I purchased this timeshare service from Diamond resort. But whenever I call they don't have dates available. My wife is Indian and she doesn't have a US issued photo id. They won't accept her Indian passport as a photo id though I already got an US id. Also when I purchased the package the sales associate told me that I can cancel the package at any time. But when I called the customer service , they said the package is not cancelable. This is total fraud and never fall for whatever they say. read more

In August 2022, I paid $750 for two packages that would expire in 2025 earlier this month in January 2023. I went on their website to make reservations for breathless Punta Cana. I waited a week no one responded I called and then they sent me an email saying that my reservation was confirmed. I waited two more days I called again, and the representative took my credit card information and then, I waited a week before they charge my credit card. I was told within 24 hours I would receive a call from breathless Puta Cana. That call never came. I called Diamond Resorts I emailed Diamond Resorts with no response for two days I sent emails and communication requesting refund of the $399 plus $750 with no response. This is a scam if you haven't already done so be sure to go to the federal trade commission to report this organization. read more

Do Not Trust This Company! While on a presentation in Maui at the Kaanapali Beach Club we purchased the sampler program for $3k with the intention to come back and stay the following year, which we did. Fast forward to 2019 we stayed at the Kaanapali Beach Club as promised in a 2-bed condo. As part of the agreement, we were to attend another presentation, we did and we purchased another sampler. We were promised we could stay at the Kanappliae Beach Club in a 2-bed condo. Well... this time when we went to book the Kaanapali Beach Club, we were told, "oh, no! you can't stay there." Since June of 2019, I have gone back and forth with the company, they refuse to honor what was promised in the original contract from 2018 where they promised nothing would change and that we can come back to the Kanaplie Beach Club! They need to do the right thing and give us our money back! read more

Lake Tahoe Diamond Resort is where you should go when there are no choices left. Do not buy a timeshare. The staff is rude and unaccommodating, but most especially the front desk staff lacks supervision and training. Once they suck you in to a timeshare plan to pay, pay, pay, until you regret you didn't buy a cabin in the first place. Each year it takes a maximum effort to secure a reservation. Forget what they told you about ownership priority, it's first come, first served. The last 4 years in a row they screwed up the reservations and told arriving family members they could not accommodate them although previously assuring the family that it was authorized, prearranged, and all set. No one has the authority or empowerment or apparent common sense to fix simple issues at this hotel. Family has to repeatedly call Las Vegas with the confirmation number to get accommodations after reservations were made a year in advance. It is primarily just a room with some cooking availability. There are no such things as upgrades or innovation and amenities are offerings from off-site, 3rd party, vendors. You will pay retail for these amenities but that is what they rely on to call this a resort. There is no such thing as a lake view. Views of the parking lot are generally what people get. The last 25 years internet access has been equivalent to dial up. During Covid they decided to eliminate the valet, and housekeeping, except once a week. It rained and they shut down the pool which is the only offering for the kids. There is little nearby parking and off-site parking is up the street from the hotel. I stay here once a year to visit with the family. Every year, I regret staying here and leave shaking my head. As far as fun, not much to do associated with the hotel. Things are never what they advertise. Don't plan on using the internet unless you want to see buffering you don't even find in a coffee shop. Attempts to contact the front desk are met with long wait times or they never answer the phone at all. Doubt me, call them now and see if you can get someone to answer. Hotels like this one are for the uninformed. Under ordinary circumstances, I stay elsewhere when coming to South Lake. This hotel is a lesson in how to do everything wrong in the hospitality business because most hotels in the area provide better for their clientele. read more

