I was going to just leave it as a bad experience. But a couple weeks after picking up my truck from having the motor replaced, I called the shop to see if he could just ask the mechanic a simple question, only to be hung up on by the service advisor. Can't remember his name, but not Taylor. I've been having some weird symptoms with my transmission since I picked it up, so I figured I would call and get some information before traveling an hour to drop it off again. Last time they had my truck for over a month. And the length of service was due to circumstances mostly outside of control. The communication the entire time was trash. I was actually told seven separate times that I would be called back and never was. They're responsive by email but that's about all. So when they say things like, we will call you when it's ready this evening and tell you where we're gonna leave the keys, that's a pretty important phone call to be expected. Anyways, I called to ask a question today spoke on the phone with the service advisor Who refused to bother the mechanic with a question. That's fine, I understand he's working. But there's no need to hang up on me. That's childish and that's terrible customer service, especially after spending over $12,000 in your shop. You can keep your warranty, it's worth it to me to never deal with y'all again. This place is HORRIBLE!!! There was a simple issue with our truck and we took it to Diesel Pros as a referral. They told us a couple days to fix and $2270. Ok. No contact no call. We had to call them to get updates because they kept telling us we will have our truck back by end of the day. Well, 3 weeks later and $9000, they ruined our truck. We left there with more issues then we came with and they never fixed the ORIGINAL issue we came there for. So now we have issues with the truck that were never there before - the exhaust is blowing in the truck cabin area during regen and the headlights are filling with water when it rains and the battery keeps dying and had to replace 2 batts and the list goes on. This place sucks!!!!! They need to be shut down. They don't know what they are doing. One of their employees tried to warn us when we dropped the truck off but $800 to have it towed there and then trying to tow elsewhere would have been a headache. But we should have just towed it to Another shop since we had to wait 3 1/2 weeks anyway. And when they gave us our truck (semi) back they used all the fuel in it and had dirt and gravel all throughout the inside of our truck. So unprofessional!!!!! DO NOT go here. Beware!!!! Ok, before I get started, let me say that I REALLY wanted to like this place and I apologize for the long review but I think you'll find it helpful. I just ask that you draw your own conclusions as this is simply my take on the experience I had at Diesel Pros. I took my 2000 F250 7.3L in for an oil change and serpentine belt change last June and had a positive experience with Matt as the service writer. I was new to the Diesel world and didn't know much about the maintenance intervals, particulars of service, etc. Matt did a great job of explaining some things as I waited for the service to be completed. Left the service center that day feeling pretty good about the service I was provided and the price I paid. Fast forward to September of last year (2018) when I dropped off the same truck to have a sway bar and front pinion seals replaced. I dropped off truck and told service writer (Mike?) via phone to have his mechanic do a thorough bumper to bumper check of my truck while the truck was up on the rack (of note, Matt was out of office for upcoming Labor Day weekend). While I was out of town on a business trip, I was called with an estimate for the sway bar and pinion seals and was also informed about a list of other "highly recommended" repairs that should be completed during the service visit. This included a passenger side fuel line, injector O-Rings and turbo pedestal rebuild. Now that I've had the truck almost a year and am 100x smarter about diesel truck ownership due to joining numerous online forums, a local diesel truck club and having some routine service done at two other local Diesel centers, I realize that some of the high-cost service performed last fall at Diesel Pros was probably not necessary (turbo tower rebuild due to leak and injector o-rings). My truck only had a little over 55,000 miles at the time of service for the sway bar visit and if anyone knows anything about the 7.3L PowerStroke engine, 55,000 miles is not even started to be broken-in yet as these engines routinely last over 500,000 miles if properly serviced. I was informed by Diesel Pros via phone call that these repairs were "highly recommended" as the O-Rings were recommended by Ford at 50,000miles and if the turbo pedestal wasn't repaired, my turbo could be damaged. No pictures were provided of the turbo pedestal leak and after getting back home and checking my owners manual, no where does it state under the 50,000 mile service interval that injector o-rings are a recommended service item. Well, after I inquired with other diesel mechanics, I've learned that these two repairs for a truck with such low miles was likely NOT necessary and that the two costly repairs performed were fairly simple repairs that are easy to complete but are also easy to charge for high labor costs (which was what I paid). Interestingly enough, both of the two other service centers asked if I was provided pictures of the turbo pedestal leak. Ummm...NO! Hmm...OK! Was also asked if I was provided pictures of the old injector O-rings that were pulled from the injectors. Ummmm....NO! Hmmm...OK! You see where I'm going with this line of questioning? So, after verbally authorizing these repairs (turbo pedestal rebuild and injector o-rings), I did some quick online research and started to second guess my decision to have the services completed. I tried several times to contact my service writer via phone to get a further explanation as to how and why these repairs were needed on a truck with only 55,000 miles. As you can imagine, after several attempts, no-one was ever available via phone down in the service center. The receptionist (Ashley?) apologized profusely for no one being available to take any of my calls over a 2 day period as calls just kept going to VM when she would transfer me to service. After a couple of days, I was called by Ashley and informed that repairs were complete and truck was ready to be picked-up. I couldn't make it back to get truck before close of business on Friday of Labor Day weekend so I was told I'd have to wait until Tuesday. Ok, fair enough so I requested that my Club Steering Wheel locking device be placed on my truck as it was going to be setting outside over the weekend. When I got there Tuesday to get truck, I found not only that my steering wheel locking device was NOT placed on my truck (although it was laying in the passenger side floor-board in plain view but my steering wheel itself was covered in greasy hand prints and had not been cleaned after service and before being returned to me. Come on, guys...really? If you couldn't get those two simple requests done for such a high-dollar repair visit, what else wasn't done properly (or even done at all)? Oh, and my military discount was only $5 on a $3,500 repair bill. Seriously...$5? Emailed owner with frustrations but I was never contacted to discus. read more

