Food was good, service was on point by Chrystel, very pretty inside. Great company, good food... Hard to go wrong! The ambience was definitely very chill.

Not my first time here and won't be my last. Every restaurant can have an "off day". I think my family walked into one last night. I will work my way backward. The ambiance of Chat is charming, inside and out. We were seated a little earlier than our reservation (7pm). The hostess and I presume manager were all smiles upon arrival and promptly seated us. Our server was also all smiles and attentive. After spending a week in London and getting attention to so many details at the table, I now expect a little more and she delivered. I only wish that she asked about any allergies. Now to the meals: our party of 4 ordered the short ribs, the bacon wrapped meatloaf, the salmon and the BBQ ribs. The presentation on all the dishes were stellar! Now comes the sticky part. The short ribs were a bit dry. Sitting on a nice bed and brussels which were very good, you just want the ribs to melt in your mouth. The salmon was cooked to perfection, but lacked restaurant quality seasoning that will bring you out. The meatloaf and the BBQ ribs were spectacular, though! The sauce on the meatloaf was amazing and the sauce on those "slip off the bone" ribs was tangy sweet! OMG. So all in all, with prices the way they are nowadays, you want the most expensive items (shorties and salmon) to deliver top notch. Unfortunately ours didn't. We will return but I hope the restaurant management will pass this on to the kitchen, so when we return, the "Chat" will be 5 star!

Eating out on the terrace. They accommodate groups quite well. There were a few big groups there that night.

The service is great, caesar salad with salmon great, coffee and dessert, profiteroles yum. But we got a parking ticket. Make sure you do not have too much fun and maybe skip dessert. 2 desserts @ $11 plus tax and tip plus 2 coffees plus $20 ticket. Speak to those guys at the police station maybe? The garage was 1/2 full already. Many gluten-free options.

Not sure why it's called American when it's a French menu but I digress. Stopped in for a quick, nice lunch. Had the mushroom and goat cheese omelet and it was very good. Service was friendly. Prices are slightly on the higher side but the location is excellent.

The food here is really good. I have been coming here for many years. They recently re-did the restaurant after COVID and it is very elegant. The marble bar top and suave music has turned this place into a date spot. The service here is very good. I would highly recommend this spot for a date night.

I was visiting the area with a coworker and we had some time to kill. The restaurant is really cozy (literally) as they have a fireplace in the back which is so nice, but the ambiance is really nice here. We only sat at the bar for drinks. There were plenty of windows around. We tried the "Brazilian Cosmo" and the "Hot To Trot" and then ended with Espresso Martinis. Bartenders were great, constantly checked on us, and they constantly checked on us.

I gave this place a chance one more time and I'm done. The most disappointing experience once again. This time I will not give anymore chances. The place is way too expensive for the most subpar food. The burger which was the only edible thing here previously had absolutely no flavor, they charge you $3 for cheese and give a tiny portion of French fries. For a $23 burger it is absolutely mediocre. Anything else I've had here I would not even feed to my dog. Very disappointed to waste money here again. Also must add. I had to throw out half of my burger since I was harassed by bees and they did not even discount it although I could not eat it. I couldn't even sit in my chair from 3 bees constantly harassing me.

Great for a work lunch! I am a little surprised by the 3-star rating because our group all really enjoyed our meals! Pretty classic menu with a great selection. I got the Chicken Panini which came with grilled chicken and broccoli rabe and it was very good! Hit the spot for lunch. I was in the area for a work event and it's such a cute area. Nice outdoor patio as well and street/garage parking nearby.

Great staff, great food, nice location. We came to this place twice already and we loved it both time. There is lots of parking next to the train station. The restaurant is pretty large. They have a very nice menu with many different selections. Great sea food dishes. Both times we ordered tuna tartare for the appetizer that was really good. I got branzino this time and was very fresh and tasty. My partner got steak which was good as well. Definitely a very nice place with good selection.

Lox and bagels with capers and salad. Delish!

