We do own at an entry level rate because we are sooo frugal. They upgraded me to a deluxe bc I signed up for 90 min. But we are having an awesome time at the South Tahoe. We also did the 90 min with Jesse first sales guy then the closer Daniel. They were professional sales people and educated us on why our entry Level is not best for us. No bully manipulative strategies. Seriously I am getting the hang of how to use my points etc. We like the convenience of using points and not getting charged taxes or resort fees etc. We were not ready to buy even at the ridiculously affordable final offer. But I will be ready for next time I sign up for a 90 min. Warning: consumer needs to be honest about what they can afford particularly if you make monthly payments. It was never released, and I was literally sent to 8 different departments before being returned to the first department, only to be unable to speak to anyone! I purchased a promotional package for $350 3 years ago and was told I had 4 years to use it. I tried booking several times on their website and through their customer service phone number. To this day, I have not been able to book a vacation. I tried Hawaii and was told I could not use it there, I also tried several other destinations and was given an excuse why I'm not able to use it at that particular destination. Called in at 9am day of check- in per their recommendation to ask for early check-in. Room name and confirmation of reservation was checked and I was told our room was ready. I then tell the other 8 people in my group coming in from all different locations and 2 cars to head towards the resort. When I arrive at 1230pm, Bill at the front desk tells me our room is not ready and kept repeating it wouldn't be until 330 or 4pm. None of my questions or concerns were ever addressed by Bill. He continued to shrug off any our suggestions, including making our room a priority to clean and flip for us since someone falsely told us our room was ready. He stated, "there's more that goes into it than just cleaning the room. It will be ready. 330 or 4 pm." After realizing I was going to get nowhere with Bill. I visibly grabbed the managers business card in front of his workstation, left a voicemail and email stating our frustrations. And low and behold not even 130p, our room MAGICALLY became ready for check in. The manager did respond, "I do understand that Bill notified housekeeping to be able to check your party in just a few minutes ago..." It would have been nice if Bill communicated that he would do anything about it in the first place? Communication. Accountability. Customer service. It's not that hard, especially when- oh I don't know? It's your job. I hate that it took a seething e-mail/voicemail for something to be done about the situation. We are understanding people. But when your teammate screws up and falsely tells us we could check in, it's still then your responsibility to right their wrongs in that moment. Would advise extra training for staff. read more

Massive scam! Expect to deal with psychopaths who confuse, gaslight, and abuse you every step of the way. You will exit the situation completely traumatized. It is not worth the discounts they claim to offer. My friends and I went in for the presentation in Maui because a tour agent promised us trip discounts in exchange for a two-hour sales presentation. Prior to that no other information was communicated besides carrying our ID and credit card with us. Upon arriving, a brunette lady with tattoos on her ankle ushered us in. She looked like Kimberly Foyle with creepy radioactive decay of plastic and botox. She started asking us for private information which became quite concerning -- SSNs for a credit pull; ID and credit card information; whether we are single, living with anyone else etc. This was BEFORE the presentation -- we hadn't seen anything, neither did we intend to purchase anything. When we voiced our privacy concerns, she used the classic psychopath trick to fool us by making it sound like our fault "I have been doing this for 10 years, and you are the third person who does not want to do it". After a bunch of abusive remarks from her, I decided to walk away from the presentation. She again requested that I sign another form just so that I could leave. WTF? What kind of resort would treat the guests like hostages. Tips: I hope the next person going into the presentation can bring a camera and send the interaction to law enforcement. Our stay was nice, no issues with the room. The staff were rude to another guest while we were checkin in and that was hard to watch. Additionally, I get calls non-stop from Diamond Resorts PUSHING for me to sign on to time share. I asked the last caller to put me on a do not call list and he hung up on me before I could get the last word out. Steer clear of this place unless you want the same. By the way, we were offered a free room if we would sign up for a presentation but we opted to pay full price instead. They still harass us to do one. We have 2 deeded weeks at Polo Towers Las Vegas (points system) The Club members at Diamond Resorts. We can never get the weeks we want in the locations we need which seems like theyve over sold timeshares. Customer service in the call center is horrible. Mainenance fees keep climbing while properties are getting old and rundown. I am trying to revise an old review but don't know how to do it. I initially regretted buying my membership but have since