Everyone was pretty cool especially the tech who kept us updated on what was going on and almost finished the job in the specified time frame. I have a 2012 F250 that I use everyday for my business. Well, last week my fuel system went to hell so of course I brought it to Mike, Matt and the guys. They dropped my shitty system and put in a new one so fast, it made fast places look not fast! But them pros there spotted a YUGE problem with my transmission which, apon furthur inspection, needed replaced. Well like the sun rises every morning, these guys got the job knocked out in one day!! BEWARE!!! My husband took his 2017 Ford to Diesel Pros a few months ago for a repair. Fast forward to yesterday when my husband's truck would not start. Come to find out the two truck batteries that came with his new truck were swapped out with some old ~2010 Dodge batteries. We have not had any other work done on the truck since it was at Diesel Pros and are certain the new batteries that came with the truck were installed prior to taking to Diesel Pros. The folks at Diesel Pros really helped me out after my DPF was stolen on my Ram 3500. They did a full delete, tune, and cold air intake in no time, as well as the 50k service. Firstly, this company insisted upon being paid in cash and cash only. This is the first red flag. I took my Ford F-250 to Diesel Pros after seeing some good reviews. I thought it needed a new high pressure oil pump, and perhaps some other work. They took three weeks to complete the job, and when I got the truck back it died while I was on the freeway. I had to tow the truck to their shop out of my own pocket. It took another week to fix the high pressure oil pump, which they said had failed. They claimed they replaced. I  got the truck back, and I made it less than a mile down the road, and the truck died again. It would not start back up. They then towed the truck to their shop (not out of my own pocket). They said the IPR valve had failed, so they replaced that, and the high pressure oil pump (again, supposedly). This took another week. They then called me again and told me a lifter had failed, and that is why they can't keep it running. So I agreed to the repairs to replace the lifter, but I wanted to be present when the engine was opened up. When they opened the engine this time, they found out that the entire engine needed to be rebuilt because of the failed lifters. I agreed to have Diesel Pros to replace the entire engine (a new engine). This took three more week to complete. I finally got my truck back, and less than a week later, the truck started leaking oil, sputtering, and stalling. It felt like the high pressure oil pump was going out again. They told me to bring my truck back in, and they said they'd have the truck done by Friday. When Friday came around, I had to call them, and they told me the hadn't even started on it, and couldn't start on it for a week. I picked my truck up, which at this point had not been fixed, or even started on, and when I got in my truck, I noticed some valuable property had been stolen. I confronted them about it, and the shop manager told me there is no way I could prove the property was stolen. I called the police, and after I told him my story, the police officer said that he comes out here about once a leak for problems just like this, or worse. I demanded my money back from Diesel Pros. and they refused. I told them I would sue them, and they basically laughed in my face and said good luck. After consulting with my Lawyer, he advised me of the judgments Diesel Pros, LLC and Michael Kelley (the owner) have had against them. My lawyer basically advised that I would not have any luck getting money from these con artists, because they have not paid ANY of their past judgments, one of which was $250,000, for violation of labor laws. Below I will detail some of the judgments against them. What a refreshing experience. They knew exactly what I needed to fix the issue I was having with my truck. They told me it "would" take 4-5 business days for my parts to come in. They arrived in 3 days. When they called to tell me they were in, I said I can bring it in tonight if you want to work on it tomorrow. They said that would be perfect. When I read all the good reviews I thought no problem with taking my truck there to get fixed but let me tell you this the one star reviews didn't lie, I was told it would take 5-6 days to have my transmission rebuilt(08/27/2021). I had no issue with paying almost 4.5k for it. A week goes by and I get a call hoping its them to tell me my truck is done, nope waiting on parts(09/2/2021). Oaky I get it sometimes it takes a little while to get stuff but no heads up? Next week comes same hopes as last time nope there transmission guy is out and they don't have anyone else that can do it. Also he took my trans home to work on it so he will have to drop it off someday that week (09/09/2021). The following week comes and they ordered the wrong parts and have to wait on the new ones to come(09/15/2021). Monday(09/20/2021) get a call saying truck should be done today guy is supposed to drop trans off and they will be putting it in. Just to find out it wasn't true. Today (09/22/2021) get a call truck is ready to go test drive was good and all you need to do is come get it. Oaky cool get up there after work and ask if I could have any sort of discount as it took 3 weeks longer then what I was quoted. The lady in the shop office told me she had no control on that. I asked who did and who I needed to talk to she called the owner Mike and I asked him if I could get any type of discount and he said " I really hope you're f#c% with me." what a way to talk to your customers. He explain in a very rude and defensive tone that sorry COVID made everything take so long and that his trans guy had 102 fever when he brought the trans from his house to their shop and that they ordered the wrong parts. Nothing but excuses and that was it. So in all I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and the bad reviews from years ago are still true. Also Mike if you see this stop making excuses and start trying to run a better shop maybe learn that if you treat customers right they will come back. read more

