While traveling through your city, My wife had a leaf spring on the tilt bed trailer break on a Friday at 3pm. She googled to find a repair shop nearby and found Diego. She slowly made her way to their shop and when she stopped out front she was met with some mechanics then crawling under the trailer and saying "back it up in the shop" I think we can get you going soon. They replaced the broken spring and had my wife on the road in a little more than an hour and a fee that was very fair. Yesterday we got our two vehicles stuck in a muddy field about 50 yards down a slight hillF. Triple A wouldn't help us. Took my Class B RV in primarily because it had a very serious shimmy when going down hill and I knew that meant the rotors were probably warped. Since I was taking it in anyway, I also got an oil change. $350 later I got it back with only the oil change done and a note in the invoice saying they "confirmed complaint of brake shimmy during light braking. Probably front rotors out of true." If I wanted confirmation, I'd have gone to church! I wanted the brakes repaired - which they didn't do. Nor did they give me the option of having it repaired, they just charged me for telling me what I already knew (and had told them). I would say that I was seriously overcharged for an oil change, but I have to add that they did also inform me (in writing) that I was low on gas - and I always have to go to a mechanic to find out if I need gas. I can't help but suspect that there was just a touch of sexism involved. read more

a call came one friday afternoon late company driver had an mishap in larkspur truck spun on sir francis drake smooth rear tires -the reason this occurred bobtail truck ended up in the bay grass, truck on it's side, driver ok, no hurt to his ass.. chp on the scene, keeping traffic flowing already called Diego truck to do towing. Courteous, responsive, fast, but in the end completely worthless. Truck broke down, they said they'd tow it if they could work on it, I agreed. Truck had a fuel issue, they dropped the tank after farting around and checked at my behest and found the pump clogged. After charging me over a grand they proceed to tell me the truck works now but I should clean the tank cause there's weird white stuff in it. They charged me all that but put it back together without cleaning the tank. Here were r months later truck won't start again looks like I'll be dropping the tank and doing what I had paid them to do. I would only use Diego again if it were my last resort. I mean come on guys, for real? That's how you do things, I don't get it. read more

Blew a rear tire out and was stranded on Labor Day in a Sears parking lot. Sears didn't carry the tire size for my Rv and there weren't any shops open, which stranded me for more than half the day. I have nothing bust good things to say about Diego truck repair. I bought an f250 diesel that unfortunately had a lot of issues that I was unaware of when I purchased the vehicle. I had a shop check it out up north but both they and the seller took advantage of me. When I took my truck to the guys at Diego, they walked me through everything wrong with the truck step-by-step, and helped me prioritize on what needed to be fixed now and what could wait. These folks are the BEST! Due to faulty fuel gauge I ran out of Diesel on Lucas Valley road. Doug came out with fuel and also showed me where the primer pump was located. I have a Ford Econoline diesel van. For almost two years I have had a hard time starting it when it has not been running for a few days. The local dealership could not figure out what was wrong and suggested a number of possible, very expensive options to try to fix the problem. Brian, the Diego Truck Repair mechanic, upon trying to start the engine, immediately, correctly diagnosed the problem as a bad starter motor and replaced it for a small fraction of the cost of the options offered by the dealership. We broke down on 101 northbound at Corte Madera, in rush-hour traffic.CHP called Diego's Who towed us to their shop. They determined that the transmission was blown. They let us stay in our motorhome in their yard for week while repairing the transmission. The staff were very friendly and accommodating,kept us informed about the repairs and got us back on the way ASAP. I would highly recommend this tow company and repair shop to anybody in the central California area. I'm amazed that I'm the first to post here. I brought my bus, an E-450 diesel, in for an oil change, transmission fluid change, and fuel filter replacement. Bryon and his team were fast, thorough and honest. They suggested I didn't need a fuel filter change (huge savings!), didn't need my tranny fluid changed (smelled clean), and that I should get the rear differential oil checked in 5,000 miles. I left with just an oil change, and a lot of extra money in my pocket. I was super pleased. And...they were fast! They did it all in under an hour. Super cool. read more
