After much research and Yelp reviews study, I chose Diamond Movers to move my possessions from Temecula a storage facility to my Oceanside house. The truck was on time, the three movers worked as a team and were fast and efficient, obviously well experienced. The entire move was done in about six hours. I was overall very pleased with their work. Jane, in the office, was a terrific help with understanding the charges and conditions of the moving agreement. She was always available to answer my questions or concerns. Jane gave great advice about hiring three movers to expedite the move, and save money. I would use Diamond Movers again. Overall professional and excellent communication. I had lived in a difficult place with dirt roads and steep slopes, so a large truck was out of the question. My budget was also tight, so I decided on one smaller truck (instead of two) and one trip with the understanding that not everything may fit or be moved. The crew was nervous when they saw how much I had still, but thanks to their skills, everything somehow made it in the smaller truck. Even loose odds and ends I had run out of time to pack and had planned to toss in my car found a spot. The movers did a fantastic job at asking where I wanted furniture, leaving space to move around the new apartment, and being good sports about the ridiculous amount of books I own. Long ago I learned that, no matter what you're dealing with, problems will arise and how the company deals with it tells you what they're made of. I had some problems when I moved with Diamond, and the owner has reached out to me to make good on the issues encountered during our move. I'd still argue they should have been more careful with our delicate items. However, I must take responsibility for not carrying them all with me during the move. And I give him points for owning up to the mistakes they made and making nice with an unhappy customer. My expectation is we've both learned something from this experience, and their next customer will benefit from it. Not only did they do it in record time, but they did it with such care and ensured that everything made it there in one piece - including a very fragile antique grandfather clock! First time ever and last time we use this company.  Under dire straights this past January 2021,  we hired DM for an expensive three day project. Our experience was very disappointing enough to call the local sheriff and report unauthorized signature/charges.  The business used an ELECTRONIC SOFTWARE capturing my SIGNATURE which the COMPANY used on a daily basis to close the contract but not before my approval (so I thought).  However, on the third day DM closed the contract without my approval.   We honestly felt swindled because though we agreed to the initial estimate we felt the estimate was later beefed-up significantly. On the third day, we did not agree to the charges and we refused to sign but the company closed the contract anyway. By using the initial captured electronic signature.  Events occurred as follows: Day 1: The movers arrived for packing. We started off good. We left for the ENTIRE day leaving them to independently pack our belongings. At the end of the day we were shocked when they requested a 20 % tip. We refused to pay 20% & signed to close the contract. Day 2: The movers arrived in questionable bad moods they were overtly agitated. (I believe it was because we refused to pay a daily 20% tip) The owner terms our refusal as having an ATTITUDE. They continued but worked at a much slower pace. I signed to close the contract for that day. Day 3: The movers arrived for unpacking.  They continued to overtly express their aggressions communicating amongst each other in a language I didn't understand creating a perception of exclusivism.  They worked at a slow pace. At this point I started to unpack my items to speed up the unpacking process.  At the end of the day, they racked up fees for extra movers, 30 minute lunches and 10 minute cigarette breaks.  We refused to sign until those were removed.  After talking to the owner back and forth it was not resolved.  We told them to leave and 5 minutes later we get a email receipt stating I signed but in all truth it was signed fraudulently by one of the movers approved by the owner.  Not okay. It was quit uncomfortable tolerating their behavior in our home.  The environment was clearly unpleasant for us. Lesson learned we will ask more questions before hiring under dire straights. read more

I contacted Diamond less than seven days from moving day and was able to book a packing day and the move, which included pick up from and drop off at a storage unit. The quote and contract process was all electronic document supported and very user friendly. This was the definition of convenient. The movers were meticulous and efficient. The hourly rate was precisely measured with a mobile app. Not a single scratch and anyone of my pieces of art or any furniture items. The initial scheduling process was a breeze, or at least I thought it was. The man helping me was courteous and professional and there was availability on the date I requested. This positive first impression gave me confidence that the move would be super smooth and this really helped me sleep easy at night because we were moving on the final day or our lease. The move date arrived and three men arrived early. This was nice because we were highly motivated to get moving! Upon meeting in person though, the lead, "Sean," was notably dissatisfied from the start. I was initially confused and curious as to why he was repeatedly frowning at me as I walked him around the office describing what needed to be done. I didn't make much of it though as it didn't really matter to me what kind of mood he was in, I just wanted to move my office. The rude behavior increased in frequency and intensity throughout the move, though. By