DEEPLY UNSATISFIED!!! At one point we wrote a 5 star review because we trusted that they would do the work they SAID they would to fix an oil leak. Sadly that wasn't the case. We had to take our truck back 4 times for them to fix an oil leak that wasn't there until Diesel Pros "Bullet Proofed" my truck, resulting in a rocker box gasket leak which they NEVER discovered. We found out about the problem that THEY should have found when we took it to a shop in the area we moved to -- because it wouldn't stop leaking. And then, on top of that, when we called to talk to the owner to set up an appointment to get it fixed for good, they seem to be focused on when their warranty will expire, instead of trying to help me. I gave them no such problems paying my near $8,000 bill. Maybe if they had done the work right the first time, we wouldn't have this problem. Or, better yet, take responsibility for your mistakes. Needless to say, we don't trust them to touch our truck ever again. PLEASE GO TO ANOTHER SHOP!! DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP. read more

I have a ten year old F-250 so it's just a matter of time for the little things to start to wear out. I've always been happy with my service, staff and owner. We did a job for Diesel Pros and they refuse to pay us for our services. They were paid by the insurance company for our services and will not forward the money to us. They are profiting from an insurance claim and our next step is turning them over to our attorney to file for a lien on their property, file an investigation with the Texas Department of Insurance for possible Insurance Fraud for non-payment to a vendor and having our invoice dollar amount put on the owners credit report. These people are dishonest and I would NOT go there for any services and I would not do any work for them, you wont get paid. We have also had them do work for us and the work was sub par. BE CAREFUL with this establishment! read more

After recently moving from Atlanta, I was looking for a good place to have my 2007 6.0 taken care of. With 333,000 miles, the truck is my baby and I want to be sure it keeps rolling. The engine, believe it or not, was mostly stock and had gone without serious problems for years. However, it was starting to leak a lot and it had also begun to puke coolant as well. One afternoon, my starter cracked off the block so I had the truck towed to Diesel Pros. After speaking with Mike on the phone, I was convinced that these guys knew the 6.0's inside and out. I gave them the ok to pull the engine, replace all the gaskets, machine it, and put in new bearings and rings in addition to new studs, oil cooler, coolant, etc. Mike, Matt, and Jeremy were incredibly helpful, honest, and professional with their work. each phone call always ended with an invitation to come to the shop to see the motor work being done - twice I showed up at the shop and they walked me into the back and let me talk to the tech working on my motor! It's rare that a shop will do that these days. My truck had some aftermarket equipment installed that had to be removed to get the engine out. The guys, to my surprise, got everything all hooked back up. They even used quick connectors so that if the parts have to come apart in the future, they wont have to cut anything. Unfortunately, someone somehow broke my SCT EGT probe during the rebuild (even though they didn't remove it, maybe it was bumped or something). I spoke to Mike on the phone and basically told him not to worry about it, I'd just source the part and install it. To my pleasant surprise, I got a call from Jeremy the next week that my egt kit had come in and to come pick it up. They had taken the initiative to order this part for me for no charge just to make sure I was 100% satisfied. The level of professionalism at this shop is overwhelming, and I certainly recommend anyone who, like me, is a stickler about their truck, to give them a call! read more

