The company was very quick to give us a time they were picking up our car and gave us a delivery day range. They did not communicate with us, however, that they keep the car until they have a full truck to drive. Understandable, but please communicate that with the customer. It didn't leave when we thought it would and that affected the delivery dates. Then there was that snowstorm! The car was going from WA to OH and I'm glad they didn't try to drive in the storm but please communicate that with us! The car finally arrived a day later than estimated, but it got here in good shape. The driver was very pleasant and did keep me updated by phone as he got closer. My only frustration with them was the lack of being updated as to progress of the driver. read more

Absolutly horrible experiance with Diesel Auto Express. They transported a truck for me that I puchased from a dealership about 4 hours away. During the process they caved the roof in on the truck. After 2 months of being given the run around they paid me 1/3 of the estimate to repair the truck. This company is an absolute joke. I have to pay out of pocket to repair a truck they damaged. Do not use Diesel Auto Express unless you like being stolen from. I accidentally sent an estimate for the wrong vehicle to them initially. The year, model and vin were wrong on the estimate not to mention it was from years before they transported my truck. I sent the correct estimate later and they still refused to make it right or to pay for the correct estimate. I had to pay 3k out of pocket to get my truck repaired that they damaged. read more

Did a west coast to east coast transport, overall a very positive experience. The car arrived within the specified time, without damage or incidence and the driver got as close as possible to the drop off address as they could (couldn't drive an 18 wheeler into residential). The one complaint would be the short two hour notice before pick up. I was given a 3 day window and expected a schedule the day before. However, on the last day of the window, I was called and told the driver would be ready to pick up in two hours. I had to rush home and rearrange my schedule that day, or wait another week. This was extremely annoying but I'm giving 4 stars because the end result was as expected. read more

Montway, who contracted with Diesel Auto Express to ship my car from the Houston area to Reno, Nevada and deliver it to an apartment complex. Both Montway and the driver from Diesel Auto Express indicated the delivery would take about 5-8 days (the driver specifically said 5-6), so I scheduled pickup for a Thursday/Friday because I knew I wouldn't be in Reno until Tuesday morning. Despite me making that clear, the driver arrived in just three days--on a Sunday night around 9 PM--two full days earlier than expected. Since it was Sunday night, the apartment office was closed and there was no management available, and all the visitor parking was already taken. The driver parked the car under a covered spot and claimed it must be visitor parking because there were no numbers on the ground, but I could immediately tell from the photo that it was premium resident parking--most apartments charge for covered spots--and I could see the spot numbers posted overhead instead of painted on the pavement. I was worried the car would be towed, and the only other option was to move it into an empty but numbered resident spot and hope it didn't belong to someone. First thing Monday morning I called the office, explained the situation, and thankfully they were willing to contact the tenant whose spot the car was in to confirm it could stay there until we arrived Tuesday. The tenant agreed, and I had the driver leave the key in the gas-cap area since the fob can't be locked inside the car. When we finally arrived Tuesday morning, I found the passenger-side window rolled all the way down. Nothing was stolen, but we did have items in the car that could easily have been taken. Overall, this felt completely avoidable--if I had been given an accurate, or even reasonably close, delivery estimate, arriving two days early late on a Sunday night wouldn't have created a parking, security, and key-handoff situation like this. read more

Sent my Father-in-law's car from Spokane, Wa to Atlanta, Ga. The pick up was tricky and delayed by a few days. This caused some headache since we had already left Washington and I had to leave the car with a friend to handle for us. They were supposed to pick up on Thursday and ended up picking up Sunday morning. This was really frustrating as we were left in limbo. However, they delivered the car safe and MUCH earlier than expected, in only 4 days. They did communicate, but kind of last minute on the pick up and drop off as I was only given roughly an hour to make accommodations for both, but overall we are happy with them, and would use them again. The only thing that could have been better was the initial inspection of the car. The driver asked me to digitally sign the inspection before I could review what he put on the inspection. I asked to see the comments and I don't think he knew what I was asking, slight language barrier. After signing, I received an email a few minutes later with pictures of the car from all angles and a description of the cars condition that was very accurate. We had *** excellent *** service from DAE! We shipped cross-country from Bellingham WA to Florida. Pickup was on a Monday and delivery on a Saturday, a few days earlier than we'd expected. This caught us a little off guard, but DAE was able to shift the delivery to the town where we were visiting family. Not only was there no additional charge, the earlier delivery saved us a lot of money on car rental. Jeep and trailer both arrived in perfect condition. This company currently has my car in transit from Texas to Washington but has not communicated with me at all. Originally my car was supposed to be picked up on Monday the 15th, then they said it would be Tuesday the 16th. I was set to fly to Washington Tuesday morning, so I left my key with someone to meet the driver on Tuesday. The driver never came, and we never received any communication. I called several times- different numbers- and I texted too. I finally got ahold of an actual person but still had to leave a message and still received no call back. On Wednesday morning I received a text saying the driver was delayed 3 days! I tried again to call and get more information and still no response. I finally got a text from a driver on Friday the 19th saying the pick-up would be that afternoon. Later, I got call saying that it would be midnight. I had to ask the person with my keys to meet the driver at midnight... ridiculous! I asked when my car would be delivered, and I have still not received a date/time. I continued to call and leave messages, but they refuse to call me back and communicate when I will get my car. I was originally supposed to have my car on Monday the 22nd, but I am sure that is impossible now, so I am extremely inconvenienced. It might have been okay if someone/anyone would have taken the time to communicate with me, but that is not the case. I feel like if they don't call me with some information I should call the police. They can't just take my car and not give me any information. I should get some money back too. I just started a new job and don't have transportation because they did not complete the job I paid them for in the time frame that was originally given. Don't use this company!!!
