A place I never knew of I was taken here one night for dinner. It is a place where you can look at…read morethe menu and then sit down waiting for the order to arrive. It is simple and plan. Nothing fancy. As it was, there were not many tables taken at that time yet. But within 30 minutes the place packed up. It was locals who know this is a the place to go, grab a beer or cocktail, then sit down and wait to see what you ordered. Burgundian is a meal to enjoy while having conversations with many others. We started with the IPA beers we ordered. They also had good German beers to select. There are even other European beers available. The list is endless to have. First up to arrive was our Traditional Canadian Poutine. This is House Fries served with Cheddar Cheese Curds, hot beef gravy and fresh scallions. This can be a meal unto itself and is ideal with the beer. We also received a kids meal for a little one. It was chicken fingers and fries. It was so large an adult could have had this for dinner. There was enough left for the next day's lunch. It was fresh, tasty, breaded, and warm. Ideal. There was also Burgundian App Sampler Platter. This was a mix of 2 Arancini, 2 Halloumi Cheese Sticks, 2 Crispy Polenta "Fries" , 2 Wings served with a choice of dips. Again, it could have been a dinner, but with others it was a good dish to share while waiting for the dinner to arrive. We started with US Staycation Burger, switching the beef with chicken. It had melty Three Cheese Blend, Shredded Lettuce , Pickles, and topped with Burgundian mayo. Naturally there was a side of fries and a small salad. It was fresh and tasty and had a flavor to enjoy. Naturally, had to have Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffles. Buttermilk-Fried Chicken Thigh coated in house seasoning. There was creamy Memphis slaw, a spicy sauce you can select and a good hot honey drizzle. The waffle was fresh and enjoyable and ideal for breakfast as well. This was perfect for dinner or breakfast or anytime of the day. One special they did have, and which is not easy to find, is a good Germany Burgundian Currywurst Sausage Dog. Made with a true grilled Knockwurst Sausage it is on a toasted roll that is topped with smoked gouda cheese and caramelized onions. There is curried ketchup which is a variation of what you do find when you order this in Berlin. It too had fries on the side. The taste was good. It was similar to what I remember when living in Germany. And it is a rare find in many restaurants. But here it was. And with a German beer, it was good. Overall, Burgundian is a place to find. It is not easy, but it is there. It is small and simple. You enter and order at the counter. You can go from Beer to a coffee. From an Appy to a meal. The portions are large. The prices are good. The team is good to work with, ask questions and help. This is not a fancy place, but they will take reservations. Your choice here. A true mix of flavors, and cultures, and ideas on what to have next. I will go back just for the Currywurst. Danke.

Food: food was alright. Parking: there is a small parking lot in front, and a parking lot in the back around the corner as well. Seating: different level of seating, not wheelchair accessible. Red chairs are not comfy. Booth has a feet railing, which is nice.

I always drive past this place on my way home from the Wrentham Outlets. I finally got around to…read moregoing inside. My friend and I went on a weekday night, about 2 hours before closing so it was pretty quiet. I initially thought the bookstore was only on the first floor of the building but turns out it's a multi-story experience. There is a parking lot at the back where I parked and I was able to enter through the back door (not sure if this is the main entrance). On the first floor, they have some books, bathrooms, a check out desk, nick nacks (hats, stationery, puzzles, etc.), and most importantly, a coffee shop. The coffee shop was closing up around the time we got there so plan accordingly and do some research on their hours. as they are not the same as the bookstore. The books are clearly labeled by genre. After taking a stroll, we decided to check out the second floor which was supposed to have a little market, a stage where they host events, and some very comfortable couches along with tables and chairs. I mostly came to see if a book spoke to me, but also to get some reading in from the book I brought along with me. The lighting is good, although I sometimes prefer to have a dimmer setting for a cozier feel. We spent about 1.25 hours here, but we could have easily spent a longer time if it weren't so close to closing.

I can not express to you how kind, compassionate, and happy the workers are here. There's always…read morelike 20 people working and every single person from the books to the kitchen staff is happy and cheerful and so kind. Honestly, this is refreshing as corporations understaff and stress their employees. This local owner know what we the patrons want, we want people who are happy with their jobs and that's done by great staffing. This is my go to for any gift. Yes, you're paying more for a book than you would on Amazon but this is the opposite of a greedy corporation who screws everyone. This is truly local and I'm lucky to live 20 mins away.

