Visited DIG in Williamsburg, just off Bedford and not far from the L, after a workout class and before an event for a quick, healthy, light dinner. Around 6:30 p.m. there was no line, I was served right away, and the staff was kind and helpful. The place wasn't very busy at that hour, so I grabbed a table to myself in the corner. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, but since they didn't have a gluten-free bun, I had it on a bed of lettuce with the sauce on the side. The chicken was good and flavorful, though not as crispy as I would have liked but still enjoyable. I also got the spicy sauce on the side, which was great for dipping and paired really well with the pickles. It was an enjoyable light, quick dinner. read more

I've been dying to try the new Sweet Chili Salmon, and i had some time to kill, so I popped in DIG. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Taj. I told her I had rewards to redeem, but I was having issues with the app. She was super sweet! Taj told me to let her know when if I had any questions or anything. I ended up ordering a few sides in-store as well. I opted for a the Ginger Mint Lemonade, Chili Lime Brussels and the Brioche Cheddar Pullapart (in addition to the salmon). DigInn is an NYC staple, it's one of the only quick spots you can still get a healthy, well rounded meal for under $15 out the door. I would not have survived my first year in the city 10 years ago without them, so they'll always have a special place in my heart. Every fall/winter they have brussel sprouts with a new flavor profile that are always a highlight, and the year round veggie sides are reliably well roasted and tasty (shoutout to the sweet potatoes and the lemon broccoli ). The tofu went downhill for the last few years, but hopefully they switch up the seasoning soon. read more

To whom this may concern: Do not waste your money or time!!! The Hispanic manager at this location is extremely rude and unprofessional and needs to be educated in hospitality. Honestly, I felt like I was dealing with a disgruntled fast food employee. He is tarnishing the Dig Inn brand. I went to him stating that the sheet carrots tasted soapy. Instead of simply asking me to pick another side, he began talking down to me and saying that everyone said they taste fine. Not to mention that he dug his bare finger, no gloves into the tray to try one. I've been to that location on a couple of occasions, and prior to becoming a manager, this person has always been extremely unpleasant. He doesn't greet customers and is very rude. Looks like he's there just to collect a paycheck and not be of service to customers. I also noticed that he was having a 30-minute conversation with a friend and also gave a fellow Hispanic guy a free piece of fish and filled his bowl to the point where it was overflowing. The cashier and server looked to be a model. i had my bowl with a faro base along with the chicken thighs potato salad , some other items etc. but i was really curious about the mac and cheese so i paid for that as an additional side i zero complaints the food was fresh and satisfying. i am not sure when i will be back to this location. a meal will cost up to about $15 dollars so it can get pricey. it is nice as a treat when one deserves a healthy satisfying meal that seems similar to a home cooked meal. read more

That's not really a big deal but the food they did have was WAYYYY too salty. like, it was barely edible. We got two bowls to take home; one had cauliflower that was heavily salted and one had salmon that I couldn't even finish. I know fish tends to be salty but this was overboard. I had to toss half of it and just eat a bowl of cereal for dinner instead to wash the saltiness out of my mouth. The kale and meatballs were good enough. I usually avoid posting negative reviews for a single incident but for sake of the public this review describes not one but several recent experiences with this location: understaffed, overworked and often very late. The Williamsburg location often has staff shortages. They appear to be unpredictable, I often get my order on time and often quite late. There has been several times in the last couple of months when my order was 10-15 min late. On my last trip it on May 17 it was 30 MINUTES late - this was indeed my LAST trip here, I doubt I will come back. For the half hour I was waiting for the order, which I placed online 2 hours ahead, I watched several employees with their heads down (work, work, work!) and a manager running around and absolutely loosing her mind, overwhelmed with the number of orders she was dealing with and a small crowd of drivers and customers demanding their food. When I finally got my order I noted to the employee that it was half hour late and he rudely responded: "We are busy, right?!" Seeing the chaos in the kitchen I frankly do not blame him for rudeness - these are not happy people making your food. This is a recurring issue at this location and Digg Inn does not seem to care about it. The company overwhelms the kitchen with orders, working their employees to death and aggravating customers with lateness. I see a new manager here almost every week - it seems nobody lasts. Have mercy on these folks and avoid the waits, get your food elsewhere. read more

Just off of the bustling Bedford Ave, right next to Levain Bakery and Sweetgreen, Dig is serving up farm-fresh ingredients at convenience. I've been to multiple locations in Manhattan, and the quality has remained consistent. While service is already pretty efficient, ordering online or through the app cuts out additional precious minutes, and point accumulation through the rewards program is fairly quick. Marketbowls consist of a base, a protein, and two side dishes, although three sides as a substitute for the protein is also an option. While some may consider portion sizes to be on the smaller side, I'm generally satisfied by the time I've finished my meal. During my most recent visit to the Williamsburg location, I went with the grilled tofu, farm greens with mint (as a base), roasted sweet potatoes, and charred broccoli with lemon. The grilled tofu comes with roasted onion and pickled pepper relish, both of which ensure that the protein isn't dry and rubbery. The sweet potatoes are a must for me whenever I go to Dig. Their preparation is extremely simple, with just extra virgin olive oil, smoked paprika, and rosemary, but they're still delicious. Similarly, the char on the broccoli is ideal, and the garlic and lemon make the vegetable more flavorful. Certain sides rotate with the seasons - some are a hit, others are a serious miss. However, you really can't go wrong with any of their permanent side dishes, like the aforementioned roasted sweet potatoes. Whenever I'm in search of a home-cooked meal and I don't feel like cooking, Dig is usually one of the first places on my mind. read more

I had an issue with the app and promo code placement but that was on me; I think I moved through the process too quickly to enter it but it would be nice if that selection were more prominent/apparent.
