During the process of moving a lampshade broke off my floor lamp. I have spent a couple of months trying to find the lampshade. Finally, I decided why don't I call Lamps Plus where I bought the floor lamp!? When I called the sales associate, named Courtney, looked up my former purchase, which is several years ago, found it and found the model number for the lampshade and the website where I could order it. I was totally impressed with her efficiency, her positive attitude and her willingness to do research to find my lampshade. Highly recommend Lamps plus. My new lampshade is on order!! Lamps Plus has a huge, diverse selection of lighting fixtures and home accessories, but what sets this store apart is the top-notch customer service. The employees are nice, super helpful but never imposing, and go above and beyond to understand your needs and offer ideas and solutions. Every employee is knowledgeable and helpful; but even amongst this crowd, Erik really stands out. I've been furnishing a new condo that is a different style than my previous home, going from traditional to modern. Almost every table lamp, chandelier, floor lamp and occasional table has come from Lamps Plus and Eric has helped me every step of the way. He knows lighting and the affect it has on creating atmosphere in a room and function. When I wanted to buy a large glass cocktail table but hesitated because it required assembly, he and Dallas in the warehouse department, assembled it for me. Now that is customer service! I can't thank Eric and Dallas enough! The table looks amazing in my new living room, it's exactly the look I wanted! Erik also helped me with dimmers, remote controls - all pre Alexa technology - that totally works and makes life easier! Plus Edison light bulbs that really elevate the look. Now let's talk selection. Some people think that Lamps Plus is a low cost lighting store. Sure, they have offerings in the low end, but they also have gorgeous higher end designs and quality. I love their European line, Possini, which is high end and affordable. Similar in style than some famous designs but substantially lower priced. Friends who visit immediately comment on the various chandeliers and tables, complimenting them and asking where I bought them. Always shocked that the answer is Lamps Plus. If you are in the market for any type of lighting and lighting accessories, definitely visit Lamps Plus. The store is loaded so take your time because it is easy to get overwhelmed. Having so much product is great because you can see the actual size and finishes, and make comparisons easier than if shopping online. Look for Erik or any of the employees and they will help you navigate the store and offer suggestions. Listen....this is the Ritz Carlton of lamps. You are VIP. You feel like a star from the moment you walk in to the moment you drive off. I was way hecka bored one Sunday and wanted to shop to get me out of my funk. But not like mall shop, or food shop...no...but lamps. Lamp shop. I had bought myself two really, extra cool, tall gothic matte black matching lamps from a estate sale. But sadly....one was broken, the little metal part holding the bulb to the top of the shade was snapped apart. So I thought there was no way to really fix it but to get a whole new shade we had been told. But noooooo....that takes all the dark vibe energy and look away from my lamps, as the shades were metal too, which was THE very cool part to them! So...new shades...nope, not happening in my mind. But... we came here looking at shades anyways because husband thought they wouldn't carry that little part to fix it. I pouted my way into the store with him, sulking behind. We had a moment to ourselves looking at all the walls of shades until a nice gentleman came and asked if we needed anything. We told him our situation with our lamp, and by the way side note...I had no idea there was so many moving parts to lamps...like this is a serious business. Shape of circular bulb to fit into the metal or plastic or ceramic plate with dome/drum/oval/sphere with normal fitters or spider fitters, etc. I don't know, it's just a lot of technical stuff. Our guy had to run off but he got us another lamp genius and to our excitement...they had the part we needed!! YAY! The cool thing too, our girl asked us a few simple questions about our lamp, and then opened up a Knick knack drawer with tons of little pieces and handed them over to us at no cost! She said nope, they are just extra pieces. She also gave us a couple different sizes just in case the other one didn't fit. I was instantly happy again, and because we were so happy with this service, we ended up deciding to get our bar lighting fixture and dining chandelier there that very same trip. The ceilings in this store were a ocean of diamonds and rainbow-ey prisms shining bright like a heavenly theatric light show. They took down the bar lighting show fixture for one of them as they had no more boxed up. But they packed it up so nice and carefully. They called us by our Mr and Mrs, They then carried everything out to our truck, and waved us goodbye. If you are in the market for lamps...this is your place. You HAVE to check it out! We went in looking for a light for my parents Christmas gift. After looking around at other stores all day, we finally decided to drive to Beaverton and we're glad we did! Everyone there was polite and welcoming. Keith went especially above and beyond by arranging to take a light down right then and there so we could have what we needed. They even carried it out to the car for us! The service was top notch and they even shipped us a spare light bulb after finding out our light bulb didn't work when we got home. I did make a purchase but the experience at this store left me wanting. Walked in and was pretty much ignored by the sales staff. I complained after I got home and received an apology and an invitation to return from the store manager. I did return and was shown a few items (lamp shades and lamps) that were along the lines of what I was looking for. The lamp I purchased turned out to be very poor quality. The lamp shades were very high quality and I continue to be very happy with them. Exactly what I needed. So they are one for two. Not to mention less than attentive/helpful sales people if you are a walk-in customer. I need to buy a floor lamp and have been looking around to see what in-store options are available in my area. Looks like Lamps Plus is one of very few choices unless I want to take my chances ordering something on-line. We shall see if my next experience with them is any better. read more