I have already made four calls regarding a points issue. Although at the original sales presentation I was told that I would get 5000 points a year, AND THE CONTRACT STATES THAT- "BIENNIAL POINTS: 5000, ALTERNATE YEAR POINTS-5000" that's not what's showing up on my dashboard. It only says 5000 points in odd years. Anyway, each time I call I'm told that an email will be sent to the contracts department, who don't have a direct telephone number, but nothing has been resolved in all this time - maybe 6 weeks of calling. Due to the coronavirus, our guest from Seattle is not able to fly to Arizona. And while this reservation was purchased as a "promotion", I contacted Diamond Resorts on March 7, 2020 which is OVER 30 days ADVANCE NOTICE to cancel this reservation. I'm being told that no, Diamond Resorts will not cancel this reservation. Diamond Resorts is the outlandishly most uncooperative vacation leisure company and chooses to provide HORRIFIC customer service. I attempted to resolve this with one of your Supervisors and she has elected to refuse the cancelling of this booking. It's no wonder the reviews below mine all reflect 1-2 stars. Concerned for the staff and guests, we left the next day back home. Diamond resorts refused to move dates of our package or refund even with these circumstances. Let me begin by saying I'm a reasonably smart guy. I thought i could match wits with a sales agent. Nope! I'm handicapped by trust and being honest. These sales people are 'professionals'. They are devious, highly trained, deceptive, manipulative liars and thieves. They are very creative. No matter what they tell you, only what is written on the hundreds of pages of the contract maters in the end. There is NO recourse after signing! Their escalation' appeals process is a joke. All they did was recite the contract back to me and tell me i signed the forms. The sales agent's boss (VP of sales) just supported his salesman and essentially told me he had trained his agents in the very lies i had been told. Im just SOL. My recommendation: 1. Don't buy Diamond Points! 2. Don't accept a gift for a presentation! 3. Don't attend a presentation for ANY REASON! Consider; 1. There is a huge secondary market for timeshares. (Hmmm.... i wonder why?) Look there. Massively discounted! DRI points for as little as $.75/pt. (They tell you the price per point is $11.00 and 'about to go up - again!' but you somehow can buy today at $4.25/pt! IF you buy now! HIGH PRESSURE. 2. We went to one of those presentations that was supposed to last only 2 hours...which turned into three full hours where I was constantly telling them that I was just there for the gift card and wasn't interested. I told them right when we arrived that we had to leave at 1030 because friends were waiting on us. I also told them I just bought a timeshare the year before and couldn't buy another one. They refused to listen to me and would not out process us for our gift cards, no matter what I said. FIVE different people talked to us- FIVE. Each trying to give us a better offer. Worst "customer service" ever (with the possible exception of Century Link). They have a "Transitions" program where, if approved, YOU can pay THEM (again) for the privilege of getting out of one of their timeshare contracts. After I sent notarized documents relinquishing my timeshare back to them, they cashed my check but never transferred the deed. When you email them they ignore it, when you try to call, their wait time is up to one hour! They claim the documents weren't filled out properly but never communicated that and used it as an excuse to charge another year of fees. They are unresponsive, disorganized, and possibly criminally negligent in their dealings. Stay away. read more

We stayed at a Diamond Resort for our 2 year wedding anniversary and at the end of that stay we were presented with another Diamond Resort Package. We are to use this package within a year. Come to find out there is only ONE beach location in Southern Ca to choose from and that ONE is booked the week of our 3rd wedding anniversary. Guess we have to let this package go. I could have sworn at check out a year ago they showed us a map of more locations; those locations are not for the 'common folk" to pick from. You have to be a "member". I'm very disappointed with my service today. This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here, the first time here was wonderful, but this second times stay was very disappointing. First upon checking in we are asked over 5 different times to go to an 8am timeshare presentation- I politely responded 5X we wouldn't be able to attend. I get it they have quotas, but what was SO disappointing is check in was set for 4pm and we were not allowed to enter into our room until 5:15pm. They were supposed to send us a text that our room was ready- however never sent that text so I went to a different customer service agent that promptly got us into our room. I'm not sure of the original agents name but I am beyond disappointed with service this second time around. This late check in ruined dinner plans as well as was not the check in time I booked or purchased. Highly disappointed, would not recommend. read more

