We stopped by South Coast Pizza during a sporting event in Knoxville! It was a beautiful day and they have a large outdoor seating area outside - large picnic tables - and booths and more picnic tables inside. Menus, silverware, napkins and plates are available on a table when you walk in and you order at the counter and pickup at another window. We ordered the massive slice of cheese and pepperoni ($3), cheese sticks ($7), small Caesar salad ($5),and green monster pizza! The order was ready extremely quickly and we dived in - everything was hot and fresh. Kids liked the huge slices of pizza - thin crust. The cheese sticks were amazing - big and fluffy - only about 6-7 in an order but would highly recommend. Pizza was delicious - pesto base with chicken, arugula, feta. We ordered the medium and the pizza was filling. A great stop if you have kids or are craving pizza - lots of different speciality pizzas or you can build your own. read more

Wow! First time I visited South Coast Pizza and I decided to pick up a pizza and a salad on my way home. 12 inch supreme with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, green peppers and I asked him to leave the green peppers off. Which they did but you're going to be totally shocked when you see my supreme pizza for a 12-in pizza 6 slices and there were only six pepperoni slices and the way they cut the pizza they cut the pepperoni slice in half so they could say I had more than one pepperoni on each slice. This was a pickup order to take home and I got in the car and looked at the pizza and could only see five pepperoni slice so I took the pizza back in to tell them I have never seen a pizza with only five slices of pepperoni now they did point out I did have six but when they put that one on it got folded over and mushed under something. I asked if this is a way they always make a pizza that's supposed to have pepperoni when one of the slices had no pepperoni whatsoever and they said yes but they'd be glad to remake it for me. I gave them the other Pizza back and they said you can keep it and I said I would prefer not to take it and they said well we can't take it back once a customer touches it. So I said fine I'll throw it in the trash when I get home. There was not even very much sauce on that pizza nor was there much cheese. I'm going to post a picture because I could not believe a supreme pizza would come with only five or six small slices of pepperoni. I spent $44 two drinks one small Greek salad and a 12 inch supreme pizza which had hardly any toppings. If they make their pizzas with any less ingredients there won't be much to eat but dough. I have not checked my Greek salad but if it's anything like the pizza I won't be back. I'm sure they don't care but if you want good pizza go to Tennessee Pizza in Seymour they know how to make pizzas and they have great service read more

We were in town for a short weekend and attempted to try as many unique places as possible. We tried this place because it was close to where we were staying g. It also offered a unique baked potato pizza, a combo of two of my favorite dishes. We also tried a pepperoni slice and a meat lovers. You really can't do bad pizza can you? This pizza had all the right combos. The crust was nice and chewy and not too thick. The sauce was tasty and was a proportional amount. There was a generous amount of toppings and everything was very flavorful. The baked potato pizza was a very interesting and tasty combination. I would absolutely recommend it and get it again. Overall this is a great pizza option and I will go back any time we're back in town. read more

Pizza became the day's comfort food as we sat indoors on that chilly afternoon at a varnished picnic table, doled out slices of tasty "pie" on paper plates and listened to thunder and the pouring rain make loud music on the tin roof. We placed our orders at the bar, the Aegean and ham/pineapple, and we picked them up from another counter. Both were loaded with plenty of toppings, and the crust was thin and crisp. We ordered soft drinks from the counter and filled the cups ourselves and retrieved our paper plates and plastic ware from a buffet table in the back. For dessert, we chose ice cream goodies from a freezer by the bar. A couple of pinball machines sit at the front of the restaurant, along with a rack of T-shirts for sale. Had the weather been nicer, we may have chosen to sit outside on the covered patio. Overall, I would return to this casual eatery. The food was good and the prices seemed reasonable. read more

Don't bother getting the cheese sticks, no garlic and hardly any cheese. The pizza was good, good char, nice undercarriage. Sauce was good and tangy but could've used more cheese on the pie (stop skimping!). My one bite review would be 5.9 read more

The pizza is a 2.5 stars at best. I also got the dry rub wings and they were overcooked and very dried out. Maybe I just went on an off night, but I have no idea how they have as high rating as they do. If I'm being honest Dominos is better. read more

