    2 Two Meat Plate Special (Polish Kielbasa Sausage and brisket) with baked beans, slaw, and an extra side of creamed spinach.

    We came in the day after Christmas for lunch. My husband and I have eaten at this location twice, and enjoyed it. Today we came with my adult son and daughter in law, who were in from Ohio, and had never had Dickey's (so they had a lot of questions), and my stepdaughter, who lives in Chesapeake, and had also never had them. Nevertheless, our orders were still quite simple. There were only two employees working. One seemed extremely knowledgeable (the male), but the other (the female), seemed completely confused. My husband and I ordered the 3 meat combo to share, with double brisket, pulled pork, fries and green beans. My stepdaughter ordered a 6 count of chicken wings and a green beans side. My son ordered the Old School plate with brisket, polish kielbasa, bbq baked beans, cabbage slaw, and an extra side (creamed spinach). My daughter in law ordered the pulled pork sandwich plate. with mac n cheese, and baked potato casserole (an extra side). Her meal was supposed to include a large beverage. We also ordered 2 small beverages, and I had a free 'Big Yellow cup'. When the total came out, I thought that it sounded higher than it should have been. It turns out, that the female, the one who seemed completely confused by our order, had put a 2 meat platter onto our bill, which we hadn't ordered ($14.95 plus tax). They got our order wrong, and plated a baked potato casserole on our platter, which I noted that we hadn't even ordered. She said that she heard me say something about it. Well yes, I did ASK the other employee about it. But I didn't order it. They didn't give my son any sauces for his platter, which he should have notified them about, but he didn't. My daughter in law was supposed to get a large drink with her pulled pork sandwich combo, but I had to argue with the female about it, because she had already handed me a big yellow cup... the one I was getting free with my app. She ultimately handed me another large cup, then said, "whatever". Most aggravating, the female rang up all of our meals with sides that we hadn't even ordered, because they're all priced the same. But it makes the receipt difficult to read as a customer, because the receipt doesn't reflect what we've actually purchased. She was just putting in random sides. Also, according to our receipt, most of us all got pulled chicken (when technically nobody got pulled chicken). Still yet, when I brought it to their attention that we were charged for an entire 2 meat plate that we hadn't even ordered, the male employee did kindly and efficiently reverse the charges for it. Since it appears to be a struggle for the female employee to accurately get the orders correct both on the plates, and at the register, I don't understand why they aren't writing down the orders. Even as she was ringing it in, she was so confused, we ran it back twice for her, and she still messed up. Also, as a customer, I would appreciate my receipt accurately reflecting what I ordered and paid for; not just random items, which again, makes it even more confusing for all involved. Overall, the man was efficient, helpful, and knowledgeable; the woman employee was argumentative, confused, and rushing us through. We were the only people eating at the restaurant, so they weren't at all busy. The quality of the food was excellent; the meat was flavorful, and we'll likely return again, with hopes that they can work on the customer service side.

    For a chain restaurant, meh it's ok. The meats didn't really have that much flavor or tenderness. Had to use their bbq sauces to mask how plain it was. Came in on a Saturday, ordered 45 mins to an hour ahead of time, came and had to wait an additional 20ish minutes. Low staffed, only had three people working and of course the lunch rush didn't help. Overall the food was alright, nothing popped out. They were out of pulled pork, couldn't order online because their place don't do online so I had to phone it in which was annoying. I paid extra for a cornbread and they forgot it :(

    Ate here for lunch at 12 noon by myself. Was the only one in the restaurant at the time. The pit 1 special was a fair price for amount of food and included a small drink. My food was fresh and tasted very good. Resting fairly clean. Bathrooms were fine but could use a remodel. The associates were polite. As well as helpful. Food prep area looked aged but still clean. I would return.

    I came here for dinner on the first day that I was in town for work as I was not in the mood for something unique and random. The restaurant was mostly empty and some of the chairs were already up on the tables. I had no issues with what I ordered as if you have been to one Dickeys, you have been to them all. The side dishes might change depending on region. There were no overall issues with my meal. Just nothing spectacular. I can't say that I would be back as it is a Dickeys but it didn't make it so I don't want to go to another. I will go to Dickeys again.

    Food was cold. Barbeque tough and unable to eat and also cold. Ice melted in drink and was lukewarm. Terrible experience! A waste of money!