figured out how to use it and I LOVE IT. I wasn't able to make it for the initial orientation but called in and got a LIVE person who walked me through some things I didn't understand, and helped me book a trip (which I got half points off of it yay). I booked a 4 day, 3 night stay with Diamond Resorts international one month ago against my better judgement. I told the salesman, "it's not worth buying a package because I'll never find good dates available at your resorts," and he responded, (direct quote) "as long as you don't call our Las Vegas location on December 20th to book a trip for New Years, you will always get a spot even at our most popular destinations. As long as you book a month or so ahead of time, we always have availability - no black out dates." After that my wife and I talked with a couple of friends and planned to book a trip less than one month after securing the vacation package. On September 27th, (more than 3 month of advanced timing) I reached out to our travel agent to book a trip to Las Vegas (where diamond resorts owns 3 resorts) for New Years And was told that they had no availability. Diamond Resorts owns resorts in Las Vegas, yet not one available unit with 3 months of advanced notice. When I complained at the agent because of their false promises, he didn't seem to care - no options to get my money back or cancel this package based on false promises. Then when I asked if they could tell me which resorts were available on New Years so I could consult with my wife about other locations, he let me know that's not how it works and that we have to pick the location and then he can check - seems to be a stupid process and it has left me looking foolish to my wife and our friends because I got all of our hopes up for a Vegas New Years trip. I won't be using this service again. More than 3 months of advance notice in a location where they own 3 resorts and they couldn't come through for me. Awful awful costumer service, not trustworthy and frankly only in it for the money. My husband and I were not only booked at the wrong hotel with our newborn baby, but we were told we could not be switched even though there were rooms available in the hotel where we asked to be in the first place. They repeatedly gave us false hope and sent us mixed messages. The rooms are falling apart. Their communication with their affiliate hotels is poor (the hotel almost refused to let us stay there due to a miscommunication with diamond) and their promises are coated with murky language making anything that comes out of their mouths questionable. I have not been impressed with Diamond Resorts ever since they purchased our local Time Share facility. The annual fees have increase significantly, exchange options are limited for the US and overall improvement to our home Time Share facility has been almost non-existent. The annual maintenance fee is now calculated based on ALL Diamond Resort locations instead of my local Time Share facility. In other words, one is paying for the maintenance of all other Diamond Resort location including overseas operations. Our local Time Share facility used to be great and maintenance fees reasonable until Diamond Resorts took over. Now I heard that Diamond Resorts has been sold to Hilton Grand Vacations for $1.6 million. Hopefully, Hilton will make a difference, but only time will tell. read more

I went through their presentation and while I decided to further examine this "offer" and wanted to remain strong about not feeling pressure and the 2 initial people whom I dealt with were fine... and I would have considered the offer later when I am 100% in the clear of other financial responsibilities later this year. But then "Sheri Flowers" (a Quality Assurance Officer) ended up taking out whatever angst she had on me by replying with a scathing remark when I wouldn't accept her new "offer" because I won't be bullied into signing something that I am not 100% on. Sherri (with "new offer): We can offer you this... ME: Cool. Still going to think about it. Sherri: So you can't afford this. ME: Sure. That's it. Sherri: If you had mentioned that in tue beginning K______ probably wasted that much time with you. I hope that Sheri was just having an off day/moment and that it wasn't directed as a racial/biased interaction. She was pleasant for the first few minutes yet got downright nasty when I simply stuck to my guns. I almost cried as we walked to the trailer where people go to get their gift card or whatever and the kind person behind that computer tried to put me at ease. I value my time more than money. I spent 3hrs there and just needed space to THINK THINGS THROUGH. It's not about buying some diet plan shakes or wellness pyramid schemes. ONCE YOU SIGN THEIR FORMS YOU ARE IN. Sedona is going in a bubble that's about to burst - so maybe it was a good thing that SHERI FLOWERS was beyond obnoxious. Now, I don't even have to give this another thought. I'll just use my $70k+ towards some land and build something. Too bad there isn't a 0 star option. Do not buy anything, do not even make the mistake of looking them in the eye... they're ruthless, and honestly quite scary to deal with. The reps begin by telling you their life stories so you can feel comfortable with them and relate to them. They then go into their sales pitch.. once they find out you're not buying, their attitude changes, and they start being condescending. The sales rep we were speaking with started asking us personal