I am only leaving a 5 star review because 10 stars is not an option. The main breaker to our house had gone out so we had no power. We'd called around trying to find someone to help and every electrician we called was booked out a month in advance. This was all happening in late July during a heatwave of multiple 100 degree days. We had to get a hotel for the night. Packed up the toddler, Wife, and dogs in the car, and headed to a hotel. This was a huge ordeal on its own especially with how HOT it was. Even though we had somewhere to stay for the night. It was so stressful not knowing when our home would have power again. This is where Peter and Dickinson's Electric enter. My wife got a referral from her "Mom Group" on facebook for Peter. They said that he "Is amazing and does a fantastic work." Turns out both of these are understatements. Peter was on his day off when he answered the phone. He easily could've told us he had a full schedule, because he did. They were also booked several weeks out. After talking to my Wife and hearing we didn't have power to our house, that we have a baby and we were having to stay in a hotel. That was all Peter needed to hear. He dropped what he was doing and came straight over. After testing our panel he said " I can absolutely fix this. I will get started right away and I'm not leaving here until it's done." I don't know if any of you have seen an electrical panel get replaced but its a very time consuming ordeal. The kind of job you'd start first thing in the morning and spend most the day on. Peter wasn't able to get started until after 2pm. He had the power back on to my house at 6pm. I hung out and we chatted while he worked. Not only does he do top notch electrical work but I really enjoyed our conversation throughout the day. Having had a very stressful day or two I really needed the conversation. Peter is a genuine, honest, caring person that dropped everything he was doing on his day off to come save my family. I don't think words can really portray the impact Peter had on my family or how thankful I am that people like him actually exist. Without question call Dickinson's if you need an electrician. I always find it stressful to find the right, honest, affordable professionals for jobs that I can't do myself, so for years, I've put up with some poorly working fixtures. I wanted to replace a high, sloped ceiling light, change a bad ceiling fan to track light, and install boxes to convert 3 fluorescent tube fixtures to LED. I am so glad I chose Dickinson's Electric because Michael and Brian made the whole process stress free! They were very friendly, attentive to detail, and patient with all my questions. Michael was very adept and efficient at cutting holes and fishing wire to make quick work of the job. He also went the extra mile in helping with a smoke alarm. They stayed late to wrap up the job. The team from Dickinson Electric was superior. They set the appointment and called us in advance to alert us and remind us of the appointment so we were ready to receive them. There was no messing around, as they worked really hard for 8 hours straight, and finished the job right at 5 pm. The result was amazing. We are thrilled with our new kitchen dimmable LED down lights, and dimmable under cabinet and over cabinet LED fixtures. This modest kitchen lighting renovation has totally transformed our kitchen and home. The Dickinson Electricians even recommended and carefully set the color temperature of each fixture so there was no clashing of warm vs cool white. Peter, Tristin and Gannon worked on our electrical problem today. They were excellent. I was going to work on this myself, but I was glad that I did not and had sense enough to have these professionals do it. What might have taken me a week or more (as a DIY project), they did in about an hour and a half. I also may have never solved it on my own. They found the defective receptacle that was interfering with the circuit, replaced an old GFCI receptacle, replaced the receptacle that was causing the problem, replaced a faulty circuit breaker and checked to see if we had power to a dishwasher. I was impressed and appreciated how smart they are and were able to do all of this quickly and in a friendly way. It was worth it, to have them do this work. It was money well spent. read more

Erick and Tristin were wonderul. I had a job that seemed impossible to do without tearing the wall apart. It was in an attic bedroom with lack and plaster and a newly wallpapered and panneled wall. After looking at options, they came up with a way to wire for sconces without messing up my wall. They were creative in their approach, skilled, and left me with a clean hole that can easily be covered back up with the origional trim. Great work! read more
