Peanut Butter Oreo Ice Cream w/ Fudge and nuts

Great small ice cream place. I suggest the peanut butter Oreo. Prices are decent, two ice creams for around $9. They have tables out in the front.

Though Eskimo King is still my favorite seasonal ice cream parlor, The Purple Cow is definitely my second. It's a great seasonal addition to the back end of Seekonk. Though the parlor is small they make great use of the space. the side parking lot has ample parking spaces . They have several picnic tables and benches that are placed out in front of the building if you choose to dine on the property. The building is always kept clean and is easily accessible. They have a large updated menu that lines the take out windows and they also installed an ATM machine near the order windows for customer convenience. The prices are incredibly fair and comparable to other local vendors and the staff are always pleasant, accommodating, and quick. during peak season hours you may experience a line but the staff move at lightning speed to keep wait times minimal. It was a pleasure to visit this wonderful establishment this summer and I am hopeful The Purple Cow will continue to thrive in the community for many more years to come. If you decide to visit I'd suggest visiting right when they first open. it's a lovely business but they aren't equipped to handle large crowds. I hope they'll be able to on board more staff as the weather gets nicer because the 30 min wait in a line that goes 20 people deep can deter even the most loyal patrons from returning.

Hands down the best ice cream in the area. Hidden gem! Try the Maine Black Bear - you won't be disappointed!

This might be my new favorite ice cream place. We usually go to Briggs in Attleboro but we are not a fan of the atmosphere there. Here at Purple Cow the employee was friendly and polite! My husband got a soft serve in a cone with the kiwi flavor add in and she politely explained us that it is mixed in throughout which was a nice heads up. I got a cookies n cream medium sundae with Reese's pb cup specialty topping and let me tell you they do not skimp on the toppings! The ice cream was yummy and creamy as well and I was happy with the amount of cookie dough bites in the ice cream. Overall a good first experience and we will definitely be back to try other things!

This is a great little place! Their blueberry pie seasonal flavor is delicious. Lots of fun flavors, including flavored soft serve. They are cash only but there's an ATM on site.

I now live on an island - and you bet that when I went off-island last week I requested that my dad stop here on the way home from Hyannis. My dad had to say yes; having worked in the ice cream industry in his youth, he knows a good cone when he sees one and Somerset Creamery tops his list as well. Embarrassingly, we got there 10 minutes before they opened. We camped in the parking lot. When it was time to go in, I already knew what I was getting. Chocolate mint ice cream in a waffle cone. First of all, it is the best ice cream flavor ever created. Chocolate and mint ice cream with Oreo cookie pieces. What else could you ask for?? And then their waffle cones and made fresh and they are oh so good. The service is always great, and they now take credit cards!! I cannot recommend this place enough. The only downside is that they do not have any dedicated seating, inside or outside. There are some planters of sorts that you can sit down on. Once I sat on one for three hours for a first date - can't say I recommend that. But if you want good ice cream, come here! (Yes, it is better than the Barn in my opinion).

They have a huge selection of flavors, and every time we go in I end up standing there longer than I planned because there are so many tempting choices. It's the kind of problem every ice cream shop should have. The ice cream itself is outstanding. It's fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor without feeling overly heavy. Every flavor we've tried has been excellent, and it's easy to see why this place has developed such a loyal following. In my opinion, it's the best ice cream on the East Side. Just be prepared to wait if you're stopping by on a nice evening. The shop is fairly small inside, and it's not uncommon for the line to stretch right out the front door. Thankfully, the staff keeps things moving, and the wait has always been worth it. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the ice cream and the generous portions. Parking can be a little hit or miss since it's mostly street parking, although there are a handful of spaces behind the building. Somehow we've been lucky the last few visits and managed to grab a spot right out front, even when there was a long line. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because the small space and limited parking can make visiting during peak hours a little less convenient. Once you have your ice cream, though, it's hard to complain. If you're looking for fantastic homemade ice cream in Providence, Three Sisters absolutely deserves a visit. Just bring a little patience if you're going on a warm summer evening.

They were finally open on a Wednesday when I was in the area - really appreciating their new extended summer hours - so some friends and I walked over. This is located in an easily walkable part of the city where street parking is pretty doable, so it's a great stop to work in to a friend hang or date night since it's near breweries and restaurants. I had my heart set on the Ube, but the other flavors were awfully tempting - I'm dying to come back for the Fruity Pebbles taco and/or ice cream sandwich ASAP! I ordered the Ube ice cream sandwich, which came on coconut cookies, was dipped in white chocolate, and covered with coconut flakes, for $6.50. The ice cream color was bright purple as Ube often is, and the cookies were soft and perfectly melt in your mouth despite being frozen. I was advised by the owner to let it sit for a few minutes before eating as they start out very cold. I could only stand to wait a few minutes before diving in, which ended up being a fine amount of time. The flavors were decadent, the Ube was so sweet and indulgent, like an extreme vanilla as I always describe it, but with a root/woodsy note to it that's hard to explain. I was totally in heaven while eating this! My friends loved their options: Thai iced tea sandwich, Fruity Pebbles sandwich, and Banana sandwich. The pistachio sandwich was reportedly a little too mild for some tastes. My friend got their limited edition ** corn and blueberry!!** flavor sandwich - WHAT!? So unique! I had to steal a bite and was pleasantly surprised - I didn't get blueberry in my bite, but it was like frozen corn chowder - not savory, but still a distinctly 'corn' flavor, not corn flakes, but true, actual, corn. The cookies were thin and square shaped and seemed like a cross between cornbread and a sugar cookie, although I'm not exactly sure what it was. I'd go back here to try more things in a heartbeat, and the amazing and large plants on display in this little shop give such a fresh, unique, and fun vibe. There are some small tables to eat at while you're here which came in handy for us, and the owner even let us hang out a few minutes past close, stating he'd be there anyways cleaning, so we didn't have to go wait outside in the rain - so sweet on all levels!

So worth it. We will absolutely be returning as it seems they have flavor drops weekly

We didn't mind though because it gave us time to go through their massive menu. They have lots of soft and hard flavors, along with sundaes, shakes, and much more. My friend was set on trying their Dubai chocolate ice cream until he saw that it was a massive cup with an overwhelming amount of ice cream and toppings. Since we both decided on their apple pie ice cream, we shared their medium size ($6) to save a couple dollars compared to two smalls. We sat outside, but their tables are far, with very little lighting so it was sad. The apple pie ice cream literally taste like the first bite of vanilla ice cream over a slice of apple pie during thanksgiving dinner, without the cold and hot combo you get with the real experience. This is a seasonal flavor so it only comes around September, but I would highly recommend. I thought their prices were fair and aligned with most ice cream shops.
