Absolutely horrible service...got the reflexology pedicure hoping it would be relaxing. The lady didn't massage my feet...she just stabbed me in the the foot with a sharp stick for five minutes. This is an amazing spa and even though you have to make appointments I have found that I can normally be seen even if I call the day of. I had the best pedicure of my life here. They used hot stones and warm towels. The attention to detail is impressive. I also have had my eyebrows waxed 2x here. Whoever the lady was who did the waxing the 2nd time was really wonderful. She really took her time and pampered my skin. The only drawback are the prices. It's incredibly expensive but what I do like is that they have specials. This is about as far from an ordinary nail salon as it gets. The "basic" pedicure includes aromatherapy AND hot stones, and you would not believe how good it feels to have hot stones placed on your calf muscles. I went to Diamond Spa to get a pedicure and was told they would not be able to assist me. I looked at my watch it was 5:25pm and they closed at 6pm so I was very confused. They said it took 45 min so therefore they could not do it. I am not one to argue with people who don't want to stay 5 min after work to perform a service I would pay them for. I went here for the first time yesterday. Very clean with nice staff. The manicure and pedicure were great. But I also got a brow wax because I couldn't make it to my normal salon. I'm a bit butchered -- I was very clear about wanting thick brows and just needing a cleanup and somehow that was understood as "I want to look like Bette Davis." I have a work trip tomorrow and look awful. Luckily, they grow back quickly but I can not believe I paid for this. So in short, the nail staff is great but beware the waxing. So bad. I love this place! They do the best eyebrow waxes!! I have sensitive skin so I always look red and ridiculous all day, but this place uses cold compresses and lotion and I don't look like a freak when I walk out. They take their time and comb your brow, wax, and trim. I highly recommend them. Plus, they do great job with pedicures. I love the massage chair. Lastly, they give you a massage after they paint your nails. It is great. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the two times I got a manicure they left bubbles on my nails. From now on I will stick to just pedicures and eyebrow waxes. read more

Great mani-pedi's including a hot stone to work out kinks and a mini upper body massage while your paint is drying. I've had the same caliber of service at Christie's in Manayunk but of course, the environment was not as high end or as expensive and Diamond Spa has a WEBSITE which is great! I love that they operate mostly by appointment ony. The staff was sweet as can be, catering to you the whole time you're there. I recommend Diamond Spa if you'd like to treat yourself to something special (no need to make this your regular spot if you cannot afford $55 for a mani pedi) or someone else. I didnt have any other services done but I will be back for a facial or an actual hot stone pedicure. Overall I enjoyed the experience and the fact that they have discounts to help out us recessionistas who like to stay fab on a budget (they're always running some sort of 10% off special). Really a great place. I can't remember my technician's name but she was very, very sweet. Took her time with me, and I love a place where the technicians don't have an attitude. As I always do at salons, I messed up my one nail, and she fixed it for me. I do wish they had some music on or something, and $18 is a bit pricey for a standard manicure, but I enjoyed myself, my nails looked great, and everyone was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice. When I come home to Philly I will definitely go here. It was definitely a step up from Babi, which gets worse every time I go there! read more

The service at the diamond spa is horrible! The management here is very poor, especially Jane. She was sooo rude to me and had a careless nonchalant attitude. If it wasn't for the wonderful masseuse named Robert this place would go down in flames. I have gone here in the past to have services such as a pedicure and manicure and I would not recommend. For the price they don't really want to do much but rub your toes and their polish colors are very limited. This place was great! Its clean, quiet and peaceful. I got a manicure for 15 bucks, which included a hand and arm massage and a hot stone back massage while my nails were drying. If you pay cash, they discount you 10%-- so in essence it cost me 13.50. you can't go ANYWHERE in philly and get that. I recommend it to anyone and I will definitely be a regular. read more

