We contracted with Montaway Transport back in October to move a car from West Palm Beach, FL to Madison, NJ. They in brokered the transport to Diesel Auto Express. While it was not a big issue that they were 4 days late in picking up , the vehicle was delivered with some damage on both the drivers and passenger doors. Appears damage occurred while loading/offloading during transport. They acknowledged the damage during transport and had us file a claim along with providing additional pictures and three quotes. Since then (now over 3 months), we have received the run around and no resolution to the issue. I strongly suggest you NOT contract with this carrier or Montaway (who has also gone silent) if you want your car delivered without damage and receive acceptable customer service to resolve transport issues. read more

DIESEL AUTO EXPRESS - beware of this shipping company! I contacted Montway LLC for transport of my SUV from one state to another and they are a broker, they chose Diesel Auto Express to transport my SUV from one state to another. It arrived with damages to paint, and two estimates were $6,600 and $11,500 to have the scratches and dent taken care of. Diesel Auto Express said the damages were there before the Porsche was picked up, but I have many pictures and video and even a picture of the car loaded up on the transport without any damage. Diesel Auto Express denies the claim, so I have now started a claim through their insurance company. My first claim ever, in 55 years of driving and having four cars shipped across states without any problems! I would NEVER trust Diesel Auto Express to drive a car/SUV anywhere for me! The driver lied to me saying that the damages were there before it was shipped despite proof of pics. There was no layout/document with the description of the car BEFORE the transport, so if you ever ship a car, ALWAYS insist on this so you know when you sign off on the car that there were no additional damage after it was loaded up. Got my car picked up on 2/28 and was expecting it to go from Oregon to Texas within 4-7 days like they said. Instead my car sat in their yard for over a week and a half and did not move. I had to call them multiple times a day to get updates and they would always say it was going to leave. Once it left, the truck then "broke" down. What should have been a 5 day process turned into a two week process. Would be smart to find a different company. read more

I was very pleased with Diesel Auto. My car was shipped from Port Chester NY to Bellingham WA in 5 business days. The delivery time was very important to me foe insurance reasons. I would have rated them a 5 but the initial 4 hr window they indicated for car to be dropped off turned into 12 hrs.. but part of it beyond their control. The driver Jose was wonderful, very professional & tried his best! Their dispatch communicated with me very well. I highly recommend Diesel. Sherpa was the carrier broker. Excellent door to door service! I needed to move a car from California to North Carolina. After considerable research and evaluation, I decided to go with Diesel Dispatch. Their employee was extremely helpful, polite and as I hoped for, truthful. No last moment or hidden fees. The transport was done by Shipping Express. Right on time their driver called ahead of time and the car was picked up within the agreed window. The driver, Federico, was extremely helpful and patient with my daughter. Something that we appreciated a lot since moving is such a stressful situation, particularly from coast to coast. The car arrived in perfect conditions on 07/02/25. I confirmed that Federico is an asset to their company, extremely polite and as we saw, dependable even working under really heavy rain. Overall, an extremely satisfying experience. Very very disappointed with Diesel Auto Express!! I did a LOT of research when looking for a transport company and I had a couple of recommendations for "car people" on a Facebook group that highly recommended Diesel Auto Express, but I did look at all recommendations and decided on Diesel Auto Express because of the recommendations, their reviews and that they were a local company, not a broker. Come to find out later one of the recommendations was actually a driver for Diesel Auto Express & there is now one in the "office" that is local. My car that I just imported was picked up in Houston and we were given our truck drivers name and number, and our estimated delivery date was 2/5 (Monday). We had a message from the customs broker in Houston that they had to roll our car onto the hauler because the battery was dead and wouldn't hold a charge. We messaged the driver that we had a battery for the car and could put it in when he arrived. No reply back from the driver. This was on Monday, January 29th. We didn't hear anything from the driver all week, so we texted on Friday to check the status and the driver informed us that the car was being unloaded at the Vancouver terminal. When I questioned the driver about why it was being unloaded in Vancouver and not delivered to us in Beaverton (about 50 mins away). We had a few texts back and forth with the driver and found out that the "office" never relayed to us that our car would be offloaded in Vancouver and put on another truck to bring to us on Monday. On Monday we received an email stating that our car would be delivered on Tuesday between 9am - 1pm and to have payment ready. Contacted the "office" and Amber informed my husband that Monday was just an estimated delivery date and yes when the car arrives on a weekend dispatch doesn't get the information until the next business day and they can't setup a delivery time until then which is the next business day. Fine! 10:30 that night my husband was woken up by his phone ringing and it was a driver in Vancouver trying to load our car asking if there was some trick to starting our car. Umm no the battery is dead, and the other driver knew this, and the car was pushed onto the hauler. Not sure why this driver didn't know this. We didn't hear back from the driver. We waited all day, Tuesday, and by 2:30pm no car, phone call or text!! No, we are mad. So my husband called and got a driver on the phone that said the car would not be delivered until Wednesday now. Not acceptable! I called a couple of numbers and finally got a human on the phone who kept saying the car will be delivered tomorrow. No, we are coming to get our car!! I told the him that we had had enough of the miscommunication, and we were on our way to Vancouver and to have the driver or someone in the "office" there to release our car. I also requested to speak with Amber, but was told she was out, so I asked for a manager to call me. On our way to Vancouver Scott (Manager) called me back and explained that we were very upset with the service that we received, and we would never be using them in the future let alone referring them to anyone we know in the car collector community. He said he was sorry and that the driver would be there after 5pm to release the car to us when he got back from delivering some other cars. We showed up on the lot that these cars are sitting on. Not gate, no security in sight, found our car with keys in the passenger seat and not locked. Yes, we know the battery is dead, but anyone could've hooked up a tow bar like we did and just took the car. The interior was a mess (rear engine) and I can only assume it was because the driver from the night before was looking for the battery!! As we waited for the driver to show up to release the car we hooked our car up to a tow bar and chatted with another driver when he offered to help us. We found out that the "office" people are not even in Vancouver, let alone the country. Which now makes more sense! Especially when we said we were on our way and asked if anyone was in the office. He also told us that the driver from Houston could've offered to deliver our car to us closer to our home (it's up to the driver) and this saves the long-haul driver money because then the long-haul driver doesn't have to pay for that car to be delivered by a local driver. He said its about $250 per car.....Interesting!! We picked up our own car, so we should get a refund since the local driver did not deliver. The local driver did show up after 5 and was not the driver from last night that called us. This driver was a young guy who apologized for not being able to come today and felt bad that he couldn't get our car to us until the next day. We said it was not his fault and thank you for meeting us. A week later and not a peep from anyone in the office regarding our service which surprises me! Not doing business with again!! read more

