I ordered Birkenstock Arizona shearling sandals and was really looking forward to getting them in the mail. Just received them today and the box was so beat up and even had tape on it as though it was taped closed. I opened the box and there was supposed to be a size 9 but instead it was a size 8 . This place, this location is amazing! I'm a new soccer Mom so I had no idea what I was doing or getting. Every employee went above and beyond to help me get everything I needed and at a price that didn't break my bank. I will highly recommend this place and location over any sporting good store and I say this because I had went to Academy across the street and when I asked questions or needed help no one could help. It was a "Let me see if I can find someone that can help you" and never return or "I'm not really sure". The people at Dick's Sporting Goods really know what they are talking about. Purchased neoprene shirts online but they were way too small. Went to Dick's Cedar Park to return/reorder. The person initially helping us at the counter did not know how to do an online reorder for a new size and asked Jacinda to help us. Jacinda was great. She walked with us to the kiosk, replaced the order including contacting customer service to get a code to ensure we received the same discounted sale price as when we initially ordered the shirts. They won't see any more of my money. Stopped in Monday 11/19 to purchase a GT Stomper Boy's bike. Filled out the purchase order and was assured they would have it built by the next day at noon. I was even talked out of just taking the bike in a box and assembling it myself. We were leaving town for the holidays so we delayed our departure time so we could stop and pick up the bike. Show up, and the bike is still in the box, and the excuses began to fly. Promised it by the following day. I say "okay" and leave town for Thanksgiving. The store calls Wednesday 11/21 and says the bike is ready. I tell them I'll be by once I get back in town Saturday and they promise it will be there with my name on it. I show up Saturday afternoon and they had sold the bike I had ordered to someone else. The excuses this time were all centered around Black Friday which makes no sense since my name was already on the bike to be held. They tell me they don't have any more of that bike even as I'm staring at that exact bike on the assembly stand. I ask "what about that one?". "Well, someone bought that one yesterday". Excuse me? You know that you sold the bike that I ordered, and yet you sell the last one, don't bother to call me, and waste my time going back up to the store? Very unprofessional. This is likely why they can only get GT and lower-end bikes into their store. Thanks for nothing. It's my son's birthday tomorrow and now I have to run around all night to find a replacement. I received an email from Dicks for being signed up with my Score Card stating they were having an additional 25% off guns clearance. So I decided to drive to Dicks and check out the sale. I decided to purchase a pistol and the guy behind the counter asked my for my license. I handed him my valid driver license which does not expire to my birth date at which the DPS cut the corner of when I renewed the driver license early which should arrive next week. They told me they would not sell me a gun with the I.D. in this shape. The DPS told me the license is a 100% valid and that it only lets an officer know that a new one is being issued if you get pulled over. At this time I stated that to the employee and his comment was to come back when I get my new I.D.. The cut did not cut of any of my identification nor did it cut of any of my current resident. I used this I.D. three days ago to buy a Ruger 10-22 from Academy with no problems. I have a clean record and the background check that Dicks would have run would have shown this. AT NO PLACE DID THEY HAVE A SIGN STATING THEY WILL NOT SELL A FIREARM IF YOUR LICENSE IS CLIPPED FROM THE DPS. IT STATES A VALID STAE I.D. AND THIS IS WHAT I HAD. Dicks, now I know why your store is empty. I will never walk into your store again. PS, your shit is over priced anyway compared to Academy read more

I was suprised to learn that they will refuse to honor what is listed on their website inside the store. They would rather have you wait three days and pay freight than take care of you on the spot. Some stores have the winning price guarantee and price match amazon, this one doesn't. I went in to buy a basketball that was 10 dollars cheaper on amazon and I guess that was too big of a price change. When I got home I signed up for the amazon prime month trial and got the ball for 43 instead of 59 and shipped and delivered the same day because Amazon has a warehouse close by. Free same day delivery! I wrote this just in case someone was wondering if this store price matched amazon and to inform you of your options since amazon is in Austin. read more

Nope. I disagree with a majority of the other reviews ... This store has HORRIBLE customer service. I went in today -- and received no help from the "dude" working the camping department. Then, I provided him with a picture of the ad, which he glanced at, only, and said "Nah. We ain't got none." If he spent just 25% of the time he spent on his phone helping me, instead, I would have purchased a product AND not written this review.