I just had my deep tissue massage here today and boy I tell you it was a treat and then some. I have to give my shout out to Victoria because it wouldn't have been any close to being a hit without her. I've had massages in the past but she was outstanding! She made me feel so comfortable and I didn't have to explain much about my problem areas.. she knew what she was doing. She applied enough pressure when necessary but she balanced it out with soothing techniques that defintely out classed some places I've been to in the past. In addition to a great massage, she used hot towels often and that elevated the whole experience. I was thinking of how and when I should come back during the massage, it was that good! To be honest I generally liked this place -- good price, nice massage atmosphere, the smells of the manicures wasn't too strong when walking in, it wasn't too loud, the cashier was nice -- but the male massage therapist was definitely grabbing way too much tits and ass. To be honest i've had many male massage therapist and i have never had this experience -- i opened my eyes at one point and looked at him and he generally toned it down but was still too grabby for my taste -- and like i said, i've had MANY massages and quite a few males as well. Before I tried Diamond Spa, I investigated another near-by spa in Chestnut Hill. As I entered, no one spoke to me. While I looked over the services menu, the girl behind the counter glared at me as if I were burdening her with my presence. I decided at that moment that it didn't matter what they had to offer- I would not be supporting that business. So, I walked a little further down the hill to Diamond Spa. I immediately was happily greeted by the girl behind the counter and a few of the manicurists at their stations. After the experience I had at the first spa, I knew that this was where I would truly be able to relax and enjoy myself. And the services are very reasonably priced! I have had the SPA PEDICURE and DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE here. First, the Spa Pedicure. Yes, it is expensive. Yes, you can get something called a "pedicure" at other places for much less money. However, the Spa Pedicure is so much more. They massage you with hot stones. They cook your feet in hot boots. Your feet are not even feet when it is done. The Deep Tissue Massage (with EJ) is heavenly. She really knows what she is doing. Worth every penny. The salon often runs specials (check their website). Although the services are worth the full prices they charge, it is always nice to save money. read more

I went with two girlfriends to Diamknd Spa last weekend. We had a great time. The manicure and pedicure were both fantastic, made better by the hot stone massage that accompanied each. Both of the nail techs were very detail-oriented (much appeciated). Probably like many women, my nails usually start chipping three or four days post-manicure. One time I smudged my mani twice during drying and my gal patiently fixed it (twice!) with a smile. I've been to Diamond Spa on several occasions, usually to get a massage by Robert, who by the way is a good masseuse. On my last visit, which was June 19, I got a Brazilian wax and a pedicure. Susan did my waxing and did a great job and was very quick. The pedicure was so so. The spa is pretty laid back and somewhat classy so don't look to get designs on your toes... The owner seemed to be a little rigid but I guess he makes up for it by giving the customers a fairly decent product. I will definately go back for a massage and waxing, not so sure about getting a pedicure. I like designs on my toes...hint hint owner of Diamond Spa. I got the 90-minute deep tissue massage. The quality of the service was excellent! I wish I could remember my massage therapist's name so that I could give you my recommendation. My only complaint is that staff members (I assume) were hanging out in the massage area of the building, laughing and talking. I received truly amazing service at Diamond Spa. I had scheduled a bachelorette style spa day for my friend (the bride to be) as well as myself and the other bridesmaids, Roy and the ladies at Diamond took fantastic care of us and where incredibly accommodating with a few of our last minute changes. We all got manicures, pedicures(great color selection in both regular polish and gel), and massages (they were even able to do a maternity massage for one of our bridesmaids who is expecting). The environment was clean and very relaxing with soft music and wonderful herbal smell. I visited Diamond Spa last week for a Spa Pedicure and Swed Massage. Both were amazing!! The manager and staff were so accomidating that I can't wait to go back. I was very pleased with both services and both are worth their costs, which are reasonable compared to other spas. The massage in particular was one of the best I have ever received and I go on a monthly basis. I had a male masseuse (don't remember his name) and he adjusted the massage acordingly to what my body needed. He ever ran out to feed my parking meter so I didn't get a ticket!! The only adjustment I would recommend is that after the massage is over the masseuse wipe off the oil from the client. I was very oily after and had to use the sheet on the massage table to take the excess oil off so it didn't get on my clothes. I will be going there for my massages from now on! I was pleasantly surprised and extremely thankful...Normally I get a Mani and pedi that costs me about $40 bucks and I am always feeling dejected and disappointed...now normally when you are pampering yourself you are supposed to walk out feeling like you accomplished something good and if its a good pedi you have a pep in your step...my normal place is so rushy rushy especially when the open seats fill up and people start lining the walls, they sometime don't even massage your feet...so when I came upon Diamond Spa and received the most glorious service I have had in a LONG time I was taken aback...I thought okay don't get too happy and don't show any emotion but when the technician offered to put money in my meter I knew then and there I have found my private nirvana...really for me its the little things in life...besides the fact that the ladies are polite courteous and obviously take pride in the service but my husband enjoyed it too...and that is saying a lot! what really put me over the top was that after my manicure the young lady gave me a mini back and neck rub...OMG! have you ever had a chair massage while drying your nails...PURE HEAVEN! I thought I would try this spa as I was in the area. It was a very relaxing atmosphere. I love that their television sets were muted and "spa" like music was playing in the background. The technician was friendly and thorough, but unfortunately my gel manicure only lasted 4 days. A gel manicure at my regular salon lasts two plus weeks. I was very disappointed that I paid $45 plus a generous tip and four of my nails are already chipped/peeling. read more