questions like how we paid for our flight to get to Arizona, when we told her we paid with points from our credit card.. she went on to say: "Oh so you people have money but you're just lying to me, you're a liar.." and started making a scene. When we told another rep that we are not buying anything, she told her supervisor we were being threatening and using a threatening tone. I'm really confused by the way they behave. I would recommend their sales staff to Hollywood though, because they put on a quite a show and they are really in character when their mood and tone switches. I've read other reviews on Diamond Resorts where people leave the presentations crying.. and I can see why. I am shocked that they are still in business. I went to their Williamsburg resort as a wedding gift and got sucked into one of their dishonest sales meetings to ram a timeshare down your throat. We passed which pissed them off. The room was too big for 2 people but we like small and cozy. This was big enough for a whole family. No hot tub which is one thing we love getting when on vacation. I was roped in and talked into getting the sampler packet telling me it would save me money when I travel this is the biggest joke buyers beware please do not pint this your points do not add up to the simpler purchase For instance I pay $99 a month I Put $500 down I only got 2weeks out of the whole entire purchase, With one week hanging into limbo because when I try to book a reservation the customer service reps tell me they are all taken until next year so do I get a refund I asked no you do not get a week returned refund you either take it or you lose it how can you take it if it's not available. The bottom line is the place that they set us in was definitely no resort I have pictures and they will not upload onto their website and when they do they remove them as quickly as I add them. Their beds are disgusting the hot tub had mall around the edges were so corroded it looked like a small pet was stuck inside there was so much hair . Purchased a 5-day, 4-night stay at one of a small listing of locations in October of 2018. We were told, while the package standard was for a standard hotel room for 2 people, we would have NO trouble changing that to 2 rooms, to accommodate my elderly in-laws, who often travel with us. Diamond Resorts started pestering us, sometimes calling 2-3 times each day, wanting us to schedule our trip. I asked them to stop calling, as I would schedule it at a time when we had determined when and where we wished to go. They advised, they wouldn't stop calling, as it was automatically queued in their system, to call, until reservations were set. When I did call and make my reservations, I was told our first choice was unavailable, and they suggested a less popular destination. I fell for it, but made sure and advised them, we would be a party of four and need two rooms to accomodate the party, would prefer a minimum of a queen sized bed, and ground level if possible. They advised, I should receive an e-mail shortly, with the confirmation, and the location, ie address etc, for the "resort" we had chosen. No e-mail was received. (NO, not in my spam either) I contacted them 5 additional times, requesting the information, as we would need to know where we were going, and had already booked flights and a rental car. Finally, on the 5th call, I was able to get their employee to provide the address for the "resort". I asked them to clarify what the accomodations would be, and was told, I had a standard hotel room, with one bath, and two double beds. Attempting to remind them of the requests I had made, I was transferred to a "supervisor" who informed me, the contract I had signed was for the standard hotel accomodations. I told her, it actually said "At Minimum", to which she replied, you can take what is offered, or cancel, and it is NON-REFUNDABLE. She then come back with "we might be able to upgrade your accomodations, if your willing to pay the difference", which I was told could be as high as an additional $100/night. I looked up the hotel, and identified why they had been so secretive... It looks like an old Day's Inn hotel. Their rooms are listed on Expedia for $69/night for one small outdoor pool, and nothing out of the normal basic hotel. They call this a resort??? They also wanted me to travel to a separate location, and spend 2-hours in the middle of one of the days, listening to their time-share sales speal Lesson learned... Cost me $297 to identify this company is a complete farce! I can get hotel rooms in my original location of choice, for around $100/night and NOT have to put up with their poor service, and poor accomodations. Last comment... If I were trying to sell a time-share, I most assuredly would not be sending people to a $69/night accomodation. read more

Our story is not very pleasant. We bought a package for 4 days and 3 nights. We were told that we could (if we wanted) get a $100 visa returned if we attended a presentation. We just got off the phone with them and we were told the presentation is a MUST and if we do not attend we will be charged extra for our stay at check out. Also, we were NEVER TOLD when we got the package that we needed to bring a major credit card (to the presentation).. which at this point it sounds very sneaky to me. I am just putting this out here because we have no time to be playing their games. Also, how can they not offer online presentations during this pandemic.