The resort was ok. Nice service at front desk and the amenities were ok. 2 of 3 hottubs were out of service. We had a studio that was clean but needed some upkeep. Concierge roped us into Diamond preview. We were offered a significant atv discount (which was a great experience!!!!). We were offered a couple other incentives too which were insignificant. Week was great the location was great. The Diamond presentation was HORRIBLE. I own a timeshare and they ushered us into a room to tell us we do not understand how it works and that it's too expensive for us. I just wanted it explained to me how 6500 points equates to 10weeks vacation a year. How 48k mortgage and 2k a year Maintence equates into the 60k savings over 20 years. The math doesn't add up. I asked legitimate questions so that I could understand the system and they were irritated and insulting. Ushered us to another table where they try to sell you a sampler points package. I have sat through a number of these pitches in my lifetime and this was by far the most disappointing. They even show you the BBB reviews to explain that it's only .0025% of their membership that are disappointed but anyone with common sense knows that not everyone throws down disappointed ratings on BBB. JUST DO YOUR RESEARCH. I will be avoiding Diamond resorts on my future travels because of that experience. read more

My husband and I agreed to go to the sales presentation. We were sexually harassed the entore tome and when we complained, his boss just kept trying to sell us timeshare. They have had ample time to rectify this but havent even offered an appology. Update: I finally heard from someone at Cypress Point. His reponse was that the legal team viewed video (not audio) of the presentation and as the sales rep didnt touch my husband or I nothing was wrong. Sexual harassment DOES NOT have to be physical. Diamond Resorts shows yet again that they encourage and condone sexual harassment of guests/customers. Is this really a company you want your money going to. My husband and I have been paying our membership fee for over a year. The first year we were told we might not find a lot to book due to us being new members. Now they don't tell us why or how we can get anything booked. We have asked, "How far in advance should be try to book". "What can we do to get anything booked". And we get no answers. We have tried booking at several destinations and we have been very flexible with the months, days etc and nothing. We have been paying for a membership we can't even use. Now we want cancellation information and no one will help us. I have now been on hold for 3 hours and someone keeps getting back on the line, "Do you want to continue to hold"., I asked them if I can receive a call back they said, "no". Me and my fiance stayed at Diamond Resorts in Scottsdale for more than 3 weeks while our house was being renovated. While there, our car was broken into and everything inside stolen, including an invaluable laptop that had my son's baby pictures on it. Diamond Resorts then proceeded to put us through HELL. They made filing a police report difficult, management lied and told us they didn't have security cameras, but police pointed out that they DID. We talked with a very lazy adjuster named Deborah who took weeks to get back to us. She didn't care about our situation and told us we were denied because Diamond has a "sign out front." But we were robbed because Diamond's parking lot lights were broken. In addition, the door to my hotel room didn't work and Diamond didn't refund our stay. I will never stay with them again and I highly recommend you take your family and friends to a different resort because if you are hurt, or someone steals from you, or your room door doesn't operate, they will not make things right. They will put you through hell for months with their "adjuster" only to deny you in the end. read more

This is a BEWARE - DON"T BUY!!! warning The presentation we attended turned out to be the most expensive Pink Jeep excursion out of Sedona that either my wife or I could have imagined. Diamond Resorts International, as we now know, is full of shady characters who misrepresent and outright lie, trying to get their pound of flesh out of you and a commission for them. Also, before they let us out of there, the "60 - 90 minute presentation" turned out to be a four hour beatdown. Thankfully, we weren't stupid enough to buy a full membership, but we were pounded on until we agreed to buy a "Sampler Package," which was presented as a way to sample the wonderful units DRI owned around the world. We reluctantly agreed, figuring we could try this out, at least stay in a few places and thought that we could have a few nice vacations over time, and the cost end up being a wash. NOT EXACTLY. As you can read in a number of reviews here, when you actually attempt to book a stay anywhere, you will find that the locales are not only very restricted (and certainly not ALL the places they showed us during the presentation), but EACH SITE is restricted in terms of which units you are ALLOWED to stay in (i.e. brochure states that they have 2, 3 and 4BR units available, but when you try to book, the only option available to you is a studio with a partial ocean view). Our only solace is that we didn't buy the whole package, which would have cost us in the $12,000 - $ 15,000 range, but we did throw $3000 down the drain on the sampler package. So, our advise, don't even swallow the "free" pink jeep rides, or whatever they're offering you, just keep on walking... It'll save you a bunch in the long run. read more