The food selection was impressive, with multiple buffet tables offering a huge variety of breakfast and lunch options. There was a made-to-order omelet station, and at the same station chef was slicing prime rib to order. My favorites were definitely the omelet station, the perfectly cooked prime rib, and the jumbo shrimp cocktail. Bacon, sausage, pancakes, french toast, eggs benedict. There was a hot lunch selections with chicken parm, a beef dish, grilled salmon. A large variety of sweets were also displayed. The pastries were especially impressive. The tiramisu was rich and delicious, and the Napoleon was absolutely outstanding--both are must-tries if you save room for dessert. My friends had clam chowder and calamari. I had a few calamari and was very happy with how fresh and crispy it was. They gave a nice portion on all three. As for my main course I had a a very nice size steak sandwich that were absolutely delicious. It came with hand cut French fries. I couldn't believe how good it was. I'm usually extremely picky and the steak was so tender and it melted it my mouth. The fries were killer good as well. For desert, I had bread pudding and that was wonderful as well. It came in a cream sauce and I was very happy with what I picked. All in all, I loved my meal and the time spent with my friends that I hadn't seen in almost a year. We had laughs and a very nice conversation and they did not rush us at all. I will definitely be back for some amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere to soak it up with.

To start, we shared the crispy brussel sprouts Charleston style. These were delicious with the tangy sauce and large flakes of parmesan cheese. For my main, I had the brunch wrap. It comes with chips, but I swapped for fries for an additional charge. The wrap was a good size; I had half and saved the rest for leftovers. It was tasty, but not a ton of flavor. The tater tots were nice and crispy and I enjoyed the fresh tomatoes and avocado. They gave me a huge portion of crinkle cut fries, which also would've been great with a little more seasoning, but they were good when dipped in mayo. My husband got the shrimp and grits and appreciated the large portion size as well. I had a lemonade to drink. It was refreshing since it wasn't overly sweet. Service was great. Aesthetically, each table feels like a meal at a family dinner table; it's clear that they wanted that vibe to be translated, and it's done quite well. This is also supported by the service being very friendly and helpful in general. To eat, I had the French toast burger with sweet potato fries. Some others with me had various sides like regular fries and tater tots, and the same thing was present on them that tends not to be at most places: they were all perfectly salted/seasoned. It might seem immaterial, but it's a very good signal when something that simple--yet often neglected in favor of just using condiments to mask it--is executed well. If you're a burger place with fries that taste great without the need for a sauce or condiment, you're doing something right. The French toast burger was likewise fantastic, combining sweet and savory in a great way. To drink, we all got a communal pitcher of the only frozie they had available at the time: a kind of jungle juice vodka slushie. It, too, was great--worthy of multiple rounds. All in all, here's a place that I can't wait to give another visit.

On a beautiful afternoon, we decided to grab a table on the patio, and it was the perfect choice. The outdoor seating created a relaxed, inviting atmosphere that made it easy to settle in and enjoy brunch. The restaurant itself has a modern, stylish aesthetic that feels elevated without being pretentious. From the moment we sat down, the service was exceptional. Our server was attentive, welcoming, and struck that perfect balance of checking in without ever making us feel rushed. Now, let's talk about the food. The Tres Leches French Toast completely exceeded my expectations. I've had plenty of French toast over the years, but this one stood out. It was incredibly soft and fluffy with beautifully crisp edges, creating that perfect contrast in texture. The tres leches flavor was rich enough that it genuinely didn't need syrup--a rare compliment for French toast. Every bite was indulgent without feeling overly sweet. Paired with the perfectly cooked apple-smoked bacon and a bowl of fresh fruit, it was one of the better brunch plates I've had in quite some time. I also ordered the strawberry mimosa, which was bright, refreshing, and not overly sweet. It was the perfect companion to brunch. We couldn't leave without trying the Chicken Burrata Sandwich, and I'm so glad we did. The burrata was fresh and creamy, the chicken was juicy, and the spicy sauce added just enough heat to keep every bite interesting without overpowering the sandwich. Then there was the bun--soft, fresh, and sturdy enough to hold everything together. It tied the entire sandwich together beautifully. The fries deserve their own mention. Golden brown, perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside--exactly how fries should be. Between the beautiful setting, genuinely attentive service, and food that delivered across the board, 179 Bar & Grill earned every one of these five stars. It's the kind of place that's just as good for a casual brunch as it would be for bringing friends or celebrating a special occasion. I'll absolutely be back--and next time, I'm already planning to explore more of the menu.