He was delightful to talk to about the menu and honestly gave such a great vibe to the eatery. Before today is say we haven't been all that impressed with BBQ options on the east coast. There's one other place that was alright but Wild Waylon's BBQ knocks it out of the park. And if I'm being frank, Wild Waylon's is better than some BBQ joints I've been to in Texas. We will have to make the trek out here again, and this time with friends, to enjoy one of the best restaurants in VA. What we got: Jalapeno pepper poppers - 5* what a delicious side! Until today is yet to meet a restaurant that made a better jalapeno popper than myself. Wild Waylon's has officially won the unofficial competition. I will be putting rubs on my bacon henceforth and hopefully will be able to reclaim my honor. Do yourself a solid and order this side. Beef rib - 5* my partner missed my face when I took my first bite and that's probably a good thing. This was the highlight of the meats Wild Waylon has to offer. If I remember correctly it's smoked for 24 hrs and boy does it shine! The meat literally fell off the bone when I picked it up for my first bite but that didn't stop me from diving in with my fingers. This one does not need any sauces, it's flavour is strong and good. Baby back ribs - 3.5* honestly, probably closer to 4 but when compared to the beef rib no other rib can compare! What I loved about this one was the crispy-ness on the underside of the rib and dipping this one in the various homemade sauces that are available in store. Pork Belly - 3.5* we tried a slice but saved the rest for leftovers. It was good and even better dipped in a sauce. I really liked the texture and am looking forward to eating the leftovers. Much like the ribs I think I am having a hard time judging this one without comparing it to the beef rib. Brisket - 3.5* we tried a slice but saved the rest for leftovers. It was decent and kind of melted in the mouth. There's probably a little room for improvement with this particular dish but it's also a good one to let the sauces shine. Baked beans - 5* woooah, these are fantastic beans! Coleslaw - 3* decent coleslaw. It wasn't anything amazing but we appreciated having it as a palate cleanser between meats and spicy sauces. Pickled jalapenos and onions - 3.5* this is spicy and delicious!

Unfortunately, our last two visits have been marred by the same new server who was consistently rude and dismissive. On our most recent visit, we waited over 10 minutes before she approached our table. My husband ordered a meal (he loves the BBQ), but I cannot eat the smoked food due to stomach issues. I simply ordered a rum and coke with lime. She responded with "Pepsi?" and later repeated back only "Pepsi" when confirming the order, completely ignoring the rum portion even after I emphasized it. When my husband requested sangria -- something the bartender has happily made for us on previous Friday/Saturday visits -- she insisted they don't serve it and that he must have had it on a Sunday. We never visit on Sundays. Later in the evening, we moved closer to the fire pit because it was cool outside. She brought our water over and checked on us a couple of times. We told her we were fine. Toward the end of the night, my husband went to the bar to order another drink (as we've done before when the server isn't readily available). When it came time to close out our tab, the server arrived with the manager (Nolan) in tow. His presence felt awkward and accusatory -- as if we were about to skip out on the bill or posed some kind of problem. When we expressed confusion, he said he was just there to "warm his hands." As longtime, regular customers, we found the overall treatment disrespectful and off-putting. We tried speaking with a manager afterward to share our experience, but it didn't seem to go anywhere. We genuinely wanted to continue supporting this spot for the music and atmosphere, but after two poor experiences in a row with this server and the strange handling at close-out, we will not be returning. There are plenty of other options nearby.

Service is great, friendly, professional, very helpful, and what they have made a business out of - just like all the other locations I've visited. The menu is the same as well. It was so much better than the sausage I got. The sausage was cooked great, had a nice smoke, but was bland and tasted almost like a boring ham. It definitely needed a sauce on it, and the staff recommended their mustard sauce, which I thought was really nice. In fact, my favs on this visit were the KC, Mustard, and Nashville Hot Sauce. I was there during the noon time period where the National Anthem plays and it was great to see all the patrons participate in the Anthem. Of course, the restaurant's staff participated and that's GREAT! Mission not only makes chain BBQ great, but they help to keep Making American Great Again too!!

Both were good, lean just a touch dry but not horrible. Cole slaw: good. Was worried when I sat down because there's no s&p on the table.....didn't need it. Peach cobbler: star of dinner. Nothing beats hot peach cobbler, even if it's just "pretty good" cobbler. Overall: food was good. Nothing spectacular, but solid. Much better than my first trip. Service was excellent (it wasn't super busy). Ambiance: sort of a Texas locker room/military/fire department sort of thing going on. Pretty ok. Cons: food doesn't stay warm long on a metal tray inside a cold restaurant. And out of 7 choices for bbq sauce, not a single "really good" one. The Memphis sauce was probably the best of all 7. I'll go back. This experience was so much better than the first time. Did not take fresh pictures.

The guy running things in the trailer was very friendly, clearly the owner. They offer all the typical BBQ joint menu items (Brisket, Pulled pork, Pulled chicken., Ribs, etc) and all the typical sides too (beans, slaw, green beans, corn bread, etc). I also liked that they have about 6 BBQ sauces, all made by them and all different styles/flavors. We got a pulled chicken sandwich and a brisket sandwich. For sides, we opted for their cole slaw and baked beans. I also got one of each of their sauces to try. Prices seemed fair, at $28 for this order (what I said we got). Getting home and cracking into our order - The slaw was 'ok' but seemed to be lacking depth of flavor (celery seed and pepper) and had a slightly off taste. Plus, the container was filled about half way. The beans were really good! Nice flavor, spice, and sweetness to them. Next was to try the sandwiches... My wife got the pulled chicken sandwich and as soon as she unwrapped it, she thought it was pork, as it looked chopped and was in extremely small pieces. She tried to eat it and wanted to enjoy it, but the texture was like sawdust, as it was chopped so finely. For me, I got the brisket and when I opened it, I felt like the beef was a little overdone, but the flavor was decent. The texture was tender, but slightly dry - it definitely needed sauce. As for those sauces - My favs were the mustard and the Texas - Both were flavorful and really nice. Overall - Not bad, but if I went back, I would totally try other items.