Our truck was transported from California to Washington. In the process they lost the fiberglass truck lid that was locked in place. It has now been 8 weeks and I have called and emailed countless times, even sent a certified letter. They never respond except to say my claim is denied. They never explain what they are responsible for in transporting any car. Terrible customer service, rude agent, and owners that hide behind their employees. I would do whatever you can to avoid using this company to transport any vehicle. I would leave NO STARS if I could. read more

They picked my car up on time. The driver took all the pictures for pre existing damages and recorded them on his phone. They took the car from Tacoma, Washington to Vancouver, Washington. Put it on a bigger car carrier and proceded towards Tucson, AZ. They ran into a cyclone bomb in the Siskyous Mts range in Southern Oregon /Northern California and were delayed by a snow storm. Which is undestandable. Continued on to Las Angelos, CA, where thr truck brokedown for several days. I had a hard time getting any in formation on the status of the whereabouts of the truck. How long will it take to repair. No one knew but would call me when they did. However they never did. I did have the drivers name and phone number which I called periodically and he told me he was in Phoenix and would be in Tucson the next day which was day 10! While unloading the vehicle some minor damage occured on the right front wheel well trim tab. The driver, Russel, took all the pictures and compared them to the original ones and proved there was no damages to that part of the vehicle when they picked it up! He sent the information to his superiors and admitted he must have caused the damage. He said they would call me the next day. That was November the 24th 2024. I Have not heard from them to this day, December 23, 2024. I have called their dispatcher several times, left messages about the damages. No reply. Even replied to there request for a review of there service. Have not heard back. The estimate from the dealer's body shop is $97.24!! So! DO NOT USE this unrelaieble, irresponsible and fraudulant company! I went ahead and paid to have the car fixed. If the damages were more significant I would have hired an attourny to settled this claim. I hired them in Good Faith and paid $200 up front and another $700 when the car was deilvered or they woudn't give me the keys! I'm not complaining about the price which I thought was more than fair! But that isn't the way to do business! I will never use them again and will tell everyone I know and don't know, not to use them! In fact, I think I will picket them at there plaxec of business!
