The food was very fresh and well prepared. You can tell that they put a lot of effort into serving good, quality meals. The signage in front is a little bland, making this place a little difficult to stumble upon...you pretty much need to seek it out. But, it is well worth the effort. My only "complaint" (definitely too strong of a word) is that it seemed a bit chaotic due to the large number of takeout orders they were preparing. I would suggest that restaurants like this more clearly delineate staff and operations to more effectively handle both diners and takeout customers. read more

When I lived in Manhattan I often dined at dig inn apparently the name has changed to dig and I've eaten at the Rye location before this experience was completely different I used door dash I a choose your protein bowl the chicken was barely cooked and had a slimy feel to it I also had The kale Caesar salad which I've had tons of times in this experience it was overdressed which overpowered the rest of the bowl. I now live in the area and was excited to be so close unfortunately there are other quick and healthy options that I can choose from. My husband and I went to eat here by chance bc we saw a Starbucks in the same shopping center. The smell coming from this establishment intrigued us. The server (Freddy or Frank forgot his name oops sorry) gave exceptional service!!! We told him it was our first time; he informed us pleasantly and was so welcoming! Sucks that we could not tip him! My family and I stopped by Dig Inn for a quick meal while driving from Boston to DC. We'd never heard of Dig Inn before. I'm so glad we came here because the food, decor, and employees all deserve 5 stars! I got a salad bowl with sweet potatoes, cucumbers, and tofu. Elizabeth helped make our bowls and she provided wonderful service - she was friendly and answered our questions about the menu and item options. One thing is that I wish this place had recycling. For an establishment that seems environmentally friendly (no paper towels in restrooms, metal utensils, etc.), I would hope to be able to recycle the small plastic containers that held their homemade sriracha sauce. Nevertheless, finally, a unique place with cooked vegetables instead of the regular salad. I am waiting for the day Dig Inn comes to the DC area! read more

The presentation of food was amazing, and they gave me a free spindrift drink for checking in on Yelp. This is a welcomed addition to the area. I love Dig Inn in the City but I work in Harrison and lunch options are more limited here. Dig Inn feels like a "farm-to-table" Chipotle with lots of variety and options. This location has a great sunlit eating area in the back. Parking can be a mess here but it's worth it. Shout out to Katy, the most helpful and nicest employee ever! The manager (I assume) seems very eager to make sure things run smoothly and everyone stays happy. You choose a base grain (e.g. quinoa or brown rice), some veggie sides (I had a broccoli mixture, pesto squash, and multicolored carrots), and then top with protein (mine was salmon). If you want to, you can add fresh-made dressing and/or avocado. The ambiance was fresh, bright, and modern - just my style. There were a good amount of people in the restaurant but I could still hear my friend and conduct a conversation. I've been here twice and I have to say I wasn't blown away either time. First visit I had a market Bowl, there was a line of about 15 people and it took forever to be served. It was a little confusing to order but what didn't help is that 3 different people helped me, the first person started it and walked away leaving my unfinished bowl on the counter for a minute or two before someone else asked if I needed help. They ran out of broth and we're not making more even though it was three hours before closing time. They didn't actually tell me they ran out until I asked why my bill went down a few dollars from the original amount. The second visit I had a egg sandwich, I was the only customer on line and it took almost 10 minutes. The sandwich was 1 egg, sausage patty, ricotta on a roll. It was the smallest and most expensive egg sandwich of my life. $8.50 I could have bought a dozen rolls and a dozen eggs for the same price. I appreciate the farm to table idea but this is a little over the top for what you get. The food it pretty tasty and of good quality but the service was terrible. Not to mention the staff was handling money with gloves on and was eating behind the counter. I work in the food industry and these are big no no's. I also question the food being at a food safe temperature as it sits on the counter. I can't say I'll be back. read more

After about 15 minutes, a worker finally approached me and asked what I would like. This place has what they call "market bowls" - you make your own bowl from a base, two sides, and a meat/protein. I got steak, cauliflower, beets, and a brown rice base. It was really good...steak was tender enough, cauliflower was chilled but good, and the rice was seasoned a little bit. The pickled beets were awesome, though; I've got to figure out a way to make them myself. The bowl I made was almost $13. Maybe it's just me, but that's a little pricey. I wouldn't spend more than $10. Good place, but overpriced. Probably wouldn't go back. read more

I've been waiting to try this place since they've opened but wasn't sure I would really like it. I'm so glad I finally gave this place a try. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the market bowl with brown rice, chicken, sautéed kale and Mac n cheese. My first impression was the portion was too small but they really do pack the food in and it was a perfect amount of food for lunch.