the time we had packed the truck, nearly every interaction resulted in frowns and/or audible gasps. This behavior digressed further into him repeatedly pestering me that there was too much work. Additionally confusing to me was that the guys were meticulously bubble wrapping EVERYTHING from delicate items that actually needed special care to 20 dollar end tables, individual light bulbs and other items that I asked them to throw away. It was almost as if they were intentionally dragging their feet. This of course was extremely confusing to me given that they were repeatedly complaining that they thought the job was too large. Maybe this was because the lead seemed to be specifically upset with me for miscalculating the effort of the job. Evidently, there was a web form where I had indicated that it would be a straightforward move. Even though I had a lengthy verbal conversation on the initial call, outlining the specific details of the job, it seems as though the one sentence description from the webform was the only piece of information that was communicated with the actual movers. While I feel like the moving company should take some responsibility for miscommunications regarding the size of a job, I still made multiple attempts to apologize and connect with him in a positive way. Even now, I'm happy to apologize to the intake person if I miscalculated the move. In reality, though, I still think it should have been a "straightforward move." Admittedly, I'm not a mover myself and I don't have any experience estimating job size, nor was I even aware that this would be the expectation. In addition to the apologies, I spent the entire time moving items myself. Unfortunately, though, my efforts to reconcile with Sean were not met with compassion and understanding. To the contrary, the interactions were so negative and uncomfortable, that immediately following the final piece of furniture moving off the truck, I acquiesced to there wishes and I sent the team home. Unfortunately, this meant that everything in my entire office was still in bubble wrap and I had to hire a separate group of men to unpack and move the items within the new office. I gave them a 20% tip because Sean specifically asked for it and I'm not really looking to escalate an already escalated situation. In reality, though, this was a notably negative experience for me. On a lighter note, I'm happy to say that the task of bringing new men in to finish the job was actually super simple. Not surprisingly, the job immediately went back to being as straightforward as I had imagined it. In comparison to managing the negative energy and strange behavior of the previous day, I was just relieved and happy to be in my new office space! ps, the movers also made more than one mistake, most notably, making two large scratches on my newly installed flooring. After initially attempting to ignore it, when prompted, the lead told me that he had already scheduled a follow up person to come in and address the damage. The good news is that everything was moved without breakage. The bad news is the movers took twice as long because they didn't find value in being efficient. (To drive up the hours I suspect.) They also didn't speak English or Spanish so we couldn't communicate with them. Be wary of the estimate from this company--I ended up paying nearly twice as much. I ordered the service Sep 10th. The leader is supportive and responsible but the two crews are not professional. My wife's diamond ring was in jewelry box which carried by ourselves and placed in the bathroom of master bedroom. It was missing after the two crews assembled the bed in that room. So we told them if it didn't show up we will call police. Then we left and came back about 10 minutes later, the ring appeared in a open box downstairs. After the crews left, we also found one pair of gold earrings missing. One was found in guest room first floor where we didn't carry the jewelry box into at all, the other is still missing. In addition, the two crews are low efficient. Only the leader was working hard. Moving same stuffs from 80miles down here one year ago took about 9 hours. This time, domestic moving in same city around 11 miles took 7.5hours. And the trash like wrapping papers were left outside the garage door after they left. I had to take care of those myself. We had a large 2 bedroom that Tom, Ilon and Daniel helped us to move into our Uhaul for a cross country permanent move. They were very professional and so quick! We had a motorcycle that we strapped into the Uhaul for transport. They came in, neatly shrink wrapped our furniture, and stacked boxes in perfect succession. I am never using a UHaul again. These guys are really professional and efficient with packing up and moving all furniture; they did not waste any time at all. They do a way better job than I did when I rented a U-Haul. I had to move from Point Loma to Kearny Mesa, plus we had to make a stop to move my boyfriend's stuff from Tierrasanta as well. Almas's crew arrived on the spot at 8am at my place, 9am at my boyfriend's place, and 10am at our new home. They were finished within 4 hours. We didn't have to assist with reassembling the furniture; they knew exactly what to do! The guys kept a cool head and were super friendly and nice throughout the 4 hours. We needed help moving out of our split level apartment in Hillcrest to a 2nd floor apartment in Serra Mesa. Diego, Lichee and Ali showed up on time with all the packing supplies we needed. They were able to carry all of our furniture from the 2nd and 3rd floors to the truck without damaging anything. They also avoided damaging the walls at all, which was quite difficult in our cramped hallways. I forgot to warn the crew beforehand that we needed help taking apart a bed, but they were prepared for this and were able to reassemble the bed in our new apartment too.
