    Cheese pizza!!

The pizza is different--but the gentleman working here explained that to us prior to ordering. My daughter said it is her all-time favorite pizza. We loved it and especially the location--right next to the TN theatre!!

We were in the mood for pizza and DiCarlo's had a 2 slice special for $5. Perfect. We also got a couple of bottles of water for $3. Fair prices. When the pizza came out, we were surprised to see unmelted shredded provolone on top. But it did melt on the hot pizza slices! Great idea. The sign said "taste the best" and it was. We enjoyed the crunchy on the bottom and melted cheese on top. We also like the choice of programming on the tv - Let's Make a Deal & Password. Nostalgia! The bathrooms were clean and big enough for a wheelchair. I'm always cognizant of this since my girlfriend needs wheelchair accessible places to go. Inside was also accessible - wide areas, with tile that looks like wood planks. The gentleman who took our order and made our pizza was personable and efficient. He told us that his was the only DiCarlo's outside of Ohio AND with indoor seating. This was a pleasurable lunch venue with good pizza and good service!

Ohio Valley style pizza is definitely not for everyone and I would not say it's my favorite style of pizza but I am happy to see it come to Tennessee, nonetheless. If you are not familiar with the concept, Ohio Valley, (or as we used to call it Stubenville style) pizza bakes the crust and sauce then adds shredded cheese and pepperoni after the bake. It sounds very weird but the crust is actually really crispy without being cracker thin and there is something about the cold cheese that just works. Personally I prefer just cheese but pepperoni is always an option. You can also order extras like banana peppers and marinated mushrooms on the side. If you are really just thrown by the cold cheese concept they do offer a pizza roll that is fully baked, cheese and all. The inside of restaurant looks great. White tile and red chairs are simple but clean and inviting. The staff are friendly and happy to explain the concept to those that are unfamiliar. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the drink selection. They have only been open a few days so I'm sure it could change but the drink options were bottled water, glass bottle coke and Milo's sweet tea or lemonade. No sugar free options besides water. I thought $4 for coke or sweet tea was a little steep but they do offer a larger selection of 2 liters for only $1 more. Drink selection aside I am sure I will be back soon.

When I approached It was very nice, giving Italian. Not that much busy. The pizza slices were $3.50 each. If you are lactose intolerant, I will say they are heavy-handed on the cheese. I personally like the cheese. It took eight minutes for the order to be ready. It wasn't that bad and the crust was not dry and it was puffy. Oven baked, of course.

this is literally the best calzone i've ever had. i wish i had taken a picture before!

As you can see, broad daylight and they are closed

Ignore the posted hours on this website as the restaurant is RARELY open. In the last week I have gone to the restaurant twice during business hours to have some pizza and both times they were closed. They are presently running a VERY limited schedule that honestly is impossible to keep track of. In fact, the hours on the front door have been hand painted over with in order to change their schedule, VERY tacky. I will say this, *"when"* they are open, their pizza is fantastic but catching them open during the week is honestly a hit or miss. Very poor way to run a business, especially in a college town.

Delicious spin on pizza! Toppings and cheese added fresh after baking. The service was pleasant and prompt. It had the feel of an old school northern pizza joint. We will be back and highly recommend if you're looking for great pizza with a different approach.

    Great customer service!

We both got a different 8 inch pizza because we couldn't agree on one. We narrowed it down to the Hawaiian with pepperoni and the Rocky Balboa. The 8 inch would have fed the two of us just fine with four large slices per pie, but as I said they had so many flavor combinations that we wanted to try we could narrow it down to one pizza. The pie did not disappoint. The crust was cooked to perfection, the sauce had great flavor, there were plenty of toppings. The staff were so friendly. The food came out fast. On several visits, we have specifically requested that our garlic cheese bread and salad arrive before the pizza so we can actually enjoy the appetizer and salad course first. Tonight, we again had a very clear conversation about this request, yet everything arrived in the exact opposite order. What was most frustrating was being told that "the pizza comes out when the pizza comes out," as though there is no ability for the front staff and kitchen to coordinate timing. In an open-concept restaurant where the order staff and kitchen are working side by side, it seems like simple communication could easily solve this issue. We truly enjoy the food and want this restaurant to succeed, but proper pacing of a meal is part of good dining service. Appetizers and salads should enhance the experience -- not arrive simultaneously with or after the main course. We hope management will take this constructively because the food deserves service that matches its quality

There isn't enough time for the pepperoni to cook and yield it's flavor to the slices. Two cheese slices 5.49. Two topping slices 9.89. Almost double the price. Make that make sense. The space is cozy with about 4, 4-tops, a few outdoor tables, and a bar along the wall with stools in case you come in for a slice and soda deal at lunch time. We ordered breadsticks, a salad, a thin crust with pepperoni, and a stuffed pizza with sausage. They told us that we couldn't order the thin crust with half no cheese (for our lactose intolerant kiddo who still loves sauce, crust and toppings), as a heads up to anyone with similar dietary restrictions. This is due to the cook time being inconsistent for the cheese versus no cheese sides of the pie. We were asked if we were dining in or ordering to go. We opted to eat there since we live a decent distance away. Our breadsticks and house salad came out first, packed for transport and no plates or silverware were provided. They seemed confused and a bit annoyed when we asked for some. The breadsticks tasted like butter and parm doused funnel cake fries and the salad was fine...served its purpose but nothing special. Our thin crust came out next and was fresh and fabulous. My husband felt like it was a bit more overcooked than when we previously got it. Tons of cheese, slightly sweet sauce and crispy pepperoni. It is cut into squares. Lastly, our stuffed pizza came out. Again, no pie server given and we needed one desperately for the thick and gooey pizza. We waited awhile to get our requested pie utensil and then struggled to cut the pieces with our thin plasticware. The pizza was extremely fresh and tasty, however! If you are wondering what the difference is between the deep dish and stuffed, the stuffed is almost like a pizza sandwich. One pizza crust on bottom, toppings, and then another thin crust on top of those before spreading a thin layer of sauce. The crust is thicker than on a deep dish, too. I am sure that we will get pizza here again at some point, but never ever will we dine in. The trash was overflowing, every table wobbly and in need of cleaning, and unfortunately very uninviting service. They seemed quite miserable.
