Not only was she rude in the way she spoke to you but the looks she was giving me really showed she pick and choose who she wanted to help. All I went for was a pick up order. I'd called a number of Dick's Sporting Goods stores looking for a particular item for my granddaughter. I then called the Oswego store and talked with Abby. She is the most amazing sales person I've ever encountered. She went out of her way to locate the item and contacted me when she found it. DO NOT ORDER EXERCISE EQUIPMENT from Dick's. 3 NO CALL, NO SHOW APPOINTMENTS, 3 DAYS WASTED OFF WORK WAITING AROUND -- I wish I ordered from Amazon instead Dick's uses a 3rd party to deliver exercise equipment called Pilot Freight Services. So far I have had 3 NO CALL, NO SHOW appointments via Pilot Freight Services. Which means I have wasted 3 days off work waiting around, no one showing up and no one calling me. My first appointment for my treadmill was Friday 12/6. I waited and waited, an hour after the window of my first appointment passed I called Pilot Freight Services. They said they don't know what happened and had to reschedule my appointment for Monday 12/9. Again, no one called and no one showed on 12/9. I called Pilot and they rescheduled my appointment for Wednesday 12/11. I had told the lady on the phone at that point I had wasted 2 days off work waiting around for my shipment, she assured me that my package would come 12/11. Again, Pilot did not show or call me on their THIRD MISSED APPOINTMENT on 12/11. I now have a fourth appointment scheduled on Sunday 12/14. I have contacted Dick's customer service twice expressing my frustration with the 3rd party delivery service Dick's contracts with. Dick's passes the blame to Pilot Freight Services and is not accepting any accountability. If I had known it was going to take over 3 weeks to get my treadmill, and cost me 4 days off work waiting for my shipment I would have ordered from Amazon instead. read more

I walked in on a breezy Saturday at the crack of noon. I had one thing on my mind: Blow. Pop. Minis. I remember the exact moment i saw them at the check out line. I turned my head with a gasp, and as soon as my eyes made contact with the delightful package, I couldn't help but grin underneath my multicolored lego mask. I walked in the store a little after five. No one greeted me. I needed some swim equipment, but I couldn't find the department. There wasn't a single associate on the sales floor, and I walked through about one half of the store until I found what I needed on my own. When I walked up to check out, the checker was so busy talking to a young man who wasn't making a purchase, that he didn't say hello to me either. No words were exchanged until I had to interrupt his friend chatter to say I didn't need a bag. Pretty sure that received an eye roll... He shoved my receipt at me and was irritated when I asked him to wait for a moment while I put my debit card away. (I have a broken hand.). Lack of service, high prices. I walked in the store at the crack of 9:00 A.M on a week day morning and totally busted 9 or 10 sales associates (give or take) camped out doing a coffee clutch at the store entrance. I asked to be shown a specific product and two gentlemen "pointed fingers" in completely different directions as to where I might find it! At least, a laser pointer would have been a better choice than frickin' fingers. I literally became cross-eyed with this interpretation of customer service! But alas, a sweet young lady eventually tracked my footprints and helped me out. Was this her initiative, or did she draw the short straw? read more

Recently went to this Dicks location to exchange a North Face jacket that I had purchased awhile back for my son. The worker (bearded and blue apron) said that it was store policy that North Face items can not be returned or exchanged without a receipt. Although not happy, I understood and left. On my way home I stopped by the Dick's location where I often shop. I thought I'd see if they had any advice. Without skipping a beat, the worker told me there are two ways they could verify that I had purchased the coat - one through looking up the debit card it was purchased on, or through my Score card. All good in the end, but I will not shop at the Oswego location. read more

My review is only for the Oswego location on Rt. 34. I went in there a few weeks ago after a round of golf at Fox Bend. I wanted to buy a new fairway wood. I was very surprised to see many of the clubs actually locked to the rack! I hung out in the department for several minutes looking around. No one ever came to help. I left and went directly to the Naperville store. Not only was I greeted at the door, as soon as I walked into the golf department I was greeted there too. None of the clubs were locked up, the sales associate was very knowledgable and offered to set me up in the booth to hit any clubs I wanted. If it's not too inconvenient, go the Naperville location, not Oswego. read more

Gave this store my own tennis string for a racquet string job. Idiot stringer broke my string and blamed the string was defective. The stringer did not know how to work with that high quality string, thus breaking it. Punk manager all but threw the string at me, no refund, no attempt to keep my business. Guess why I haven't frequented since, and have convinced many others not to frequent, and will continue to do so? read more

Plenty of great things always in stock. Last time I was there the guy didn't give me my 50% off that's my only complaint.

Shop here about once a month and always have good service. The manager that tends to be by the registers when ever we come in is very friendly always greets us when we come in and says goodbye when we exit. (I appreciate the small things :) ) I was in a couple days ago and was helped in the golf department by a gentlemen (I wish I remembered his name) who was very helpful. read more

I bought a Fitbit at this store and had to return it because my wrist broke out in a rash. I wasn't sure if I would be able to return it since it was out of the package. I had absolutely no problems. The store manager on duty Wednesday, May 13th in the evening, was extremely friendly and helpful. An absolute pleasure to do business with! I wish I would've asked for his name to let corporate know how wonderful my experience was at this store because of this manager. read more

great store all around. always someone helpful around and they always have what I am looking for. Just went in looking for a really small part and couldn't find it, a guy came up and asked if he could help. Turns out they didn't carry the part, but the guy said he might have something in the back left over from another repair. sure enough he had it and just gave it to me. Horrible customer service - To Whom This May Concern, I just went into your store, Oswego, IL. My Mom had purchased one of the North Face Bionic Jackets online in a size Large. I tried on the jacket, and it was too big. So I decided to bring it into your store to swap it out for a Medium size. Two of your employees stated that it was fine to do so. I approached the cashier, and he asked for my receipt. I did not have my receipt because it was gift. The tags were still on it, and it had never been worn. The employee proceeded to tell me he couldn't accept the return - and was very rude about it. The customers surrounding me were staring at him in disbelief. I shook my head and left. I work in sales, and I know what good customer service is - you would think that this would be something with a good reputation would take care of, but apparently I was wrong. I don't think there is anything Dick's Sporting Goods as a company can do to make this right - but I know a lot of people who shop there and recommended me, and trust me - this won't go over well with other.
