But through a series of referrals, I finally got to Black Diamond Auto Wrecking, who were recommended by a local Portland wrecking yard. Black Diamond had the window for my particular car, and the price, including $60 to ship it, was around $136. I ordered it in the late afternoon on a Monday and I had it by Wednesday evening. I believe I spoke with Mike and he was polite and efficient. The service was generally excellent and I greatly appreciate their help. The only drawback was reaching them. Sometimes I had to call them several times to get to a live person. There were times that no one answered the phone. There were other times when the phone went to a message machine that could, at times, get you into an endless loop. At other times, the message machine would put you on hold briefly until someone answered. It was kind of inconsistent and something I'd suggest the company improve. Otherwise, they were great and the window they sold me, now installed, is working perfectly.

Once I found this place I vowed I would never go anywhere other than Sorensen Marine. Tim is easy to talk to and will take the time to walk you through possible scenarios to whatever may be wrong with you boat. Depending on your ability to fix things yourself you can choose to have him make the repairs or he can give you enough detail to fix the problem yourself and sell you every part you need. I spent 2 hours at his shop and left with not only a fully operational boat but a brain full of tips and know how for other future projects (winterizing, tilt installation, installing a bank battery). He works hard to keep people's boats running efficiently and running for as long as possible. While I don't want to go back to fix any new issues on my boat soon, I look forward to the next time I can talk engines with Tim. He is reliable and dependable and worth every penny. Big Waste of Time. They said they did. I show up, talked to the front desk and waited to talk to a rep. The old man I talked to had leather wrinkled skin with not one bit of enthusiasm or empathy for me explaining it was my first time. I saw him being short to the customer in front of me. Someone needs to get this grumpy guy out from behind the desk. Anyways, he tells me they don't have my Lexus Rx but apparently the part I needed was compatible on a Highlander. So he points me in the direction at the end of the lot to find the vehicle by myself. I knew better than to try my luck asking for someone to walk me out. I go, I look, I can't find the white Toyota he showed me a picture proving they had. I find another Highlander but it's not the same year, neither has the same part on it. I call the front desk to get a better understanding instead of walking back with all my tools to do so... they answer and put me on a 12 minute hold before I hung up the phone. I stand puzzled and soon find a lot forklift driver to help me out. Surprisingly he was very patient and helpful with my questions. That was a relief. He tells me the car I'm looking for isn't in the lot because it's new and needed to be staged. He tells me ten minutes but i waited in the location with the other highlanders thinking he would bring the new one to me in ten minutes. Well it took me 25 minutes to find him bring it in to the front of the lot. Again the caliper on the Toyota did not match the one on my Lexus and I wasn't going to risk paying for a part that is said to be compatible. What should have been a successful 1.5 hr trip turning into 3.5 hour let down. I don't like leaving reviews but because I've already wasted so much time what more is a deserving review of this place. Fix your front office! I will say this review probably won't matter because they do well from an operation standpoint by having a large lot and wide selection however I'm still going to be bitter, leave this review and try my luck with other places.

I was going to this yard with my father since I was a kid even before they got bought out, now this…read moreplace is awful, staff is very unfriendly and they absolutely need to know what car/part your after before even stepping into the yard, they have a whole other section of cars that you can get stuff from but you MUST tell them what part you need from what car before even knowing the car is in there (there's no list anywhere, and there's a giant fence blocking your view). about a month ago I was trying to get a spoiler off a z32 and I was told if I want the wing now I have to get the whole trunk (their reason being "if I only take the wing rain will get in and it will ruin the interior making it hard for other people to get stuff")...umm yeah if I take the whole trunk then water will definitely get in bud...the staff almost hates you for just even being there. iv been told by someone in the yard that they literally slide the old dude with white hair some money to let him know when good stuff gets there so he can resell...cmon bro im just trying to put together my car. they charge up the wazoo now to say the least, almost not worth in some case's. I was buying a throttle Body cover (thing of plastic) and mirror Controls...it took this lady 10 minutes of clicking before giving me a price on it when it used to just be "yeah I'll take 20 bucks for everything" unfortunately it's one of the last remaining do it yourself car scrap yards so I have to begrudgingly shop their sometimes but I'd rather not give them the business.

After having had a less than stellar experience with another Lucid authorized dealer, I was very happy to have such great service.