A SPECIAL PLACE TO TASTE CULTURES AND FOOD. Even when you…read moreare outside of Boston you might be in the mood for a meal that is different than what you expected. Maybe you want a bit of Italian food. Or maybe it is Latin food but not fully Mexican. You can not tell, but you know you want something different. It that is the case then you need to take a back road and look for something different. When doing this with friends we found a small place that looked like a hole int he wall. No cars outside. No one inside it seemed. But when the clock hit 6pm the people started to arrive. And in large numbers. We were lucky to have a reservation and get a table when we stepped inside. Inside it was different. Papagallo is a truly family restaurant. Even the younger of the family managed the front counter to check-in. We then went to the table with our menus. This is where we started. And it is some menu to consider. There is everything. You can find Italian, South American with specialties from Columbia. There is fish, meats, and even vegan if desired. It is all there. It can be a way to combine meals from all regions that you can try. Nothing will stop you. It also helps that the waiter will tell you of the specialties of the day and answer any questions you might have. And he will go into detail on this. And he can take your order without writing it down. Of course, the first thing to do is order a drink if you wish. They do have a bartender how can make anything. Naturally a good way to start is with a dry martini. That was filled to the top of the glass. It was ideal. We also had some special Spritz cocktails that were good and strong, but sweet enough to start the meal. Starting with appetizers we did have calamari which was not traditional Italian style. It was more Colombian in nature. It is lightly breaded, fried and tossed with garlic wine butter, sliced cherry peppers and tomatoes. Finished with a dash of parmesan cheese. But, it does have a spicy twist to it. And they were perfect. We also had an order of zucchini flowers that were covered and fried. These are rare to come by. Many restaurants do not even offer these or know how to make them. This was special as no one makes this except at home if you grow the zucchini. This was great. For the main entrees we went all over the place. A bit of everything that we could share and enjoy together. It was that good to share and experience. The special course was the Mofongo Relleno. It is a Puerto Rican favorite consisting of fried, mashed green plantains with garlic, olive oil and Chicharrónes. It is then sautéed with peppers and onions stuffed with chicken. It is a simple dish but nothing you can ever have outside of a Puerto Rican restaurant. And here it is alongside Italian dishes and New England seafood. Next up was Haddock Florentine. This was different. It is baked haddock topped with spinach, grape tomatoes, and crispy bacon in a lemon wine butter sauce. Served with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The sauce is a mixture with Pinot Grigio. It is tasty and light with just enough flavoring. From this we went to Salmon Oscar. It is grilled Atlantic Salmon served over Lobster ravioli with mushrooms, grape tomatoes, and asparagus in a sherry cream sauce. It was truly fresh with fresh caught salmon. It was a good taste with a good portion to go with. The meals were truly enjoyable and had a special taste. Cooked fresh you could have more since the portions were ideal. Naturally, after the meal there is time for dessert. Starting with an express, what more could you want. There was Italian desserts and South American desserts. But this being a special time we went for the Tres Leches. A tres leches cake is a sponge cake originating in North, Central, and South America soaked in milk. It is a very light cake with many air bubbles. This distinct texture is why it does not have a soggy consistency despite being soaked in a mixture of three types of milk. We also had the Pistachio Cake. This is a special cake that is truly light to the touch. Moist, fluffy pistachio cake made with a yogurt batter base and topped with a pistachio butter glaze is an elegant, but easy dessert. Toasting and grinding the pistachios yourself adds a little work, but results in a deep, rich, roasted pistachio flavor. In the end, this was a special meal to have on a special gathering with friends. It was a place hidden down a street not far from where we were but never knew of. The family is wonderful. They run this shop from the front door and into the kitchen. It is their way of presenting a taste and style many of us will never even know of. The meals are good. The portions are excellent. The pricing is perfect for what you will receive. Our compliments to the Chef and the team for offering a special meal. Papagallo. It is a mixture of cultures and tastes for everyone.

Our server was lovely and made some recommendations. We tried the spicy and sweet calamari app and shrimp fajitas and I tried their famous mofongo with shrimp. I was so glad to try this - the outer crunchy plaintains were perfectly seasoned and the jumbo shrimp were cooked just right. The sauce made me want to lick my plate. The cocktails were generous and beautiful. So luck to have such a great place to eat nearby with a huge assortment of offerings. The food came out quickly and we were done in less than an hour. I highly recommend it!