This place LOOKS fantastic. In a three-hour "120-minute tour," they really started off on the right foot, and could have potentially made a customer of me. Why, then, do I rate them as one-star, and would no-star if able? Read on... After the first hour and a half, which, as I said, they did good with, you end up with your salesperson to "answer any questions.". As someone whose education and career are in finance and accounting, I was interested in numbers, fees, etc., to judge the value of their program. That didn't go over too well with the salesman. He made arguments about equity, which, while debatable as existing, failed to properly offset their maintenance fees, etc. When considered, I pointed out that I would have to go on vacation every year for the next 75 years just to break even, assuming no increase in any fees (which, historically, they have raised regularly). He began insulting my education and career (and at this point I went from skeptical to a firm 'no'). We did get the tickets promised, but this wasn't really a great value for time spent. If you're on a strict budget, it's something to consider, I guess, but otherwise I would stay away. Pro-tip given to me by a friend that lives in Vegas after the fact: if you say that you live in a nearby city in Clark County, most of these places will leave you alone. read more

I bought a sampler package 2 years ago to see if this vacation plan could work for me. I was working on using my points. I went with 3 girlfriends to hike near Vegas and we had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo on the first floor. Walked in and was surprised to see stained and worn furniture (chair with actual holes in the material), very small kitchen, and later found the table leg was coming off of the dining room table, shower head didnt fit in the holder causing flooding in the bathroom, door to bathroom difficult to open and close, no fans in bedrooms and fans did not work in the bathrooms. The hallway door had a big gap between door and doorframe. Toilet gurgled and flooded to the point that we had to have someone come up and snake it. I informed the front desk of the room condition and they said I had to call Diamond. I called Diamond and they said I needed to take to front desk. I decided I didnt want to spend my vacaction arguing with people. After 3 days I had the hotel manager come up to show him the room. He said that after we leave the room would not be rented out anymore. I did my presentation with Diamond and they said they would see what they could do. Both presenters said I never should of been in that room but, of course no one could do anything about it. They didnt want to do anything for me because I did not upgrade my membership. I was also told that Hilton (they are now partnering with) does not like the sampler packages by the first presenter. Nothing was done by anyone. They all said they didnt have authority to do anything. When I came home I called Diamond and after trying to get some fair compensation they offered me 129.00 credit that would normally be charged to extend my package time limit. They charge you 129.00 during Covid just in case you couldn't use your points before they expire. The workers I spoke with including a manager couldn't do anything more. My advice to travelers....use air b and b's. You get much better places and bang for your buck. Oh...to be fair to the hotel manager, he did give me a 50.00 Visa card. Don't take it as they then will say that you accepted their compensation and that will be the end of it. read more

I was just contacted for solicitation. After I advised that I was not interested at this time in the travel credit offered, and would contact them back at the number they contacted me at all went downhill from there. When I attempted to confirm the callback number, they disconnected the call. I found this to be extremely unprofessional and rude. There should be up training offered for the development of improved customer service skills. Any remote interest in exploring future business endeavors with them, were squashed by this experience. Dont even bother with the presentation. They "GIVE" you gifts to go and listen to a 2 hour presentation. We decided not to purchase and got a voucher for a cruise. It took a $50 deposit, two weeks for Odenza to reach out via email... the email basically said you can not book between March and August unless you want to upgrade. I did ask for those options but was never given those prices... I was told that I could book the promotional cruise for Dec 9th.... that was it. That was the only option for the cruise. I couldn't book between March and August or before or after December 9th. Seriously??? It took our "travel agent" a week to advise there was only one date possible. This was a waste, Diamond Resorts and Odenza suck. read more

I attended this presentation today. I had already done my homework. Just wanted the free gift (100 visa and a 5 night cruise). The presenter gave a nice speech where he showed a hotel room with 2 beds and on the other side showed a 5 star beautiful house. His comment indicated all 5 star properties with DRI. I asked in the presentation if I could sell my points if I didn't use them and was told yes. Later, when I asked the consultant I was told that I could not sell for personal gain. When the top dog came over he contradicted the consultant and said I could. I asked to see the contract and he couldn't or wouldn't produfebit. He then said I couldn't sell the points. I showed him where I could rent places right in the area for 60.00 per night through DRI. he asked where I found it. Also showed him the 1 and a half stars for the rating. Needless to say he knew I was onto them. I asked for a copy of his figures and he said I couldn't keep them or even make a copy.