This joint has real good pizza. Thin crust, good cheese and toppings. A solid atmosphere and very friendly staff. In fact the last time I was there I forgot to ask for light sauce. They are so fast it was too late to change which was fine because it was my fault. That didn't matter they made me a second pizza on the house just so I was happy. We placed our order two hours in advance, and it was still over 20 minutes late. when we arrived the restaurant was almost empty with employees just leaning on the counters on their phones. Despite that, our food came out burned and completely inedible. It's pretty ridiculous to have that much notice and that few customers and still serve food this bad. Gluten free crust is also vegan. We order the Aegean GF, with no mozzarella or feta and add vegan cheese. Staff is usually pretty knowledgeable and helpful in navigating our choices. We also get the AMBC Lady Shredder GF, no mozzarella, no parmasean and add vegan cheese. They have a good selection of regional canned beers and sours and a few beers on tap. They also have Frog Juice Kombucha which is a plus. On our first visit staff was a bit edgy and I'd have left a four star review. But on several visits since then the edgy staff are non existent so bumping it up to five well earned stars. There is a variety of seating including big picnic tables booths and outdoor seating. Ordered the meat lovers with mushrooms and when it came out order was not right they did not put mushrooms on it. They did remake it and made it right and even gave me the other pizza. I previously ordered South Coast for an event but it was gobbled up before I could try any (*insert crying in a corner from pizza envy). I finally got to give it a try when a friend was in town and it lived up to the hype! What a quirky, casual, and family-friendly vibe inside. They also have a sizable outdoor seating area. You order at the counter and they call your name when your order is ready to be picked up. The young dude working the counter was clearly not excited about helping us, but we got in our order, grabbed our drinks, and took a seat. Silverware, paper napkins, and paper plates are on a nearby table for customers to self-serve, along with the soda machine. We wanted to see how they did a classic staple and ordered the Trois Formage (Red Base, Garlic, Mozzarella, Swiss, Cheddar, Fresh Mozzarella) and added pepperoni. After about 15-20 minutes, our name was called and our lava hot pie was ready to rock. We noticed that our pizza did not visibly have pepperoni but just assumed they put it under the cheese. Nope. I met up with my teammate and friend Lindsay H at South Coast Pizza before a Yelp event recently and we enjoyed some deliciously cheesy pizza. The space inside is eclectic and interesting, with lots to see, including some empty(?) fish tanks. They have some outdoor seating, but we opted for inside as we'd be outside for the whole event. The menu is as eclectic as the decor, with sweet Thai chili sauce, buffalo, and ranch as options for bases. Their specialty pizzas include Korean BBQ beef, gyro pizza, pizzas with pub mustard bases, and more. It was a bit overwhelming as I've never seen some of these combinations and it was tough for me to imagine what they'd taste like. I'm not a picky eater, so I probably would've liked anything, but we kept it simple and went with the trois fromage: red base, garlic, mozzarella, swiss, cheddar, and fresh mozzarella. We asked to add pepperoni as well. The pizza was done fairly quickly and was super hot. The amount of cheese was impressive! Super cheesy and delicious. They forgot or maybe didn't understand our request to add pepperoni, but the cheese was more than enough. I liked the sauce - it wasn't too sweet. No service to speak of- you get your own beverages, they call our name out and you walk up to the kitchen counter and they hand you your boxed pizza. The pizza itself is great and they have a solid beer selection in addition to soda, & iced tea. I'm a regular at lunch time. It's worth the drive from Market Square. read more

Pretty much perfect pizza South Coast used to be my go to Pizza joint. Times changed and I tried some others bigger stores, newer shops even small chains. Suddenly it occurred to me. Why did I ever leave South Coast. I went back and found like true love, it can withstand the test of time. OK, so, it's pizza. It prepared fresh, just like you order it, and actually cooked all the way through and supposed to say Pizza Hut. Great beer selection; local regional and craft beer. Stopped by on a warm spring day. I ordered the Babalu pizza, which was a mix of barbecue and buffalo sauce with chicken and onions. Highly recommend not too spicy. The dough that is used for this I think really made the pizza stand out. I'm assuming they make their own. My friend had the deli pizza which looked smelled, and she said tasted good as well. They have parking on the side of the building, never had an issue with parking even on their busy days. I love that they have plenty of outdoor seating as well as inside. We typically order inside and get a beer and sit outside on their adirondack chairs while we wait for our pizza to be ready. All their pizzas are so tasty and delicious, I've tried multiple different ones and none of them have been mediocre or disappointing. Everything is great here you can't go wrong! Always ask for extra ranch haha it's sooooooo good! Also a plus, even when it's busy you're never waiting a long time!
