping up to keep the customer satisfied. The price was very fair, there were no hidden charges, and the team of four wore masks at all times. No paint damage. No drywall damage. No scrapes in the wood flooring. What a great decision to have Diamond move us two days ago. Based on Yelp reviews they had we thought they would be a good choice. THEY WERE A GREAT CHOICE!. By far the best of the eight prior moves we ever had. If I could give them more then 5 stars I would. Almas came to our home to give us a quote. I recently moved from a difficult location with dirt roads and steep slopes, which made it impossible to use a large moving truck. On top of that, my budget was tight, so I opted for a smaller truck and a single trip, knowing that not everything might fit. Despite their initial concerns about the amount of stuff I had, the crew did an amazing job of fitting everything into the truck - even the loose odds and ends that I had planned to toss in my car. At my new apartment, they were incredibly helpful in placing my furniture where I wanted it and leaving enough space to move around. The Diamond movers was very professionally and hard workers when they moved me from my one bedroom apt. They covered all my staff and replace it very carefully. The workers was very polite, friendly and attentive to details, they know how to move everything from fragile things to extremely heavy fridge. They have done everything possible to moved inn my huge fridge thru the narrow entrance. They removed the handles from the fridge, also they have all necessary, special equipment to bring it inside. Slava and Almas are very strong guys, like a powerlifters, they took the fridge by special belt and easily put it. It's great when you found professionals and you got what you expect. The movers were fantastic - they arrived on time and even called and texted beforehand to give me an ETA. They used an electronic contract system for signing and were very professional in getting everything squared away before the move. They collected a deposit and confirmed all the details in advance. On the day of the move, they quickly and efficiently moved all of the boxes that I had packed beforehand and carefully wrapped all other items in blankets and plastic.