In the last 15 years between 2 homes, we've purchased about 6 major fixtures and several lamps and other small items through the Beaverton store. I've had three of the major fixtures develop problems. Lamps Plus was spot on in dealing with it each time, working with the manufacturer to replace the fixture or parts, even when the warranty was in question. And when I had purchased the wrong sized item, the return/replacement was seamless. For our current home, I did all my fixture hunting online, but chose to order the major fixtures through the Beaverton store (even though we're in Vancouver now) because of their past customer service. SO GLAD I did. I just now called them about one of the fixtures I purchased 2 1/2 years ago that stopped working. In less than 5 minutes, they let me know that a new one is on its way. I can't imagine the number of phone calls, photos and emails that would have been necessary if I'd ordered online. I LOVE them! read more

Seems like a very nice large quantity of lighting and cealing fans. I went in for hard to find LED lights for a bar. The gentleman seemed confused and sure didn't have any but checked the computer. He learned there was such a product and they had 4. I bought them all. The price was pretty good. I couldn't even find these on Amazon. I recommend trying and going here. Very nice place. read more

I was just in Lamps Plus to find the right bulbs for a particular setting and Antonio was so helpful in listening and finding just what we needed to set the mood and not be too bright. He also spent a lot of time helping sort through an issue I was having with a fan we had recently purchased. The fan is great but it was installed by our electrician using a non-proprietary wall switch and they weren't compatible. With Antonio's help, we found a solution. Other staffs seem quite friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic about helping customers as well. Of course, it's simple and easy, might also be cheaper to just get a lamp from home depot. However, getting an opinion from someone who sells and who knows about light will be very helpful before you make a purchase. Our home renovation contractor sent us out to shop for ceiling fans. Given my experience with Home Depot and Lowe's, I knew better, and having previous positive experiences with Lamps Plus, they were my huckleberry once I discovered they carry a wide array of ceiling fans. Unlike other posters, we were greeted in short order by Erik Ireland. He was full of peritnent questions and proved to be a wealth of knowledge. Long story short, we bought three ceiling fans, a decorative porch lamp, three sconces for our bathroom re-model, a beautiful new dining room light, and a large mirror. When a product arrived with damage, she had no problem taking it back and issuing a refund. She then spent time with us to find the right replacement. Deceitful sales practices. Bought a couple lights through them for delivery to my home. Was promised free light bulbs were included in the box and none arrived in my delivery. Called customer service when I received it only to be told no bulbs were included and there was nothing they could do to help. Additionally, one of the lights arrived with missing/ broken parts. I can't believe I'm old enough to be writing a review of a lamp store, much less from my phone in the parking lot. I was just in to pick up a lamp we ordered about a week ago. When I came in to the store, my intention was to look around, get an idea of what I wanted, and order on Amazon. Well the store employee, Dane, spent a solid hour helping and going through options. Even changing bulbs in the light so I could see my different options. Needles to say, his passion and product knowledge earned my business. So two huge lights later, this will be my go to store forever. Best bonus? Any bulb you but here, it's warrantied for a year. Betting in your burnt out bulb and they'll replace it and the YEAR STARTS OVER! The store manager, Robert, was incredibly friendly and accommodating as well. Fantastic crew. I just installed an absolutely beautiful chandelier that I purchased at Lamps Plus a couple of months ago, and so I was inspired to write a review. Don't get me wrong - I love love LOVE the chandelier and front porch light that I purchased from this store. The quality and selection of fixtures that they have far surpasses Home Depot and Lowes. The quality of the merchandise is the only reason I am not giving them one star. The service was abysmal both times I came in. The first time I went in looking at porch lights. They have a huge display wall showing off the options, and I was perusing their selection for at least 15 minutes while waiting for one of the many salespeople to help me. No one approached me asking if I needed assistance (and you pretty much NEED assistance as their entire floor only has display units, and their stock is in back). They had a ton of people on the floor, but I don't know if it is because I look young, or what, but they kept talking to people who came in after me, and no one acknowledged me. I ended up having to stand around at the front desk area for an extended period of time before someone would help me simply check out. The second time I came in, I didn't even mess around with asking for help on the floor - I came in, took a picture of the tag of the fixture I already knew I wanted, and went to the front to try and buy it. I literally waited at least 15 minutes for someone to even look at me, and I just wanted to give them my money (hundreds of dollars!) and get my chandelier! Both experiences were annoying, and I get really angry when places make it hard to buy something. read more

