Our instructors were extremely thorough and made sure they kept an eye on us until they felt confident we could handle some of the climbs on our own. As someone who isn't afraid of heights I was impressed by the sheer scope and height of some of the climbs and really felt like I was getting a serious "pump" going during a few of them. I want to get more into bouldering and will have to take one of the courses they offer on working your way through some of the complications over there!

Justin and Jasmine made sure we stayed hydrated, and regularly brought us into the air conditioning to avoid overheating. They ensured our safety every moment we were there. The rope course was insanely fun, the giant swing and zip line were a blast and our favorite part was honestly the rock climbing! Justin and Jasmine were fantastic - we will definitely come back (preferably not during a heat wave haha) and hope they will be our guides again - every single person today made it memorable for my family! Sarah made sure that everything was planned in a way that made the most sense and following her guidance led us to a day I dreamed of. When there were hiccups with a bartender being out due to COVID, she was quick to come up with a solution and I didn't even know of the issue until after the night was over. Sarah handled everything on the day-of, even transporting our personal décor, so I only had to concentrate on being with my people and soaking it all in. On top of all of that, the food was AMAZING. I would eat their short ribs for every meal and the fennel and ricotta flatbread was to die for. Everyone says you don't eat at your own wedding but Chef's Expressions made sure we got served a little of EVERYTHING so we got to eat every single dish at our wedding and they were all phenomenal. I didn't think pasta would hold up well served en masse but the pesto especially was really phenomenal. Every hors d'oeuvres, station, and dessert was delicious. Our cake was also provided through Chef's Expressions and was one of the best wedding cakes I had ever eaten. Pros: - The food was delicious - The tasting was also delicious as the food is very good -The servers at my wedding were awesome and helpful - They helped create a layout for the wedding - They seemed to listen to what we wanted - They created a timeline of the wedding Cons: - They had last minute questions that should have been addressed at the tasting/ questions were asked that we had reviewed at the tasting (cake flavor, types of alcohol, etc.) Instead of asking them the month before the wedding they were asked the week of the wedding. - The day-of coordinator that was promised was invisible. - The clean up of the event was disorganized. I ended up taking items with me that were supposed to go to a point person that was known by all parties. As a bride, this is the last thing you want to have to think about. If the event coordinator were present they would have known this. - A gift was lost and chef's expressions did not seem concerned. With hindsight 20/20, I would have hired a wedding planner and waited until the year 2020 where The Maryland Historical Society will allow other caterers.

While scouring for a team building event for work, we decided to reach out to this company. Their website is forthcoming with a ton of information, but they were helpful on the backend of things. Purchasing tickets was easy, and it's great that tickets were available until the day of the event. I have never been to one of these things before but was kind of exciting. I have heard that it can be cheesy or campy, but I'm up for the camp. Who doesn't love dinner and a show? We had a large group, around 40 people or so and with prior warning they were able to make it work where our whole group sat in a designated area. That also kind of played into the whole way this played out. Before you come here they will send you an email with information on how to proceed. You will get confirmation numbers after you select your meal. Chicken, fish, or vegetarian are your choices. They also tell you that the actors will be intermingled throughout the crowd. Having four tables taken up by your group cuts down on who the actors are and helps you out in the end. The show is entertaining. I laughed a few times to the point where I had heads turn my way. The actors were spot on for their script and at the end of each act, which you should pay attention to, you are given a QR code to go through the clues. As the show is going on you are treated to a meal. But it is not obviously the best selection of food. As this is being hosted at a hotel, you are eating hotel food that you might find if you attended a banquet at said hotel. It fits the bill for dinner and a movie, but otherwise, nothing to write home about. Back to the show portion. I forgot to mention that you have a mingling session at the start. You are encouraged to go around the room and network to see if you can get any information on who you might think are the actors before you really know they are an actor. At the end, you get to write down your answers to see if you are right. You most likely will be right, but a majority of the room will probably be right as well. The thing I didn't like about it was that even though you might have the right answer, you most likely will not get picked as the winner at the end of the night. You will most definitely see that the winner will have been sitting at the table with the 'whodunnit' all along. It isn't that bad of a night. It is a great time to be had. You are paying for dinner and a show and that they deliver on. The actors are hilarious, and when they need to attend to business they attend to business. We had one person who needed a vegan option and they pulled through for us at the last minute. I really appreciated that.

Recently finished Mike Harris' Intro to Improv 101 course (7 week course)- it was a blast. Had fun and learned a lot. As a student you get to go to all BIG's shows for free which is nice, good learning opportunity. They have various types of improv shows every Thurs-Sat nights, been to several and enjoyed them. Highly recommend taking a course or seeing a show. Am now in Michael Furr's standup comedy class which has been amazing so far. Aesthetics wise, it's no luxury theatre (they rely on donations and grants to stay operating, so this is understandable!) but it gets the job done and is homey. Convenient location near a few local bars. Parking Tip: If attending an evening show, get there early if you want to find easy street parking right out front (cheap, pay via kiosk or Parkmobile app). There's a parking garage across the street that's $5 if you tell them you're there for the theatre.

He was super attentive to his students, encouraged everyone to set their own boundaries and promoted open communication through games and improv. I'm an introvert and this was my first time ever doing something like this. I'm happy I didn't back out at the last minute (like I normally would).