I wouldnt let these guys work on my skateboard ! They charged me big money for a EGR delete, programmer, 4" turbo back exhaust and a K & N intake. I had to have the exhaust tightened within 250 miles and figured bad luck but when a reputable shop told me my EGR was still in the truck and had I taken it to Diesel "Pros" ?? They showed me the homemade tin can block off plate and freeze plugs these idiots used to " delete" my EGR !I was pissed but apparently its called the "MIKE" special- they removed the EGR and put in the correct part !! Dont trust these clowns they are rip off artists!! read more

Had a motor completely rebuild with a full year warranty, by Diesel Pros. After about 6 months, the transmission came apart convertor totally destroyed! Took it back, had Diesel Pros rebuild the transmission. While they were installing Transmission, they notice that the crank was broke. Makes me think the convertor went out due to the broken crank. "Was the Transmission even BaD?" No warranty on Motor and stuck paying another $4k on transmission and convertor. At times can you really trust a mechanic shop or not??? Over $15k in a motor and transmission and now I need another motor! read more

Was recommended to take my truck to get diagnosed by freedom diesel. We're friendly at first, before the diagnostic. They were supposed to diagnose the engine and diagnose my transmission. Came the next day to get my truck after I was told it would be $6000 to rebuild which I don't have. They were very short and not personable when they realized I would not use them. I left there with no report of my diagnostic , which if they are going to charge $115 for they should produce. Any place I've ever had a vehicle diagnosed I get a report printed out. Also they never mentioned my transmission so I called back up there this morning and they said that "the mechanic really didn't look at it because the engine was the task at hand." So my transmission didn't get looked at like I was told it would. They sent an invoice via email stating that I had cylinder six failure. I do not recommend taking your truck to this place. Dealt with the owner and the manager the day I picked up my truck and neither was friendly! This is an honest unbiased review. read more

I would never in a million years recommend Mike Kelley of Diesel pros llc. This is my true story. May 2012 I took my new 2012F350. Mike the owner, sold me a used 6" lift, and told me what a great deal I was getting etc. and that it comes with a front end alignment. When I picked up my truck, Mike the owner said that he gave me such a good deal that I had to go and get my own front end alignment, so I went to four wheel parts. Then, a week later their is a knocking noise at the back axle. I crawl under my truck and realize the the rubber bushing on both back shocks was missing, so we have a metal bolt stock through my shock, and missing the rubber bushing. I went to four wheel parts and they gave me the bushing for free. Today Jan 21,2013 - My steer wheel was really lose, i could turn a half turn before my tires start turning. I took my truck to Prestige ford in Dallas, and they said that the Pitman Arm Nut which was part of the Lift kit, was so loose that they removed it by hand. They said that if the nut would have fallen all the way off, I would have lost steering and wrecked my truck. They said that this nut was suppose to have 325 LB of Torque, in which if property installed the nut would not have come loose. I paid FORD 542.00 to fix my truck. I called mike the owner of Diesel Pros LLC and asked him to reimburse me because they did not install the lift correctly. What follows is his email response, too bad, too sad is basically what he says. This company and Mike the owner have the absolute worst customer services of any company that I have ever dealt with. Also note the mis spelled words of Mike the owner. ======= Lol! Its been 7 months and 15000 miles and a nut on a after market pitman arm that was used backed off and I'm responsible for it? We have a 12 month 12k warrinty that u were made aware of but on a used suspention lift we cover no warrinty. So with that being said u would of been out by mileage any way do that your truck came in to our shop with 1800 miles and that's if it was under warrinty to start with whitch it was not. And the ford house charged u 500 bucks to fix a loose nut?? Boy u got screwed so with that being said have a nice day and watch calling and treating people on the phone when clearly u are in the wrong and know u bought used parts to start with!