We went to the store to see a lamp we wanted to look at. They only had one left and it was missing the final which the sales person said someone must of stolen it. We asked if they had one for it and he said we would have to buy it adding cost to the lamp. Never heard of such a thing. We had a couple of other questions but he just turned and went and started talking to some other customer. He was very rude and with that and wanting us to pay extra for a part that was taken by someone else was more than I we could handle, so we just left and will never go back. Went in today to purchase lighting for our retail space. Couldn't get help to save my life. The selection was good, no complaints there, plenty to choose from. Not sure if it was the time if day, 4pm, but my wife and I stood at their front counter for over 5 minutes without getting help. This is while a manager is around the corner sitting in his office, and another employee stood 5 ft from us setting up some floor display. There was nobody else in the store shopping when we came in. Finally the manager came around the corner, asked if we'd been helped. When we said no, he hesitantly walked us back to where WE were guiding him to ask question. On the way, a sales girl comes up from the back and he passed us off like he couldn't wait to get rid of us. I understand delegating tasks, but it was a clear rush off. No questions asked about what we're looking for, our needs, interests, nothing. From a business owner and sales person, this is poor service. Only this locations selection saves them from one star. I'm not a negative person, but this type of customer service is what loses you business. We have a 10,000$ lighting budget for our retail boutique and it's going elsewhere unfortunately. read more

This place is really big and has a myriad of styles, finishes and applications to look at and choose from. We walked in and instantly got excited! We've been to numerous lighting shops, and not to put them down for lacking a huge showroom, but it sure makes it easier to form a concept when you can look and touch different products. We walked in today continuing our 4 month search for 5 lights. Stacy greeted us immediately and helped us throughout our ever-changing ideas of what we might or might not want. She was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. We walked out w 1 double-tiered chandelier and 3 kitchen pendants. We saved $300 on the one and just under $25 ea on the pendants. Stacy is going to do some research and try to find us the perfect entry light that we are so darned particular about. We're happy campers!!! read more

I wandered into this store after someone recommended it as a good place to get ceiling fans. They do have a lot of ceiling fans, all up on the ceiling where they're not entirely easy to examine but where they do give you a darn good sense of what they look like spinning around on the ceiling. Within seconds of walking into the store, a nice employee came over and asked if i needed help. I told her what i wanted, she helped me find it. She printed out copies of the information so i could take it home to think on it. Ultimately, i ended up buying through the website instead of going back to the store. The prices were the same as in-store, and no worse than on any other website i checked. read more

I needed a barrel lamp for a small sitting room. The selection at Lamps Plus was very good, and I did find something that fit my needs on sale. The only problem was that the lamp extended too far from the ceiling for the designated room. With the staff's assistance, I was able to get an alteration and am very happy with their service. Note: Shopping at Lamps Plus on a weekend requires a certain amount of patience. While they are staffed well, transactions tend to take time and you must wait for someone to assist you on the floor. I recommend going during the middle of the week instead. read more
